PoliticsRe: You Dare Not - Northern Reps Threaten Jonathan Over Ministers, by FrankC3: 9:03pm On Feb 18, 2010
@Tsiya
Please, are you Hon Ningi or do you know his house to posit that it cannot accommodate 60 'horror-ables' And i wonder how you dismiss the news simply because you have not really seen a house that can contain 60 pot bellies.

@OP
But really, the so called north do not get it. Times have changed. Any discerning northern politician knows that this is not a good time to throw around threats. This is a time to negotiate and make concessions before they find themselves on the brink. And as a matter of fact, democracy, whether good or bad can never favor the northern oligarchy and some smart ones knows that. Just check the last ten years and tell me how exactly the north is getting better. The long distorted northern political 'unity' is fast falling apart. IBB is no more incharge, OBJ is. Check the indicators. So, those 60 guys should learn to live with reality and find a way of exacting the best benefits from it. In 20 years time and at the pace we are going, the so called north will be singing a different song, and you know the worst part, there is nothing they can do about it. Abdul Ningi and his crew better think before they act.
PoliticsRe: Federal Pardon by FrankC3: 8:47pm On Feb 18, 2010
Federal government also 'pardoned' Niger Delta Militants. They pardoned Obasanjo too. We know what pardon means in FG dialect.
PoliticsRe: Cbn Job: Soludo Vs Sanusi Approach (Vote) by FrankC3: 10:02pm On Feb 14, 2010
Obviously, the difference is clear. Soludo have got class, Sanusi doesn't. Soludo's policies are intellectually deep and may not be even clearly understood by the lay-man (so it is difficult to understand the policy papers if you are not an economist), Sanusi comes across as a man that understands it the way i (being a lay-man) does. I feel very comfortable if CBN under Soludo is featuring at global space than i do under Sanusi. The fact is that you may not agree with Soludo on his approach but dare not ask for a policy argument with him lest you disgrace your self ( he seem to have all the graphs, charts, projections, roll back plan, exit strategy, comprehensive plan and hence one feel more comfortable trusting him with complex job like CBN). Sanusi appears like a light weight and seem to act before he thinks, he also seem to act to impress somebody and i can't personally see intellectual depth in his works.

If CBN is my organization and i have the choice of the two as candidates for MD, i will actually choose Soludo over Sanusi and will wonder about my human resources system that put both of them in the same class.

MY thoughts,

PoliticsRe: Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab Was Set Up by FrankC3: 5:08pm On Jan 29, 2010
All these conspiracy theorists. How did Israel get involved? I want to connect the dots. At what point? Don't tell me WHY you feel that they are involved, i just want to know HOW. And you think that if America need all the oil in the ND, they will need the services of that terrorist boy to actualize it. May be they are also interested in the millet in Kano to be causing Kano, Bauchi, Kaduna , Sokoto and Jos riots.

Stop deceiving your self. That boy should thank his stars that McCain lost to Obama. He would have been in guantanamo bay by now and that rubbish Iranian regime would have received a rain of hail stone.
PoliticsRe: Yaradua Scheduled To Return Latest By Next Month by FrankC3: 4:55pm On Jan 29, 2010
Continue deceiving your self. We are not excited. Nobody is waiting for him. We feel that we'll be better without him. Let him just handover if he is still alive.
PoliticsRe: Now That We Are No More Good In Soccer, What Can Make One A Proud Nigerian? by FrankC3: 10:20pm On Jan 28, 2010
@Ikengawo
My friend, i am not in US or UK. I am actually in Nigeria and i've got no development picture to swap with you. The only one i've got are:

1. The faces of Amodu and Yakubu after the final whistle
2. The new machine being installed in Aso Rock for your president instead of handing over to a healthy man.
3. The 'innovative' response by the factions hitherto disadvantaged in the killing spree in Jos
4. The Rule of Law AGF
5. The Picture of murdered Dipo
6. The 'skycrapper' defeat of the FOI bill for another round by your 'representatives'
7,

You can add to the list. Maybe they dont stay in my part of Nigeria, but i would wish to have those pics,

PoliticsRe: Human Rights Watch Reports On Jos Crisis-11 Month Old Girl Axed by FrankC3: 8:13pm On Jan 28, 2010
Nonsense you may say but it started since 1966. Gowon (an indigen of the present flashpoint) saw nothing wrong with it, so did others. Women were despoiled, young boys lined up and shot at close range churches bombed with women and children refugees, more that 9000 dying every day from hunger and nothing was wrong with that. Benjamin Adekunle made his 'celebrated speech' and so did other actors . All you hear is that we should 'just forget and move on'. Now, the cycle is continuing and i urge all the bereaved and sympathisers to 'just forget and move on'. One Nigeria!!!

PoliticsRe: Saudi Royal Family Want Yar’adua Sent Back To Nigeria by FrankC3: 10:44am On Jan 25, 2010
Complete bullshit!! Thisday?? Now guys, lets go back to the report.

The recommendation from the Saudi's is comming from a diplomatic source. What has 'a diplomatic source' to do with a patient in the hospoital?

Now, see this line:

"Hajia Yar’Adua, the Nigerian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Abdullahi Aminchi, who was deputy to Yar’Adua as governor of Katsina State, and a few personal aides are said to be the only ones that have access to the President at the hospital. The access, is said not to always translate to influence while those with influence and constitutional authority have no access to the President in his hospital suite."

If it is true, then how come :

"THISDAY checks reveal that Yar’Adua often moves around his hospital suite unaided but may have lost as much as eight to 10 kilos of his normally lean weight, prompting his wife, Turai and family members to wanting him to regain some of his weight and stability before returning home."

You first reported that only Turai, Aminci and 'few' personal aides are the only ones that can see the guy of which Thisday is none of. How then did you see him to know that he has lost '10kilos'. To know that he moves around unaided also needs visual contact which the report says that Thisday is not meant to have. So, how come they know it and they are not even quoting Turai, Aminci nor the aides.

This is nothing but a poorly scripted lies meant to keep up the hope that YRD is still alive and concious, nothing more. And my guess is that if they are working this hard to keep the discussion about YRD at this level, common sense will suggest that the guy might be gravely incapacitated or even the other extreme,
PoliticsRe: Violence In Sokoto? Not Religious/Political Says Police by FrankC3: 10:17am On Jan 25, 2010

And why is that? People are possibly dying and you consider that not topical enough to have a space in the frontlines? Man! How do some people just take human life or is it just because Sokoto is mentioned? I tire!

Some people are just waking up. But it was an 'Igbo' coup, could a coup led by a 'group of greedy people' have brought leadership sanity in Nigeria?

Mr Bakare, my question for you is did you just discover this or have you always known the potential 'fruits' of the failed coup? Maybe, helping us understand this may be a good place to start.

The anti-Igbo elements will not see this as chronic disunity in the Yoruba leadership but if any money-miss road Igbo political contractor speak a word against Ekwueme or another Igbo politicians, they will be all over nairaland spewing thrash.
PoliticsRe: America’s Middle East Policy Responsible For Terrorism – Jibril Aminu by FrankC3: 3:16pm On Jan 11, 2010
You can see the kind of people we have as leaders. This guy is the chairman senate comittee on foreign affairs and you can xray his policy thoughts on a heavy issue like international terrorism. What happened to tact, even when you are so sure of what you are saying. Jubril is tellign us in essence that the policy is a good reason for the terrorists to bring down the WTC. Now, how do you think that America will see such a thought? He obviously have sympathy for the cause of the terrorists and some guys are all over here questioning our latest classification.
PoliticsRe: Sule Lamido Is Performing Well {pics Incl} by FrankC3: 9:44am On Jan 11, 2010
The packaging has just began. It is an open secret (from the print media) that this Lamido guy is OBJ's candidate for VP in the circumstance of YRD's permanent incapacitation. This was just how the packaging of YRD started and we all know the end. How come this whole 'miracle in jigawa' has been hidden till now? We are watching.
PoliticsRe: Papa (ojukwu) U 2 Sweet by FrankC3: 3:06pm On Dec 18, 2009
All those things you dont like in Ojukwu is the very thing we LOVE in him. He first loved us passionately, and we'll forever love him for that. He represents the Igbo spirit and that is why a boy of 10 down east measures his 'Igboness' by how Ojukwu he is. Take it or leave it. Love him or hate him. Call him a hero or a coward. Insult him or praise him. You'll get what i mean if you fly this your mouth in the streets of UNN or UNIZIK or ESUT or FUTO among others. Those are our intellectual hubs back home and they love this man more than you can imagine. So stop wasting your time persuading any Igbo man to hate Ojukwu because you wont ever get that. That guy's approval rating in your domain may be 10%(that is from most Igbo inhabitants in your area) but his rating in the south east is like 99.5%. So, invest your time wisely and leave our 'cowardly' Ojukwu for us. We love him more than you can imagine and there is nothing you can do about that!!!
PoliticsRe: Prediction: Supreme Court Clears Soludo To Run For Anambra Governorship On Pdp. . . by FrankC3: 11:46am On Dec 16, 2009
Wow! How sympathetic!! For all the wonderful advice offered, i, being an Anambra citizen, have thus decided to make an effort to renew my voters card this christmass when i travel home, hold a thorough debate with my friends on the immediate and remote angles to who becomes Anambra Governor come next year, and if i still get thesame argument i am getting on this forum, i will be taking a trip down home to cast my vote for this guy Soludo come february. Only then will i have the moral authority to come here and make further anylysis.

You can call Soludo all the fraudster you want but please, let it be on record that nothing will happen even if PDP rigs the election in that guys favor. If i may tell you why, we know that Anambra people respect intellectual endowment and Soludo has not pretended about putting it at the fore front of his campaign profile. Again, If you understand what i mean, Soludo is also a catholic. All this is to suggest to you that Soludo will be accepted even though PDP is rejected. My opinion.
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Positions Lamido For Vice President by FrankC3: 4:14pm On Dec 04, 2009
OBJ? Positioning somebody? I prefer to believe he is actually setting the guy up to crack the northern establishment. That is if the report is true. He is definitely up to something different from what people think. The OBJ i know will sell you a dummy and give you a win situation only to take it back. I think he set up Yar'dua as a dummy to weaken the northern establishment and it is working. Putting a man whose only idea of projecting northern agenda is to appoint kano/katsina mafia and award contracts to the region. A sick man at that. He has always shown less than he has!
PoliticsRe: Thief Dr Soludo by FrankC3: 3:22pm On Dec 04, 2009
I think some people are not just comfortable with Soludo and the Ogbuluafor strategy toward 2015. The battle has just started, but let me ask all these people shouting wolf on what grounds are they calling him thief?
As for Sanusi, well, go ask Oceanic Bank(not Mrs Ibru) how much they'd lost since August 14 and see whether it is not more than Sanusi's 'oceanic NPL' plus the 'bail out fund' printed by your lovely Sanusi.  And again, since you are good in asking questions, maybe you will do well to ask Sanusi how much has spent on the short term on the London trip and how it has translated to fortunes for the 'reconfigured' banks. And maybe, you do not know, Sanusi may as well remind you that your stock has lost value(if you are a share holder of any of these banks) or that he will shoot Mrs Ibru or Akingbola at stake because they made wrong management decisions.  And now, this man is your hero, less than 8 months after taking office.

You can call Soludo names but remember that he did not not reply Chris Uba when he did same. You may wonder what he meant by that. He may as well not reply you until you come up with concrete issue.
PoliticsRe: See Soludo's Plans In Detail- Africa's Dubai Taiwan! I Am Soooo Excited! by FrankC3: 10:06am On Nov 24, 2009
Let me ask again. What has this guy said that he will do before that he has not been able to do? His antecedents shows that he has had a trail of ideas successfully implemented to the letter, unless you want me to neglect those.

But again, if i am to respond to my emotions, i will vote Obi (at least my community has three well tarred roads into it now courtesy of his leadership) but thinking strategy and long run, I WILL SOLIDLY STAND BEHIND THIS SOLUDO GUY.
PoliticsRe: Almajiri - 10 Million Kids Beg In The North. by FrankC3: 9:32am On Nov 24, 2009
But the lady is not saying that the number is increasing when compared to the number in the last ten years. She is just giving the estimated number as of now, and for those talking about time bomb, it has always been there. Those are boko haram recruits. They are the ones that always unleash terror on innocent Igbo traders.

Those guys are there to serve some strategic interest like the enforcements of the defined boundry for the infidels and such craps. It is actually strategic to the cabal interest in the north and that lady stand to lose her job for 'sabotaging' the elites.

Now, it is clear that democracy (how ever skewed or upright it is being practiced) will not favor the north at the long run. The indicators are every where and there is nothing they can do about it.

PoliticsRe: Anambra: Prepare Handover Note, Soludo Tells Obi. Jonathan, 7 Govs For Campaign. by FrankC3: 5:47pm On Nov 23, 2009
Talking about over confidence, is there a real measure and SI unit for confidence that will enable us to know exactly when confidence will be said to have been over? Actually, confidence is one of that guy's virtues and he has deployed it fearlessly, with some cold ruthlessness and has delivered massively. So, that guy has a record of getting things done. If he says he will do it, then i want to believe that he will!

PoliticsRe: 6,000mw Of Electricity Supply By Dec May Be Unrealistic - Minister Of Power by FrankC3: 12:19pm On Nov 23, 2009
YRD just lack the requisite capacity to pull anything through. First, who are the guys driving this process? What is their antecedents? What has Mr Babalola achieved before? YRD is not just a light weight but a serious mediocre who is more secure in the midst of fellow mediocre. I keep wondering the star of this regime? I cant see any Soludo, no Okonjo-Iweala, no Ezekwesili, no El-Rufai, no Ribadu, no intelligent, courageous person in a whole team. What is the problem here? No wonder we are sliding further downwards from pre 2007 times. In all spheres apart from corruption!
PoliticsRe: See Soludo's Plans In Detail- Africa's Dubai Taiwan! I Am Soooo Excited! by FrankC3: 11:54am On Nov 23, 2009
Well, i just believe this guy, whether i like PDP or not. After all, Atiku founded AC and we know his pedigree but Fashola is delivering on the same platform.

It is even easier to believe Soludo because there is nothing that he has offered to do that he has not done/achieved. That to me is integrity. Even the recent controversial statement that no Nigerian Bank will collapse as a result of the Global recession has proven true even after Sanusi tsunami. His record is clean and i do not see why i will not believe him again. I'm afraid i may actually travel home to vote for PDP if my vote will be useful. Gosh! I cant believe that i am thinking this way,
PoliticsRe: 6,000mw Of Electricity Supply By Dec May Be Unrealistic - Minister Of Power by FrankC3: 9:26am On Nov 23, 2009
It think it should be clearly noted that the promise was not an injection of fresh 6000mw into the national grid courtesy of Yar'adua administration but to generate some megawatts added to the existing one to make up 6000mw. Maybe, somebody can give us an insight on what the last regime handed over to these guys so that we can correctly appreciate their lack of capacity to deliver.
PoliticsRe: What Igbos Need Most. We Don't Need Biafra by FrankC3: 5:27pm On Nov 18, 2009
For those that can see clearly, Igbos are gradually recovering materially form the effects of the civil war. Check land ownership in Rivers/Abuja/Lagos to confirm this. Also check CBN and other national agencies poverty level indicators by zones. This is just 40 yrs after near annihilation. The side effect is what reflect as criminal vices(like drug trafficking etc). The second stage will take less that 10 yrs and that will likely include strategic security fortification. PDP will most likely conspire with history to deliver less that 10 yrs for this second stage. The final stage will be fervent Igboism which i think will most likely come with a good level of personal and group material comfort- telling our children where we are coming from. Some are faster and have attained this stage. Example of this you can see on NL like 'famous civil war quotes'. The fact remains that Nigeria is getting weaker. 1966 is not the same as 2009. This is a natural course of Igbos recovery but any unforeseen event like internal squabbles will most likely fast track the process. I think that we just need to keep the pace and establish a way to help people see the stage we are in. If Nigeria becomes better, Igbos are the best for it. If it becomes worse, Igbos are still better. Should it break up, that will ignite strong sentiment in Igbos and even further drive us to greater heights because they will feel for her new country what they never felt for Nigeria and divinize the Ojukwus of this world. Just projections anyway, may be wrong.
