There need to be a change of direction and a heart of tolerance. We are already in page 31 and more than half of it is filled with avoidable arguments that someone could simply ignore or let it slide for peace sake. Pls let the gurus show some level of maturity so we can all learn better in a peaceful environment.
It's sad to have noticed that there were series of arguments and lots of uncomplimentary statements in the last few pages of the thread, which was far away from the purpose this reputable platform was originally created. Inquirer's should learn to appreciate the time, advices given to them by the honourable members of this forum and I implore the gurus to always learn to carry the new bies along with patience, joy and humility through the process while we progress to achieveing our goals for the betterment of ourselves and to this platform.

Justwise, It's very important you take drastic measures to eradicate irrelevant topics and post pasted on this thread as the forum is fast derailing with superfluous moral principles.

@Frankrobbn1...I know you have partly answered my questions in the last thread,but I will like to know,if paying tuition has any effect on study permit application?Does it makes any sense if you choose not to pay tuition but have the money in your bank account?Can I use a co-sponsor in my application,my sibling and also a cousin with business account?Is there any express application for study permit?...Thanks in advance for your response.I will be waiting on your swift response,because it will propel, if I need to apply or defer admission.
95seun:
Paying school fees has no effect on granting of TRV. There’s more to the TRV application than paying of fees. However, you need to satisfy the VO that you can afford both fees, upkeep and any other miscellaneous expenses for a year.
Options available to you include but are not limited to paying of fees but be knowledgeable on the schools refund policy, or having the funds in your account / sponsors account.
You can use a sponsor, co sponsor .. answer to this has already been hashed and rehashed on previous threads.
And nope there’s no express application option for TRV applications made by Nigerians.
Sorry for the late reply.... I hope 95seun's response answered your questions.

Thanks again @Frankrobbn1, I am opting for the deed which would be back dated. I am just trying to avoid any document that would take to long to be processed and think the deed is a pretty straight forward one.

@Qudkom I am not the only child deserving of my fathers property as you rightly mentioned, he has properties in other states which my other sisters got. It was a verbal pronouncement though and I am just trying to get a document as I forsee it making my application pull through. Thanks also for your response I appreciate your contribution.

Like I earlier mentioned, I hurried my application as a result of a deadline from my school i was trying to meet, which is the reason I omitted that vital information.

However, I have to wait for the gcms notes to seek further advice, for now let me get that document (deed) ready.

Cheers!
I trust it will turn out in your favor. Keep the house posted should you receive the CAIPS file. Best of luck with your reapplication

Hi all. I'm a loyal follower here. I quickly want to confirm if it is possible today secure admission for masters in Canada with HND (Distinction in Comp science). I ve searched through some schools without success. If anyone knows any school of such, kindly recommend. Thanks
You can't secure an admission into a master's degree program in Canada with a HND certification. Your best bet is to go for a post graduate diploma in a field that is directly related to your previous studies or your current job role. You can extend your search to Conestoga College, Ontario.

On this issue of gift deed, in a setting whereby the applicant has been residing at the property and the dad died before even transferring the property to him. And the dad's wish was to have his son inherit the property. Can the mother of the person transfer the property to the son via gift deed after a refusal on personal assets and financial status? This is in reference to my case. Note: the property was not included in the first application that was refused.
Your mother can transfer the property as a Gift Deed after the demise of your father. Your LOE should state that;

You have an asset in Nigeria which you must return to upon your graduation to continue managing, most notably a building which was gifted/transferred to you by your mother few years ago in 2009 (should be backdated), which you did not include in your initial application because you're being fully sponsored by your mother/brother/uncle (as the case maybe) and you assumed sponsorship covered the need for the applicant to disclose personal assets. You have therefore attached documents evidencing this property in Nigeria etc.....

Please this is just a guide, add more reasonable points to the letter and make it look convincing. Please don't declare that it's your current residential building that was transferred to you when drafting this letter.

Best of luck

Make sure you work on your SOP/LOE and tackle the reasons stated on your GCMS note.

Hi, nothing can be advised yet. Unless you get the gcms note.

However, why would your father choose to transfer the property to you?? Why didn't he do it before the 1st application? Are you the only child that deserves something from him?

There are other ways to show ties. You csn always claim the building is an extension of his business operations and you manage thay branch etc....
A father has the right to transfer his property to any of his dependents. The deed can be backdated and explanation from the applicant should suffice that the said property has been gifted to him/her in consideration of the love and affection the father has for him/her.

As you suggested that the applicant should claim they have been managing the property, which is also acceptable. Though in this case, a written letter from the family's solicitors should be submitted to support the claims that applicant has long been performing this duties and will not abscond to Canada after studies.

Hello house greetings to all.

Big ups to all the kind hearted peeps helping to increase the success story.

I need advise on how I can tie my dad's property to me as per home tie to Nigeria. It's a 5bedroom duplex with BQ serving as a rental property.

What document(s) do I have to add to the existing house document to make a strong case.

I was thinking transfer of ownership, then I was thinking maybe I should just say I manage the property for him as his only son.

Let me add I got rejected on the grounds of purpose of visit, home ties to Canada and country of residence and travel history. Looking back my sop was weak seeing all the information out here.

I have already put in for the gcms notes and expecting it by 14th, just preparing the needed document to tackle reason for rejection, which is why I have asked.

Also I have put together a detailed LOE which I will edit guided by the gcms note when it arrives and won't mind if the guru's here can help look at what I have already put together.

@frankrobbn1 @makana @Qudkom anyone available ?

All suggestions welcome.

For those helping out, may God bless you.

Cheers!
Father should transfer the property and term it a * GIFT DEED* in consideration of the love and affection he has for you and that the gift is irrevocable and have no claim whatsoever on the said gifted property. This document must be certified, signed by witnesses from both parties and must bear an official signature, seal and address of the solicitor that prepared the deed.

Please kindly a minute of your time to read through my previous post, you will find where I discussed HOW YOU CAN CONVINCE THE VISA OFFICER THAT YOU'RE A BONAFIDE APPLICANT with genuine intent to study and depart Canada after authorized visit.

Best of luck

Can I state I am a director in the New company cos on the company papers my name is one of the directors
How will I go about the explanation of a pgd not a masters cos I wasn't able to secure one due too low cgpa
You can specifically discuss about your goal of becoming an expert in your chosen field of study and re-emphasize that a PGD in global business management is the only pathway to achieve your set goals and a successful career in the lucrative field of business. You can also mention, that your previous degree in accounting didn't qualify you for a master's in business administration and a college post graduate diploma in Canada covers the limited curriculum you had at your undergraduate level. Go further by stating that a college PGD is more detailed and focused on vocational training and will provide you a solid foundation needed to further your Master's in business administration program in the near future. In all, a PGD in global business management is the only way to horn your skills and better yourself.

Please this is just a guide, you can add more logical points to it and make the letter appear very persuasive as possible.

Best of luck dude;

Worry no more, many have acquired their visas without including an SOP/LOE with their application. You only include an SOP with your application on the basis that you've something very crucial to clarify to the visa officer. I don't think you not including one will jeopardize your chances of getting an approval. Brace up and hope for the best

Are you a fresh graduate? Not showing proof that you're gainfully employed in your home country is a red flag to your application. Did you show evidence as to whether you're into a volunteer job or some kind of training in preparation for your studies abroad. It's important you order your CAIPS file so as to have a clearer insight about your visa refusal.

I want to know how will the sop be tailored I couldn't secure a masters admission but I was able to get a pgd in global business management. I studied accounting in my first with a borderline second class upper. Thank you
The SOP must be coherent, concise, and all ideas should be supported with relevant details. Paragraphing must be used well and should reflect the following points:

Paragraph 1 : Describe your academic background briefly.
Paragraph 2 : The program of choice.
Paragraph 3 : Why the school in Canada.
Paragraph 4 : Why you choose Canada not Nigeria
Paragraph 5 : Financial support, how you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working.
Paragraph 6 : Future goals and prospects, What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you and translated to your home country in the near future.
Paragraph 7 : Home ties, what can compel your departure after authorized visit to Canada.

You should also explain why you're going for a PGD instead of a master's considering you graduated with a second class upper division (2.1) which makes you eligible for a master's program.

Your elder brother can certainly be a sponsor to your study visa/Permit application. He needs to present documents to evidence his source of income e.g Self-employed ----- CAC certificate and other business related documents. Assuming he is gainfully employed he would tender his employment letters, payslips, promotion letters, salary increment letter (if any), work ID etc.. His birth certificate and yours should be submitted with your application to show proof of relationship.

@Frankrobbn1, is it safer to get a student loan from the likes of prodigy or empower to use as sponsor instead of quoting uncle which one need to go to a very large extent to proof. I think using all this loan company it will safe one the headache of proof. Correct me if my assertion is wrong Sir.
I would prefer you make use of a sponsor in Nigeria (uncle). Over my two years and above experience in the Canada study visa I have come across countless applicants who have gotten their visas with third party sponsorship (uncle, aunt, father-in-law, fiance etc..) Whilst, I can only point out three (3) applicants who were successful with a prodigy loan in Canada. If you plan using a loan within Canada, you must show that you/family are capable and well off in Nigeria to pay off the loan upon your return to Nigeria i.e you will need a strong financial source of income that will offset the cost and investment of the loan in Nigeria.

Guys , pls, a friend of mine contacted some agents to apply for his permit and during the process . The agents never asked him if he's been refused visa for any country b4 and it appears the agents filled No for that part in the IMMM form . Whereas, dude has been refused USA visa b4.
So, he said the embassy sent a mail that he should respond to the allegation of "withholding vital info .....blah blah blah " within 7 days and the agents still told him they will sort it out that he shouldn't bother .
What I don't know is weda or not the agent lodged the application in a representative capacity .

At the end of the day , my guy was banned for 5 years .
Pls, what's the way forward as sin of agents is being visited on innocent applicant .

Bracha, frankrobbn1, makano (my man ) qudcom @mcobex and other gurus on this forum
... I strongly doubt if the 5 years ban can be averted at this point in time after applicant has been served a procedural fairness letter to explain himself prior the issuance of the ban...He might be lucky enough to win the case, only on the account that applicant used a compensated agent and the agent filled the representative form along with his application. For this reason, he will have to hire an experienced Immigration attorney that will file for a judicial review at the High Court of Canada and plea that the applicant's case should be reopened for reconsideration. Aside from the fact that he used an agent, I see no hope of him over turning the ban. Bear in mind that this process is cumbersome, requires your time and large sum of money. An experienced immigration attorney will charge 4000$CAD to write a letter for a case to be taken to the federal level and there is no guarantees whatsoever that the applicant will be successful at the end of everything.

I have an experienced immigration attorney in Canada, I can give the applicant the contact of the attorney so he can try and see what follows next.

Good day house,

I applied on Feb. 22, 2019 and was refused my study permit on the 17th of May 2019.

I used an agent and did an online application. My sponsor is my uncle because I’ve lost my both parents, My sponsor tendered a BS of 10.5million. I have paid 2000CAD towards my 1st term before applying.

He’s a businessman. Money comes in and goes out every time.

REASON: • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. ONLY

I had to defer my admission till Sep 2019. I have received another admission letter from school, so now I want to reapply.

Docs. Submitted

* 3 IMM forms
* NYSC discharge certificate 2018
* I.T discharge certificate 2016
* Payment towards 1st term receipt from Memorial University
* University Certificate 2017
* Birth Certificate
* Aceptance Letter from Memorial University
* Passport Data page
* Admission Letter from Memorial University
* my uncles company and allied matters
* Certificate of Incorporation
* Survey Plan
* Deed of Ownership
* SOP
* Letter of sponsorship

PLEASE FRIENDS HELP ME I NEED TO REAPPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, WHAT CAN I DO?

also, is paper application best and faster or online?

THANKS
I regret to hear your study visa/permit was refused. Pardon me to say that from my point of view, your application wasn't well packaged and prepared. The generic reason highlighted by the visa officer Personal Assets and financial status wasn't the factual reason behind your refusal. However I see the reasons coming from your sponsor and your purpose of visit.

First and foremost before I proceed in proffering solution to your refusal, permit me to ask you some questions which include the following;

1-)You said your uncle was your sponsor, how did you establish the proof of relationship b/w both of you?

2-) What evidence did you show as proof of history or ongoing financial support from him?

3-) What was his reasons for sponsoring you abroad considering that local options would be cheaper for him being that he is a third party?

4-) What have you done to deserve such benefit from him ?

5-) Was he (uncle) able to certify the visa officer that you would never pose to be a burden to his immediate family, personal welfare and business during the course of your studies in Canada?

6-) What does your uncle stand to gain as a result of this sponsorship?

7-) Since uncle is using a cooperate/business account as prime proof of financial support did uncle include a dully signed board resolution letter which would state that they are aware of this sponsorship and approves it?

8-) Was there any assurance from uncle that funds will be made available during subsequent years of study without working and no recourse to public funds?

9-) Did you at any given time in your application, include a family tree which will substantively show how your uncle and parents are related and how the relationship was linked to your immediate generation?.

I ask all of those questions because I noticed you submitted an empty application that gave the visa officer the impression that your sponsor (uncle) is not a genuine one that will finance your stay in Canada and that you will not have full access to funds presented in your application. Thus, the visa officer didn't look side ways before refusing your application.

Provide answers to the aforementioned questions, do the needful and you will be fine in your next reapplication. Success!

Hey Guys,

I applied on the 12th of April via paper. On the 21st of May, I received a correspondence letter. On the 22nd, I received a message from VFS that my processed passport was ready for pick up.

I went over to VFS the next day, got my package and received only my passport. No refusal letter. My online account is on eligibility review.

I have been sending an e mail to Nairobi but no response yet. I have ordered for GCMS.

What to do next?
This simply shows how inefficient the Nairobi immigration officers are in handling applications. Why will a visa officer return a passport without including a reason for the denial... In this recent time, I have noticed that it has gradually become their modus operandi as there so many applicants who are still waiting for a decision to be communicated to them after receiving the biometrics validity letter. I, therefore, recommend that you keep on sending a CSE to the Nairobi immigration office until you get a feedback with your refusal letter. You took a good step by ordering your GCMS note, this will also help you find the hidden reasons behind your refusal.
