Sorry after flying officer how many years does it takes to be promoted again? I heard its 5years is that true?

and how can I move to a regular officer since I'll be joining with Bsc not from NDA?

3 to 4yrs for RC officers. Promotion for short service in most cases exceeds 4yrs. There are exceptions though, especially for those in the medical corps.

You'd have to convert to DRC. There's a course for conversion, but conversion is NOT automatic bro. Note this and factor it into your plans.

Best wishes.

2019 was a blessing to me.
I made over $12,000 working on Fiverr in year 2019.

Note: I'm an Architect not a writer.

I think we can work together off and on fiverr.

I'm an experienced civil/structural engineer, based and practicing in Lagos... Have been meaning to really explore fiverr, but due to the awful workload I just been procrastinating...

I can do you a PM if you'd permit.

Thanks

Curse all you want, but sha loose weight.
For your own sake!

And I am not only talking to this actress, but everyone concerned.

Watch your BMI. Health is wealth.

Nice post!
Actually, if BMI could separate muscular mass from fat mass, it would have been a perfect ratio.

Not totally correct.
Many Naval officers wear beard including Nigeria. Thats Ojukwu spotting a beard in Nigeria Army uniform not as a rebel
Some soldiers of some countries also spot beards including US Marines as shown below

So you can't see *rising sun* on his uniform?

sorry I just have to ask this question as it's disturbing me.
Is it true that to measure English competence e.g via IELTS. It is judged based on the lowest score in the 4 bands?

L8
S8
W6.5.....this will be the basis for scoring
R8

If I were you, I'd apply for a remark of the writing. If the interval for remarking has not elapsed, please go and remark, there are things one doesn't joke with oo... Lolzzz.

Would mechanical and production Engineering degree be considered relevant to civil engineering draftperson experience?

You will need a qualification in that field and/or a job description to match.

The job description you'd be stating needs to be tailored according to that stated on the anzosearch website.

With good enough evidence and documents you can claim whatever.

Dear NLanders,
Pls help a brother. How is the best possible way to reject an employment offer after initially accepting it. I have to reject it because after I tendered my resignation in my present place of work, I was given a promotion to match the employment offer I got.
Thanks

Take it from me, your firm will sack you in no time! All they are doing is to help you reject your new job, so that when they sack you, you will feel the heat that you lost on both ends.

Most firms don't like it when staff have the effontery to resign.

I resigned sometime in the past and stood my ground despite the juicy offers made. I have never for a day regretted making that decision. Yeye people!!!

Melbourne is the next big thing now in terms of major capital projects Melbourne Metro coming up in less than 6 months time; by 2020 there would be no underground works in SYD for another 4 years .That is not to say there wouldn't be other construction projects. But tunnelling or underground industry is like the new oil in Australia ( worth 3bn aud$ ).

Mind a PM bro? Need to go on professional mode with you and won't want to sorta derail the thread.

Thanks.

To those who are interested, Jesuit Social Services are having an information session on the African Australian Inclusion Program in Sydney. The program is primarily to help Africans who are having a challenge with getting a job as a result of not having local experience. Its a 6-month paid work experience with NAB.

Date - 15th February 2018
Time - 9.30am to 12.30pm
Venue - NAB, The Auditorium, 105 Miller Street, North Sydney

You will need to register prior to attending and take a photo ID along on the day of the event.

For registration, I think you will be able to do that on the Jesuit Social Services website.

All the best

That's very nice of you to have shared this info! I'd have registered with urgent alacrity if only I have arrived aussie. I just hope this system will still be in place by the time I secure a PR...

shut the f*ck up! We are talking about surviving four years in NDA. Rising from Lt to Maj. Distinguishing herself as dedicated teacher. The unifying force between children and husband. The truest representation of a traditional kanuri woman. A masterful slay queen of the NA. A role model. An inspiration to especially the female cadets. Meanwhile she is most beautiful than your sisters, wife/gal friend and mother put together. Congrats to gallantry of its kind. Serve us well with your new rank.

And who told you she went through NDA?

Hi Oga Bellong. I’m not state sponsored. I’m on 189. It’s an option I have not thought of. Will consider it. Thanks

Don't consider that bro... Come back to Nigeria, like you said, you will get a job... I tell you solemnly, there are lots of jobs here, so much that we have our own immigration system and business, the power is awesomely available 247, the healthcare system is out of this world, the military will lay down their lives in your defence, your kids will have the best of education and a bright future, the roads and infrastructure are being maintained and brought up to capacity, the politicians are selfless, our leaders are humane, the judiciary is nothing but perfect, the agricultural sector is booming, there interest free loan facilities for startups... I can keep going, but I believe I have made my point.

You have every right to your opinion, I respect that.

Please, where in Melbourne are you staying? Have you had any conversation with other Nigerians resident in Melbourne? Have you corroborated your experience with other blacks? I'm not resident in Australia, but find it hard believing your epistle. People have stated their culture shocks and nothing close to what you have shared was ever mentioned.

Thanks

Do you even have any idea of what preparation means? So not eating for less than 3hours will kill you? hahahhahahhahahh.... you guys are funny Abeg, with mindsets like this, little wonder this country is not not going anywhere.

Not eating for 3hours and more may not kill you, and you don't represent the entire human race!

My former boss needs to regularly up his sugar level every 2hours or thereabout, so, stop generalizing, it proves absolutely NOTHING!!

All these are mere excuses , any company can use any criteria they deem fit when it comes to recruiting workers, any company is as good as its workforce so don't blame them if they aim for the best.

Don't be too quick to judge madam. Those we are copying are evolving positively, but we are just here perpetuating mediocrity. That young lady may have grave circumstances behind her decision to accept lunch... I believe she knows that the best decision for her is to accept that lunch and solve her immediate challenge, probably to gain some composure and all. The only area I felt she flawed was not being careful enough to avoid the oily mess on her shirt.

Mind you, I have been to an interview where I drank water, took a cup of coffee, ate snacks and still go the job! So my dear, having a bite or a drink won't affect your competency for that position.

It's only a shitty company that can go this far and deny a competent and prospective employee a role cos he/she accepted a meal offer.

May God continue to bless the Bishop.
It is instructive to know that the Bishop, Daddy Adeboye and so many men of God that are wealthy today started poor.

And the poor masses that started with them became poorer!

Must they enrich themselves? Why not they choose to live a monk kind of life (a life without much ostentatious brouhaha) and attend to better the lives of the masses?

It's not a bad idea for one to boast about his/her thriving 'business venture'

I finally migrated to Perth, Australia early December 2018. Before leaving, I was already applying for jobs and secured a job in new Zealand. I moved to Auckland, New Zealand mid-january 2018. As an Australian PR, you have unrestricted right to work in new zealand so it's something worth exploring.

I am looking at max 1 year working in new Zealand and relocating back to Australia( might even leave earlier if I get a job in Australia) but most importantly I get ANZ work experience and some quids on my pocket. On a lighter note New Zealand is a beautiful country.

I hope this helps.

Please, what's your professional background? If it's engineering, kindly shed more technical details, like job description, condition of service, software programs used, professional membership etc... One needs to prepare aggressively and on ALL fronts.

Thanks

I'm not offended. That said, ain't going to die now. Secondly, one yoruba adage says ''we no dey hear anything after saying you are right''. Travelling Abuja to Osun one day i was driving between okenne and kabba at around 5.30am. One SARS police told me my car was tinted which a blind guy will tell you no. After dragging the matter, he became angry and pointed his gun at me. I gave him 2k and today I am alive. Point is some people don't value lives and best thing to stay alive is to avoid them. I run large farmlands and if for any reason they invade my farm, best I will do is get the police involved or speak to them calmly. If dem hear a so if dem no hear I move on. I value my life. This country will still better and I will be alive by God's grace to witness it. My blood is not worth it for this country. Anyone that wants to shed his own should.

It's good my earlier point was duly acknowledged! From your epistle, you are either NOT a Nigerian or a careless one at best, who has intentionally refused to come to terms with reality.

No offence.
