I will ask him whether he really meant that G-20 meeting complaint ![]() |
I think the question should be what does Yar'Dua really want out of this whole thing? The unfortunate answer seem to be nothing. He is just confused. That is my worry. Had the revoke of the sale of NITEL been part of an elaborate plan to make the company more productive, then i would not mind. But i don't just understand. We have seen YRD revoke many OBJ policies and replace them with nothing; not even with worse policies. Look, i think that Obama already have an opinion about how this whole GM motors issue should end and whatever he is doing now is just providing leadership to the end he BELIEVED in. Ours is different. Our president is as confused on the way foward as you and i. I am so ashamed of this man, i remember i once believed he is the solution. Now, i think differently. Tomorrow, he'll start losing sleep over NEPA or complaining about Nigeria's non attendance of G-20 meeting. **Sighs!!!!*** |
This is what fills the space when there is no father at home! Let me ask again, is there really somebody at Aso Rock? A govt. with unpredictable economic agenda and operators in the midst of world economic crisis is not really a government. This is all we can get from PDP! |
I keep wondering whether this Ribadu issue is about being a fan or standing for common sense and logic. She is the EFCC chairman and has the structure in place to trace the money to wherever Ribadu might have hidden it. Ribadu would have done same in two weeks! |
Gutter journalism at its peak!!! |

Hi Folks, I was trying to find out whether the IXP in Lagos or elsewhere in Nigeria is still active. I seem not to find much meaningful information. Can someone help? |
Have they started calling for Lagos test center? I have not been called or do i just forget about it having not been called, |
I have tried searching the internet to find an NGO that address issues of Industrial and General Safety but i could not find one( but i believe that there is). Can someone help recommend one to me? A friend want to volunteer his services since his present job gives him some time to contribute to the society in this regard. |
@Affalatus Nike came to work in the morning, greeted Soludo by telling him that the author of NEEDS document asked her to extend her greetings and went home. Then the next day, Nike died and told came back as a ghost to tell you that she suspect Soludo of murder because she greeted him the previous day. I guess this is your story? Well, we all know that Soludo coordinated the synthesis of the NEEDS document, not solely draft it. Simple corporate policy will tell you that credit goes most times to Team Lead, not for doing the job themselves but for providing leadership. OBJ's reform is rooted in NEEDS document and that is why OBJ also takes credit for sound economic policy formulation(not implementation). If Yar'dua succeeds in electoral reform, i tell you that credit will not go to just the INEC chairman or staff or policce bu the man that provided the leadership and environment. If you know anything about team leadership, you'll know that commend and cajole your team to deliver and and insecure leader cannot do these. Tell me that Soludo is insecure that lets see how people will react to it. His conduct since this tenure extension issue will tell you how 'desperately insecure' the guy is! |

like the voice of the people i saw on television during Jos roit? |
The guy campaigned in Ekiti with that health condition. He dethroned Ribadu with that health condition using series of lies from sending him for training to prepare him for higher office to demotion, then to dismissal, he reversed economic policies that he does not understand only to re-reverse to them again when he could not offer better solution with that health condition, he oversee an INEC that could not conduct an election in 63 wards with 10,000 police men when the only thing he needed to do is not to conduct the election himself but to point to a direction, with that same health, he surrounds himself with discredited and thoroughly corrupt people of all times in the country with his eyes open. A sick man is presently trying to edge OBJ out of PDP BOT chairmanship to plant surrogates. C'mmon, i am not buying that lies again, that guy is full of tricks and is only fooling all of us. Do you need to be a weight lifter to know that Dora Akunyili cannot fit in to information ministry, or to bring the best minds around you to help fill out on the areas of your weaknesses. The guy does not just have good intentions. Period. |
I am just sick and tired of this reactive rather than an active government. Let them take an active decision and stop this politiking. Ribadu convicted people and none of them can claim that they are not corrupt, rather, they all claim that there are others(OBJ's friends) that are corrupt that are not convicted. If El-Rufai is corrupt or enriched himself illegally, then let them institute a case against him and even convict him with his lawyer making his defence. If he gets 10 years jail, then we will be talking about extraditing him to come and serve is terms, otherwise, i will continue to see this whole thing as the gimmicks of an incompetent government. |
, and our beloved Yar'dua is helping us apprehend them. Can we just take a step backwards, look towards the scene and try to interpret the political equation with more logic and less emotions? |
These guys really love this Soludo guy. I love him too. |
But a closer look at the 7-pointless agenda will tell you that the guy is just incompetent. The question is how do YRD intend to achieve them? No plans, no visions, no project phasing, no interconnection between yesterday's action and today's action, no clue on what to do. This government is all about policy reversal and counter-reversal. Strengthening the institutions of corruption and absenteeism in the areas that are germane for national development. |
@AjanleKoko Not even Lord Lugard himself will disagree with you! |
Finally, there is some space for more reason and less emotions on Nairaland!! |
what has happened to judgment based purely on facts and not merely emotional outbursts? My judgment is that OBJ is not perfect but compared to where we were coming from, he started off excellently but messed up in the areas of overshadowing personal interest, ambition and overbearing attitude. If you base your judgment on facts, then OBJ is as good as he is bad. I have Yar'dua's OBJ policy reversal and counter reversal to prove it. Policy-wise, OBJ has it. In terms of character, he is not the best. Coming to putting Yar'dua there, Chris Uba put Ngige in Anambra govt house and we know the result. Tinubu put Fashola in Lagos govt house and we know the result. If OBJ is really that bad, i challenge YRD to give us something to talk about and not just two years of policy reversal. Let him learn from Ngige and Fashola. Period! |
Yar'dua will end up worse that we think. He is not just intellectually capable of leading a local government in the south not to talk of Nigeria, i think that he is also very corrupt and wicked too. Tell me, any fool who has good intentions will never assign Akunyili her present portfolio. He will never back this type of AGF. He will never play the kind of role he is playing in Ekiti re-run campaign. The guy is just a serpent. Full of tricks and bad intentions. 25billion could be saved in two weeks from two ministries if at least Ribadu type of EFCC is restored in Abuja. He should stop deceiving himself and keep quite for the next two years, and go so that Nigeria can re-start her journey to reasonable nationhood! |
Man, it is called religious entrepreneurship. Give the people what they want in return for something and that is not theft. People need succor from a progressively merciless world and the guy provides it. Is that not the very principle of entrepreneurship? If i have the talent, i would have, |
I believe that we made a great choice in El-Rufai and Ribadu and they are not Igbos, they are reformers. Well, i will agree with you that there are more conservatives in the North but more progressives in the South. Progressives reform, conservatives reverse policies. Cf Yara'dua/OBJ |
I wonder when Iwuanyanwu became the President and Commander in Chief of South Eastern Nigeria. The same man that has demanded for infinite tenure for IBB, Abacha, OBJ and now Yara'dua. Also a PDP member and one of the champions of OBJ's third term agenda. Thats the man talking, my friend. Bigger shame on the writer of this sensational piece with much bigotry against a people. He writes more like a paid contractor! |
