Tor! Russia underestimated the resolve of the West to support Ukraine. They didn't know that the support would be this massive. Russia had an easy workover in 2014 in Crimea without any resistance as there were no Western support. Now that the support is massive, Russia is feeling the heat. Imagine providing Ukraine with satellite images of Russian troops movement. It helps with intelligence gathering and attack. The massive arsenal of foreign weaponry at the disposal of Ukraine are enough to check mate Russia. Imagine if the West should provide Ukraine with more advanced lethal weaponry that can strike deeper into Russia, Putin would have called for negotiations.

Its not an interview session for people to tell us the pros and cons of past actions, its about the mass impact it could have on families as they tends to scatter across the India ocean with less and lesser possibilities of ever meeting/seeing their relatives again

Those without strong nuclear and extended family bonds will not understand. For them, "japa " is a means of forgetting their families and the problems of their kinsmen. For us with deep family orientation, the fact that my children will not be able to bond with their cousins, uncles and aunties is worrisome. Some have already lost the connection with their kinsmen, tribe, language and culture.

My parents generation are the last set of parents to experience what it means to have your children around you, discuss with them, get together as family during festive periods. Our generation will not have that opportunity. Greater percentage of Nigeria's middle and upper class are preparing their children for life outside Nigeria. You can't quantity the true cost of "japa" to Nigerian families. The failure of the system has destroyed the very fabric of unity, which is the family. Generations of Nigerians born abroad will never get to see the country, understand their native languages, know their cousins and even their kinsmen.

This has been a known fact. Nigeria's GDP has been stagnant since 2014. Those that graduated within the period 2000 to 2010 had choices on which aptitude tests to attend. Banks, IOCs, Consulting and Multinationals were always advertising for Management Trainee positions and others. Nairaland job site was always filled up with outcome of tests and upcoming interviews.

Sadly, that is not the case again! Every where is closed - you hardly see open recruitment as companies are going through tough times. I have four recent graduates, two are in my house, all looking for job. The same story are being told by other graduates. There is no economic growth without full employment. Though, it is difficult to have full employment in any economy but the current Nigeria's situation calls for concern. Unemployment has serious negative consequence - both on the unemployed and on the general economy.

What is even the current standard of FGCs schools? They used to be elitist schools in 80s and mid 90s. Rich and affluent Nigerians are no longer eager to send their wards to FGCs. Private schools are filling the gaps.

The far right party, Alternative for Germany don see opportunity to sell their anti Islam, anti immigration agenda to the voters. But honestly, what will happen to Germany in decades to come will surprise them. Former chancellor, Angela Merkel opened border to more than 3m Syrians and Afghanistan without any verification. That’s within range. I think it is ok. You may go for a second opinion from another lab. I suggest you use the well known labs like Afriglobal or similar ones. Once I tried doing checks at a lab near my home. These guys almost scared me with high ESR score. I never knew they made up the numbers without doing test. I presented it to my doctor and he directed me to another popular laboratory which gave a total different result. ESR was normal within range.

So always get a second opinion when you get a negative result. Some of these local labs don’t actually run the test, they just quote numbers.

Well noted. Things like PSA, Glucose and BP could be repeated elsewhere to be sure of the result. I always do Glucose multiple times.

I just completed all these same tests last week and picked up my result.
Surprisingly, my PSA count is 1, which put me on red alert, even though a PSA of 1 to 4 is considered normal. Anything above has to be taken seriously. I have not reached 1 before - It has always being 0.6 or 0.7. I want to rerun it again.
