kcosam:It's sad to have noticed that there were series of arguments and lots of uncomplimentary statements in the last few pages of the thread, which was far away from the purpose this reputable platform was originally created. Inquirer's should learn to appreciate the time, advices given to them by the honourable members of this forum and I implore the gurus to always learn to carry the new bies along with patience, joy and humility through the process while we progress to achieveing our goals for the betterment of ourselves and to this platform. The rate at which this Part 16 thread derails is very astonishing Keep being proactive and supportive. |
gatsbym4:You're covered! Make sure you establish strong proof of relationship with your sponsor (Aunt) by including birth certificates of your mom and aunt, international passport bio data page and a family tree.. I hope the progam you're going for shows a logical progression i.e a post graduate diploma or master's program. Success! |

Hadedee:Newbies do yourselves good by reading past threads before asking questions here. All the questions you guys are asking here have been answered countless times and constant repetitive questions can only be derailing the thread. I'll have to redirect you to my previous post LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR CANADA STUDY VISA APPLICATION |
OB411:I trust it will turn out in your favor. Keep the house posted should you receive the CAIPS file. Best of luck with your reapplication |
OLAMINREWA:You can't secure an admission into a master's degree program in Canada with a HND certification. Your best bet is to go for a post graduate diploma in a field that is directly related to your previous studies or your current job role. You can extend your search to Conestoga College, Ontario. |
nochyks87:Your mother can transfer the property as a Gift Deed after the demise of your father. Your LOE should state that; You have an asset in Nigeria which you must return to upon your graduation to continue managing, most notably a building which was gifted/transferred to you by your mother few years ago in 2009 (should be backdated), which you did not include in your initial application because you're being fully sponsored by your mother/brother/uncle (as the case maybe) and you assumed sponsorship covered the need for the applicant to disclose personal assets. You have therefore attached documents evidencing this property in Nigeria etc..... Please this is just a guide, add more reasonable points to the letter and make it look convincing. Please don't declare that it's your current residential building that was transferred to you when drafting this letter. Best of luck |
Obehi44:Make sure you work on your SOP/LOE and tackle the reasons stated on your GCMS note. |
PUSSYBOY2:The name of your moniker tho |
nannanie10:It's important it's issued from NPC, that's the authorized body in charge of issuing Attestation of Birth/birth certificates. |
Qudkom:A father has the right to transfer his property to any of his dependents. The deed can be backdated and explanation from the applicant should suffice that the said property has been gifted to him/her in consideration of the love and affection the father has for him/her. As you suggested that the applicant should claim they have been managing the property, which is also acceptable. Though in this case, a written letter from the family's solicitors should be submitted to support the claims that applicant has long been performing this duties and will not abscond to Canada after studies. |
OB411:Father should transfer the property and term it a * GIFT DEED* in consideration of the love and affection he has for you and that the gift is irrevocable and have no claim whatsoever on the said gifted property. This document must be certified, signed by witnesses from both parties and must bear an official signature, seal and address of the solicitor that prepared the deed. Please kindly a minute of your time to read through my previous post, you will find where I discussed HOW YOU CAN CONVINCE THE VISA OFFICER THAT YOU'RE A BONAFIDE APPLICANT with genuine intent to study and depart Canada after authorized visit. Best of luck |
Phatkings:You can specifically discuss about your goal of becoming an expert in your chosen field of study and re-emphasize that a PGD in global business management is the only pathway to achieve your set goals and a successful career in the lucrative field of business. You can also mention, that your previous degree in accounting didn't qualify you for a master's in business administration and a college post graduate diploma in Canada covers the limited curriculum you had at your undergraduate level. Go further by stating that a college PGD is more detailed and focused on vocational training and will provide you a solid foundation needed to further your Master's in business administration program in the near future. In all, a PGD in global business management is the only way to horn your skills and better yourself. Please this is just a guide, you can add more logical points to it and make the letter appear very persuasive as possible. Best of luck dude; |
TheAfrikan:check my previous post, you will find the list of possible QUESTIONS AND DOCUMENTS THAT MIGHT BE ASKED AT THE POINT OF ENTRY INTO CANADA |
Phatkings:I'll have to redirect you to my previous post LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR CANADA STUDY VISA APPLICATION |
kemmyk:Worry no more, many have acquired their visas without including an SOP/LOE with their application. You only include an SOP with your application on the basis that you've something very crucial to clarify to the visa officer. I don't think you not including one will jeopardize your chances of getting an approval. Brace up and hope for the best |
MUN19:Are you a fresh graduate? Not showing proof that you're gainfully employed in your home country is a red flag to your application. Did you show evidence as to whether you're into a volunteer job or some kind of training in preparation for your studies abroad. It's important you order your CAIPS file so as to have a clearer insight about your visa refusal. |
heggegg:Follow this STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE to LINK YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE |
Phatkings:As per the bolded, your sponsor is gainfully and should present the following documents with your application; 1. Letter of Sponsorship 2. Affidavit of Sponsorship 3. Copy of Sponsor’s Letter of Employment 4. Pay slips for the past 4 months. 5. Copy of Sponsor’s Employee ID card 6. Copy of Sponsor's international passport 7. Statement of Account from Sponsor’s salary account. 8. Copy of Sponsor’s landed property 9. Copy of Approval and Survey Plan of Sponsor’s landed property 10. Shares or Investment account (Like T/bills) (if any) 11. Promotion letters 12. Salary increment letter etc.. |
Phatkings:The SOP must be coherent, concise, and all ideas should be supported with relevant details. Paragraphing must be used well and should reflect the following points: Paragraph 1 : Describe your academic background briefly. Paragraph 2 : The program of choice. Paragraph 3 : Why the school in Canada. Paragraph 4 : Why you choose Canada not Nigeria Paragraph 5 : Financial support, how you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working. Paragraph 6 : Future goals and prospects, What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you and translated to your home country in the near future. Paragraph 7 : Home ties, what can compel your departure after authorized visit to Canada. You should also explain why you're going for a PGD instead of a master's considering you graduated with a second class upper division (2.1) which makes you eligible for a master's program. |
AyoPrudence:It doesn't need to be notarized so long as it already bears an official signature and stamp from the issuing body. |
Phatkings:Your elder brother can certainly be a sponsor to your study visa/Permit application. He needs to present documents to evidence his source of income e.g Self-employed ----- CAC certificate and other business related documents. Assuming he is gainfully employed he would tender his employment letters, payslips, promotion letters, salary increment letter (if any), work ID etc.. His birth certificate and yours should be submitted with your application to show proof of relationship. |
xcaper:I would prefer you make use of a sponsor in Nigeria (uncle). Over my two years and above experience in the Canada study visa I have come across countless applicants who have gotten their visas with third party sponsorship (uncle, aunt, father-in-law, fiance etc..) Whilst, I can only point out three (3) applicants who were successful with a prodigy loan in Canada. If you plan using a loan within Canada, you must show that you/family are capable and well off in Nigeria to pay off the loan upon your return to Nigeria i.e you will need a strong financial source of income that will offset the cost and investment of the loan in Nigeria. |
Kishkosh:... I strongly doubt if the 5 years ban can be averted at this point in time after applicant has been served a procedural fairness letter to explain himself prior the issuance of the ban...He might be lucky enough to win the case, only on the account that applicant used a compensated agent and the agent filled the representative form along with his application. For this reason, he will have to hire an experienced Immigration attorney that will file for a judicial review at the High Court of Canada and plea that the applicant's case should be reopened for reconsideration. Aside from the fact that he used an agent, I see no hope of him over turning the ban. Bear in mind that this process is cumbersome, requires your time and large sum of money. An experienced immigration attorney will charge 4000$CAD to write a letter for a case to be taken to the federal level and there is no guarantees whatsoever that the applicant will be successful at the end of everything. I have an experienced immigration attorney in Canada, I can give the applicant the contact of the attorney so he can try and see what follows next. |
MUN19:I regret to hear your study visa/permit was refused. Pardon me to say that from my point of view, your application wasn't well packaged and prepared. The generic reason highlighted by the visa officer Personal Assets and financial status wasn't the factual reason behind your refusal. However I see the reasons coming from your sponsor and your purpose of visit. First and foremost before I proceed in proffering solution to your refusal, permit me to ask you some questions which include the following; 1-)You said your uncle was your sponsor, how did you establish the proof of relationship b/w both of you? 2-) What evidence did you show as proof of history or ongoing financial support from him? 3-) What was his reasons for sponsoring you abroad considering that local options would be cheaper for him being that he is a third party? 4-) What have you done to deserve such benefit from him ? 5-) Was he (uncle) able to certify the visa officer that you would never pose to be a burden to his immediate family, personal welfare and business during the course of your studies in Canada? 6-) What does your uncle stand to gain as a result of this sponsorship? 7-) Since uncle is using a cooperate/business account as prime proof of financial support did uncle include a dully signed board resolution letter which would state that they are aware of this sponsorship and approves it? 8-) Was there any assurance from uncle that funds will be made available during subsequent years of study without working and no recourse to public funds? 9-) Did you at any given time in your application, include a family tree which will substantively show how your uncle and parents are related and how the relationship was linked to your immediate generation?. I ask all of those questions because I noticed you submitted an empty application that gave the visa officer the impression that your sponsor (uncle) is not a genuine one that will finance your stay in Canada and that you will not have full access to funds presented in your application. Thus, the visa officer didn't look side ways before refusing your application. Provide answers to the aforementioned questions, do the needful and you will be fine in your next reapplication. Success! |
Oladimejii:This simply shows how inefficient the Nairobi immigration officers are in handling applications. Why will a visa officer return a passport without including a reason for the denial... In this recent time, I have noticed that it has gradually become their modus operandi as there so many applicants who are still waiting for a decision to be communicated to them after receiving the biometrics validity letter. I, therefore, recommend that you keep on sending a CSE to the Nairobi immigration office until you get a feedback with your refusal letter. You took a good step by ordering your GCMS note, this will also help you find the hidden reasons behind your refusal. |
ghabrhiel10:Send a CSE to the Kenya and Lagos Immigration office. |
Tnablack:Our elder sister we received your greetings. It's nice to have you back. |
oluwaisgreat:A good fit for you is University Of Saskatchewan |
Ancy12:Thanks for sharing this information. I'll check it's achievability. Afterwards, I'll extend it to applicants who are in dire need of this help. |
