How else could he have read the game?
He made the changes early. They were right changes. He brought in Olayinka and Iwobi to put pressure on the defense. However, the red card disrupted it.
You guys remember we played a man down for a long time. I think the guys did well. It was just an unfortunate game. When did he make the changes? Before or after they scored? |

I do not think Iheanacho and Awoniyi were that poor. I think he pulled them out for more pace. I thought Iheanacho was working hard, dropping deep and moving the ball. That was his job but as soon as he got booked, he couldn’t do much of that again because he had to be cautious hence the need to replace him immediately before they score. |

TheGoodJoe: How long has Eguavoen had? Remember the lads were engaged few days to the tournament. Hope you do not think that is sufficient for a team that has played conservative football for over four years. What has reading of game got to do with how long he is with the team? Tuchel came in an won UEFA Champions league. Another excuse? |

codemaniacs: the only thing he could have done was to not let Awoniyi start the 2nd half..
he can't read the referee giving a red card.. not checking VAR for penalty.. I disagree. Iheanacho ought to have come out before the second half commenced because he couldn’t link with the attackers due to Tunisia’s overwhelming control of the midfield and he couldn’t no longer press due to the yellow card he had. |

Sometimes, these things you can not tell. I remember watching City against Southampton and how we kept missing chance after chance. It is football. Sometimes it happens.
We just need to keep building and tightening our tactics. The coach messed up. He ought to have read the game and quickly made tactically changes but no....bros was rigid. How long do we keep building? |

Sportilitica: Our midfield was quite thin Our game was predictable Nobody is to be blamed for this loss This was our slowest match and we tried the same pattern over and over again. I have always been weary of overhyping our chances but then this is football. Happy that Sadiq has redeemed his image. It was Olayinka that brought the best out of him. If he had played with Iheanacho, nothing go happen. |

Odunayaw: Hence Iwobi came in.
Awoniyi looked bad today because our wingers went to sleep. It was too late. He ought to have made changes in the first half or before second half commenced. They were all bad today save Aina, Ndidi, Zaidu and Olayinka who brought another dimension to the game. |

Kog45: Oga forgiveness, there is no need to argue, some of us have pass this level....truly Awoniyi had a very poor game inclusive Iheanacho but how will you be arguing with someone that said Ebuehi would have done better than Aina...Aina who was the best in that defense.
Good that we lost than to lose to Ghana...time to pray for injuries free for Victor Osimehn,Leon Balogun,Odion Ighalo,Onuachu,Dennis and possibly Lookman....I think time is too short to get a keeper against Ghana but I want Uzoho in goal. Almost all the players played poorly today due to the coach inability to read the match. I was surprised he came with the same players in the second half and started making changes after we were one goal down. Very painful. Alloy Agu should be removed from the team because he is the reason we don’t have a good goalkeeper. |

Even the only goal he scored in the tournament na fluke. I assure you, Osimhen will do nada against Tunisia. What’ did he do against Tunisia when we played third place match in 2019? Zelcheeeeee! |
