truthislight: On the OT prophesies fulfiling on Jesus to proof he is the messaiah, try some of what i posted on a thread to logic boy below.
The prophesies that fulfiled on Jesus christ from the OT are so many.
see this one:
Now for the forth post (4) on bible prophesy:
This was my initial question to you and this is your answer i supposed.
the appearance of the messaiah:
"Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem until the Messiah the Prince there shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times." (Daniel 9:25).
Note the sign to mark the appearance of the mesaiah :
"from the "going forth of the commandment" to restore and to build Jerusalem until the Messiah" (going forth of the commandment)
and when was this words given to rebuild Jerusalem ?
"And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence." (Nehemiah 2:1).
"And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers’ sepulchres, that I may build it. And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time." (Nehemiah 2:5-6).
"Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah;" "And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me." (Nehemiah 7:8.)
^^^ now we know when the words were given by the letter authorising the rebuilding of Jeruselam : the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, (Nehemiah 2:1).
So, From secular sources history also shows that the first year of king Artaxerxes as ruler was 474BCE and as such the twentieth year of his rule that the word went forth was = 455BCE, we have the date for the going forth of the word and the starting point for the appearance of the messaiah
so, the duration will be a day = 1year as in yearly sabbath (Exodus 23:11). :
seven weeks(7*7= 49years) and threescore(3*20 = 60weeks *7 = 420 years) and two weeks(7*2 = 14). (Daniel 9:25)
Total = 49+420+14 = 483years befor the Messiah will appear.
And the starting point we hard was the 20th year OF the king Artaxerxes = 455BCE
so, 455 - 483 =29CE the year that Jesus was anointed as the masaiah(baptise) ^^^ perfect prophesy (note, no zero years in date)
again, masaiah's death :
there is a calculation for the cutting off of the messaiah also.
Next is COMING :

there are others on that ^ thread.
Peace. Good work at your exigesis. What you are doing is forcing the bible into your opinion. You know I can use that same quote for the current Israel president? Common I dont fall for this cheap words. Lets start here..... - the name of the king prophecised toward the time of messiah is contradictory with the king of Jesus days. Nope? Was Jesus a prince....of which king? Give me direct prophecy and not this exigesis. |

Sports › Re: Describe Golden Eaglets In One Word? by FOLYKAZE(m): 8:02pm On Nov 08, 2013 |
pendusky: SORRY BRO HERE IS THE SUMMRY
Nigeria became the most successful team in FIFA U-17 World Cup history with a 3-0 win over holders Mexico at the Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The final was a rematch of the 6-1 win Nigeria inflicted on the Mexicans in Group F play and sees the Golden Eaglets lay hands on the junior world trophy for the fourth time in their history, one better than South American giants Brazil. When the final whistle went in the UAE capital, fans and players alike rejoiced, fingers pointed to the sky, with what has become the traditional Nigerian celebration of: “yes, yes yes!”
Mexico kept the ball for a full two minutes at the start of the game, moving it around well and making the Nigerians chase. El Tri even managed the first chance on goal after six minutes. Osvaldo Rodriguez crossed from the left, but Alejandro Diaz couldn’t keep his close-range effort the right side of the post. Two minutes on and Ivan Ochoa – who scored twice in the semi-final win over Argentina – saw his off-balance header pushed over the bar by Dele Alampasu.
The corner came to nothing for the Mexicans, but Nigeria benefitted greatly by bursting out on a classic counter-attack. Kelechi Iheanacho went flying up the pitch. With just one Mexican defender in position, the No10 Golden Eaglet laid the ball in for Taiwo Awoniyi who then fed it on to Musa Yahaha, who had a little help from Erick Aguirre. The Mexican midfielder mistakenly hit the ball into his own net in an attempt to recover.
With the score 1-0, Musa Muhammed was giving the Mexicans fits with his rampaging runs up the right side. He pinned the opponents back at every opportunity. As the first half pushed toward the interval, the Africans upped their tempo in search of a second goal. Yahaya rattled the crossbar with a stunning effort from 20 yards out after 38 minutes. Pressure was mounting and the fans in the stands were on their feet when Awoniyi’s bicycle-kick from the penalty spot forced Raul Gudino into a magnificent reaction save in the dying moments of the half. The second period began with a frenzy of attacks at both ends of the pitch, but it was Nigeria who made theirs count, making it 2-0 in the 56th minute. Captain Muhammed unleashed a wicked swirling shot that Mexican keeper Gudino simply couldn’t hang on to. He spilled a rebound directly to the feet of the most dangerous man on the pitch, and Iheanacho made no mistake dispatching his sixth goal of the tournament.
With a quarter-hour to go, Mexico managed to carve out a rare second- half chance, but Ochoa’s header from close-range slipped wide of the post as the holders began to wilt under the ceaseless pressure of the buzzing Nigerians. Muhammed added a third with ten minutes to go, curling a sublime free-kick into the top corner. Anyone in UAE who had the pleasure to see them will tell you that this Nigerian team were the best on offer. Even a few of the Mexican fans were mumbling “yes, yes, yes” when the final whistle went on Nigeria’s glorious campaign here in UAE. Is this one word? |

Mr President: What I have given you is wholistic Yoruba history pre and post Oduduwa. Monotheistic before oduduwan history recall, polytheistic after Oduduwan history recall, linking Oduduwa to the cradle of man the East (or middle east), and How God's authentic children became worshippers of stone and wood(Jeremiah 17:4). Maybe you, Macof, are a sincere seeker but just confused, then, all I ask of you is to continue seeking with a pure heart, but by all means AVOID idolatry. Do good to all men and treat them as you would want to be treated. The light will shine through to you eventually.
keep in mind that Oduduwa may not actually even be the name of a person but a code word for a group of people who came to a place and conquered the original inhabitants. I am certain, with a measure of conviction, that folake was one of the people conquered by Oduduwa, this is the reason it is difficult for him to accept sound reasoning and facts of history. It hurts!
For the true Yoruba, it is a call to royalty, a call to walk in your original inheritance....as the true authentic bonafide children of God. The Bible was written by your forefathers who fell into idolatry, were punished by exile into the wildernesss of Africa and the furthest parts of the earth.
But then, there is hope and the time is nigh...
Zephaniah 3:10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.
folake is lost. He is destined for destruction. His motives are not pure. read this yourself and ask if you answer the question directed at you. |

Mr President: You are rambling folake. Why dont you google up the information. I have done justice to this thread by proving to you, through the custodians of Yoruba traditional history and culture-The Ogboni, that the Yoruba were originally monotheistic and believed in The Supreme Creator.
Idolatry was the reason they (and all other negroes) were cursed into Africa and also dispersed to all corners of the earth.
I leave you to your ramblings, you have just solidified my convictions about you. You are not truly Yoruba.
This thread is for the seeker who will find it later. Escapism 101 lol quote your bible pls. Egiso mean the king of they sky....Oduduwa was the royal son of last Egiso. Yoruba people believe Oduduwa is from the sky. Benin was name by Oranmiyan meaning the land of anger. Oba of benin heads sleep in Ife. Benin is the east of Ife. Now fix the puzzle. Mr President: East is Middle east, it is the cradle of humanity and it is contiguous with Africa. That is where life began and that is where Oduduwa came from. The Yoruba will always tell you they came from the East. It does not mean eastward of western Nigeria.
Oduduwa arrived at Ile-ife with a multitude of people. This is elementary history. Epic fail. Life didn't start in middle east but on Africa here. Fact. Benin is in the east of Ife. And did I tell you prince Ekaladerhan didn't travel with many people? Do you know how the title ooni evolve out? And you didn't answer my questions. Your post is gilberish. Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do You Embrace Abrahamic Faith Over African Spirituality? by FOLYKAZE(op): 2:45pm On Nov 08, 2013 |
Mr President: Oduduwa did not come alone. He led his people to Ile-ife where they met people like Setilu (Agboniregun) who taught him Ifa.
There are various accounts but the general consensus is that the ancient Israelites were dark-skinned and this is provable by asking yourself one or two questions;
1 How did Moses survive in the court of Pharaoh as a (white skinned?) baby, we know that the ancient Egyptians are dark skinned. 2 Why was Paul the apostle called an Ethiopian in Acts 21:38 Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?
I am begining to suspect that folake is not an Israelite. As a believer in reincarnation, I strongly suspect that he is one of indigenous people Oduduwa met at Ile-ife. This explains his strong opposition to reason. Oga deal with the question directed to you. I hate dodging around bush. Why did Benin or Edos allowed the last child of Oduduwa to be made a king over them or his descendants through Eweka 1st, if there was no blue blood connection? Why are Oba of bini head sleeping in Ife? Who is prince Ekaladerhan of Ogosi (king from the sky)? How does Oduduwa reappear in creation story again? Any difference between the creation and the historical fact? How did Eko came? Answer and lets roll. I wont accept running this second time o. Lol |

macof: Personally I dont sunscribe to the Oba of Benin story that Odududwa was from Uselu(former name of benin), when Oduduwa came he didnt come with any army. He came alone(wearing a royal attire) The Ife people believed he was the man of prophecy and accepted him as the first king of Ife.
before the expansion of the Yoruba nation from Ife to the current landmass, Ife people lived around in places like Iwo, Idanre etc which are in the east of Ife. Oduduwa come have been born in any of these places.
The birthplace of Oududuwa is still a mystery why are Oba bini heads buried in Ile-Ife? The simple answer is Oranmiyan. Before Oduduwa came, there had been people living in Oyo. I know this because I trace my lineage as Ikale through Obaseki to bini. But we still regard to ourselves as omo oja ife. I just want mr president to burst himself. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do You Embrace Abrahamic Faith Over African Spirituality? by FOLYKAZE(op): 2:06pm On Nov 08, 2013 |
Mr President: Oduduwa is not the son of any Ogiso. That is modern revisionism inspired by the present Oba of Benin. Up till the early 1900s, the heads of deceased Obas of Benin was being buried in Ile-ife. What does that tell you? When Oduduwa and his people arrived at Ile-ife and he was asked where he came from by the people he met on ground, he answered them that he came from Orun. What is orun? Orun is heaven. What is heaven? keep in mind that it was war that made Oduduwa leave the 'East', and that the Yoruba (as with all Negroes) are not indigenous to West Africa.
What is Heaven? Rulership. What is Earth? Subservience. Esoteric language. Lamentations 2:1 How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!
It was because of Idolatry that Israel was chased away from Heaven (Orun), it was because of Idolatry that Oduduwa was chased away from the 'East'. Those people who reside in the State of Israel today are not the real Israelites and they do not call themselves Israelites. They call themselves Israelis and refer to themselves as jewish. Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
It is part of Biblical prophecy that the original Israelites would forget their heritage.
Jeremiah 17:4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever
I am following this thread not because of you but for the sake of the seeker who will review it later and connect the dots. You are an insincere seeker and you will never get the truth in this state.
Santeria is Catholicism mixed with idolatry. You dare to accuse the custodians of Yoruba history of Idolatry even when they have expressly told you they are against it? Open your mouth and be condemned! lets start here. In Yoruba, we have patakis and Oral history. Differentiate Oduduwa among the both. For better understanding, Oduduwa was involve in the creation process. And also appear again despite people have been existing in Oyo. Orun mean sky, womb and invisible realm....there is nothing like rulership here. I will await your analogy on the differences. Lets learn.....lol |

NativeBoy: After knowing Christ, I can no longer turn to any mystic arts. Do I believe that these powers exist? Yes, after all, all societies have at some point tapped into them. What we Yorubas call babalawo, the native Americans calls shamans, in the east they are called yogis, gurus, etc. But therein is the problem, none of these are universal in scope and the knowledge they offer is esoteric.
My interest in the points you raised is to know whether the Yoruba traditional system really does have any connections to 21st century science, specifically with respect to organizing data in computer systems. I really did find the link between the 256 odus (16 x 16) and the 8-bit and 16-bit systems we use in modern day computing to be very interesting. I thank you for that bit (no pun intended) of information. I don't think it's a conscious link, rather just another indicator that our universe is governed by amazing mathematical order. I was aware that Egyptian, Sumerian, and certain other cultures had this kind of knowledge (albeit not to the extent we know it today), but I didn't know that it was do close to home, that we Yorubas also were clued in. This only further underscores that there is so much to know about Africa's past heritage, which is what I'm about. But as fascinating as it all is, none of it offers answers to the fundamental questions of sin, morality, justice, purpose, etc.
To answer your question squarely, I want you to seek Jesus Christ. Don't seek miracles, signs, etc. Just seek Christ and you will see the other things follow. The first thing required is to remove pride from the equation. folykaze bad gan. Lol. Which christ do you know? Jesus the italian guy or the one with chinese look? How does jesus look and where do you meet him? What does Jesus stand for..... 'hail zeus'.... He is coming to earth with fire....just like thor and Sango. Lol. Orunmila is intelligence. If you got brain, you cant deny it. Lol. Sango manifest as electric charge....can you deny that? Ogun manifest as Iron in your food and blood stream.. You want to deny that? Obatala manifest as light particle and Oduduwa is the womb of creation....you want to deny you aint condense energy? Seeking or practising here isn't worship but getting to understand and use them for ourselves. The air is there even though we deny it but we study air today for our better use.....so you expecting whity to dig into your spirituality? Lol. Jesus said he came for the Jew and concerned about the Jew.....in rev 3:9, 2:9 said he will fish out those that aint jew and those that disguise as jew as synagogue of satan. Isn't that your fate? Lol the finite position between 1 and 3 is cleared and that 2 is only between them both. But if you dig deep, there are infinites in the range. If you are truely intelligent, you will understand that simple analogy. Cheers man |

macof: If anyone one reading this has come across "original Jewish religion" www.nairaland.com/1482409/original-religion-Jews
I stated there that The Jews worshipped numerous gods initially. Even Abraham was a pagan who's family was devoted to Sin/Naana(Assyrian god of the moon)
Yahweh now has been proved to be the god of hills and (possibly) fruitfulness. But still he isn't the only god in judaism/christianity. There are more than we would surely find out with more research.
In the thread(link) above, I stated that Moses created a new religion for the Israelis, where all the Elohim(children of El) were worshipped as one god instead of the original amount that they were.
I expect to see more gods realized by Bible scholars to be worshipped by the Israelis Yahweh and most of the cultures of Israel are from canaan. Yahweh is among the deities of the canaanite. According to this site, http://booksnthoughts.com/ancient-jews-believed-in-the-existence-of-many-gods/ it is revealed that ancient jews believed in the existence of many Gods. I think Moses brought the concept of Monotheism into Jewish system. He hold them to reject other Gods except Yahweh. There is a verse in the bible that describe Yahweh as husband and Israel as verse. The verse went further saying Israel divorce her former husband and went into prostitution. I think that mean they were worshipping another Gods. Today Jews believe in YHWH Ruler of the universe. Considering the name too, it got no meaning. Jews do not believe in a "son" of G-d. Jews do not believe in a "holy ghost". There are no secondary gods or goddesses. There is also no Satan in Judaism, as this would suggest a power that could challenge G-d's, which cannot exist. Note: "Messianic Judaism" is not Judaism. One of the major distinguishing factors between Judaism and christianity is the thought that Jesus is the Messiah. Jews reject Jesus. Therefore, people who claim to be "messianic Jews" or "Jews for Jesus" are just plain Christians. |
