With regard to our discussion, two years ago is not "just".

I visit Abia state almost on monthly basis for business and projects. I must say there is a huge improvement compared to what obtains two years ago when you left although there is still a lot more to be done e.g Ariaria Market and the Osisioma Flyover.

That being said, I insist that Abia is not the worst state in Southern Nigeria. Have you been to places like Alagbole, Ajuwon, Olambe, Agbado Oja, Akute, Ishashi all in Ogun State? Like, how can you compare Ogun State to Abia in terms of road infrastructure? These are just the places I know in Ogun state oo.

I may concur if you say Southeast, but not southern Nigeria bro.
Bro, Aba is a well planned city but in terms of road infrastructures, it is lagging behind.

Same with everywhere in Abia State.

Now, there are many cities and towns in Ogun state and even the capital and Ota are far more developed than Umuahi and Aba.

From, Lagos toll gate to Iperu toll gate along Lagos Ibadan express way, there are many developments and infrastructures going on in that axis.

Ogun state is far more developed than Abia State.

Which other place has better ones?
Some people will start off criticizing the building of "Big Houses" in the villages as economic wastes.... Then in another moment, they're trying to compete with those who believe in this..., With their dusty villages ofcourse..
I have traveled reasonably across Nigeria and I think those Anambra villages have some of the best "village houses" around...
If you think I'm wrong, which might be true, mention other villages elsewhere that's are better in that area...
I don't know your definition of village. Can you please give me a name of one of the villages?

Continue to dance around the whole nairaland, anywhere you are now that is not Lagos and Abuja band Port Harcourt can't be better than Abia. Stop lying. You cannot demarket Abia State because it's one of the best state in Nigeria.
Which lie? I lived at Powerline and later stayed of Powerline.

Faulks road Umungasi, etc were done in my present.

Abia state is the least in the whole of Southern Nigeria though it has an industry that could have made it the best state in the East.

Lolz
I don't really know
The number of roads in Lagos shaa
Like wise Abia
Am not from both states
But in between Abia is almost times 2 of Lagos in landmass nah!
Also talking about road networking
Use Google statelite view and view both cities (Aba and Lagos)
You will see that Aba has more plan road networking than Lagos
No doubt, Aba has planned road network but not more than Lagos. And it's in bad conditions.

Abeokuta, Ota etc are far better than Umuahia and Aba.

Ok.

Are you still staying in Abia State?
If not, when did you leave Abia State?
Which other states have you been to and in what respect are they better than Abia?

Please, I just want to learn for knowledge sake.

Thanks.
I left just 2 years ago.

Of course, the current governor is trying. He has built Faulks road, Umungasi road etc but the streets in Aba are in bad conditions.

I have been to all the States in the South. Even Ebonyi of yesterday has overtaken Abia state in infrastructure.

And here I was thinking Abia has the worst road.

Lagos-Abeokuta road is also the worst federal I've ever travelled, from toll gate, to sango to Ifo, all the roads are dilapidated.
When last did you pass through Lagos- Abeokuta road and didn't take note of the construction going on there?

Besides, it's a federal road.

That's what they made you believe. It's for people that haven't travelled to places. Abia is better than most of these states 100 times. Social media is blowing their nyash open sha. Small time they will go and dig up 1987 pictures of Aba.
Abia state is the worst state in the Southern Nigeria.

I stayed there for almost a decade.

Abia don't even really have bad roads like that
Only the major federal roads,
That pass through the state (as it shares border with 5 states)

The whole of Abiriba in Abia (small London)
don' t even have a single bad road, even igbere too, but that can't even be said of leki ,vi or any other part of Lagos
Not withstanding that The towns I mentioned has more landmass than leeki and co.
bad road in Lagos
Is almost every where
Abia own is just few part outskirt of aba
Igbere is Kalu's hometown and there are still bad roads there.

What about Aba and Umuahia?

Stop deceiving people here. Aba doesn't have good roads though has the best planned road network in the East.

Oldboss:
The home-based players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria
have another chance to show why they deserve more
opportunities in the senior national team when they play
friendly matches against Canada, Ghana and Cameroon.
The team recently lost 4-0 to Mexico in an international
friendly game played at the Los Angeles Coliseum in
California, United States.
Speaking after the game watched by over 50,000 fans,
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick,
revealed that the federation was on the verge of finalising
arrangements for the friendly games, which would hold
before the 2022 World Cup qualifiers begin later this year.
He added that the matches would hold in the 73,000
capacity M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, United States.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick (centre) with home-based
Super Eagles at training camps
“This is the launchpad we are providing for you to
showcase your talents,” Pinnick said while addressing the
players. “This team is our pride, and we will keep you and
monitor you because you are the next big thing in Nigerian
football.”
“In October, we will be flying the team to Baltimore for
friendly games against Ghana possibly, Cameroun and
Canada, maybe. We will sort that out in the coming
weeks. We will tidy up all the documentation. You will be
playing at the 73,000 capacity M&T Bank Stadium.”
In the game against Mexico, Nigeria presented a team made
up of players from the Nigerian Professional Football League
(NPFL) with Ibrahim Sunusi, who plays for Montreal FC the
only foreign-based star in the squad.
The team’s inexperience showed as they fell to the
Mexicans with goals from Hector Herrera, Rogelio Funes
Mori and Jonathan dos Santos.

Defeat Against Mexico
Speaking on the game, Super Eagles Head Coach, Gernot
Rohr, praised the team for ‘a good outing.’
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr
“These are young players playing in front of over 50,000
fans in a foreign land. It was not easy but they showed they
can play this game,” Rohr said. “We are very happy that
fans are returning to stadiums after a long time playing in
empty stadiums.”
“Mexico is number 11 in the world and our young team
consist of the best players in the professional league at
home. They have learnt a lot from this game. I saw some
interesting players who could be useful in our next World
Cup qualifiers. Some of these players still have to work to
improve physically.”
Rohr explained that the game was part of Nigeria’s
preparations for the World Cup qualifiers, which will start
with a home team against Liberia on September 3.
“A few days later, we hope to play against Cape Verde
before meeting Central African Republics,” Rohr added. ” It
is a long way to the World Cup, but this match has shown
that some of the local players can play in the World Cup
qualifiers.”
“The match was a good lesson for my players because
Mexico are one of the favourites for the Gold Cup.”
It’s a welcome development. The players tried and I like the way they passed the ball though there was little creativity in the middle.

I like the way they dribbled though Iwuala over do am. He is still very raw talent.

And what makes you think those in the NW and NE aren't concerned about their own lives?

You think they're enjoying the bandits or what?

Everyone in the North knows that the bandits are a cancer to the Northern society caused by failed leadership and the selfish motives of some wicked actors in high places. We are all complaining of bandit killings. You think the Farmers that can't farm are happy? The women that can't go to the market? The commoners on the streets?

How do you guys really think?

AREWA is a united and powerful political bloc (and remains so for all intents and purposes) and it will take more than the cheap, weak and selfish exploitation of our common security problem to try and sow division in our midst for political gain. Try harder.
North Central comprises of Kwara, Kogi, Niger, Benue, Nassarawa and Pleatue states.

Which of this is/are politically inclined to the “North”?

Maybe only Niger, Nassarawa and 2 out Senators from Kogi.

Honestly speaking, things are taking new dimension these days.

Swners, I mean both Christian and Muslim wants/desires a better living standard than Presidency.

Of course, they might have sensed betrayal and backstabbing after helping this government to gain power but their ultimate goal is to live well.

Unfortunately, the country system of government has rendered many youth here jobless, hopeless and poor.

People no longer see one Nigeria as the way forward because they thought Buhari was the messiah to give them all these but unfortunately, he has no idea of governance or plan going into this.

Now that the last hope is lost, they want to move away.

Tinubu imagine is already tarnished in the SW because of Buhari.

He has lost many supporters and followers already.

This could be the end of APC/AC/ACN era in Lagos though my personal opinion.

The 1979 constitution was drafted by Justice Egbert Udo Udoma.

The 1999 constitution was drafted by Justice Niki Tobi.

It was written by the judiciary, approved by the legislature( who are the representatives of the people) and signed by the executives (the president)
