You should have had a clear picture/plan of where you were heading before selling the land. What you did is akin to putting the cart before the horse. That said, the land is already sold so no need to sulk again. Pick yourself today and do something. Shyness helps nobody just toughen up and commence the food business If you have the knowhow. If you don't, just keep the money and try to get a little knowledge of it or another biz you may wish to do before you commence. |
Dum20:The you guys are: Dums, Tranquility2345, Ositadinma1, Nice2023, Acidosis. I actually cannot imagine having a conversation with some that can only call out bad if it's done by other people but can not call out if it's done by their kinsmen. Bad is bad. I will continue to repeat that for this particular bout, he was called out by Tranquility2345. Instead of you guys to tell him to shun him and let's protect this current peace we have here. You kept quiet and when he attacked back some of you start calling the MOD telling me I supporting a bigot. If part of those you support are not bigots too, why didn't you call only him out when you made the post below? Dum20:Your mind dey tell you say be some form of Rambo or Commando wey I no go fit talk to directly abi. You are joker. You will want to label everyone trying to intervene as a supporter of Ahib because everyone should queue behind you guys even when wrong. I chose neither to keep quiet or queue this time. No amount of name call, will keep me quiet. If you don't like the situation, next time, tell your kinsman to let the sleeping dog lie. |
Dum20:The shameful aspect should be for you and all others that will gather on this thread to look for trouble and later start forming victim. That's something to be ashamed about. Earlier when all these started, I have berated him and even reported many of those posts here to the MODS without even informing the house that I was going to do it because they were derailing. If the MODs could, they'll testify. However, I discovered that most times you guy would team up and call him. I have highlighted where he called him out but you could choose to be selective. So, I am not justifying anything. It's just that you guys wouldn't let sleeping dog lie and at the same time can stomach what he will spill out at the end. Yes, it's a platform where we can disagree to agree but why will you insult me in the first place. You of all people should know that "A mouth doesn't go to another month and comes back empty handed". Thus, when you decide to give, you should be expecting to receive in return. |
Oyeleye101:This one na had work ooo. You can just mail the bank/financial house you used for it and maybe CSCS too about it. |
Educationalserv:This was his first of this episode of the Saga. A reply to my message Just asking for treasury Bill calender. Tranquility2345:Above was your response. Tranquility2345:Of course I was referring to you. Wetin your own mouth come be like, Pig? Small thing, you will call him out. Once he comes out you will start crying like a baby looking the MOD that will ban him for you. If you are brave enough why not stand for yourself? Why calling the MOD. If it's to talk anyhow to people that don't want problems, you are number 1. Come and face your mate na, no.. you will start crying and calling MODS. |
Akerewe:So far, SUKUK has been auctioned once yearly since it's inception in Nigeria in 2017. The auction for 2023 was in Oct 2023. So, I don't think there would be any auction this year again. I seldom use Fintech except Opay. I have not done tried investing there but from feelers, their interests is not extra ordinarily great. |
You will fire the first salvo and once the heat is on, you won't be able to take it and start forming victim. You will insult anyone that tries to caution you against and start calling the MOD. I think it's 2 of you that should be banned. |
Oracabessa:Here is not an electrician or cable connector workshop but knowledgeable/experienced people here can give heads up that will save you some costs. |
AmazingELixir:It's because of the hairstyle. |
Tohmey:Yes, because that rate is per annum which is 364/365 days. |
Christianoir:Breaking you down for what na? Are you in your in Medicine or final year second semester?. If yes, you will either change department or spill which is not the end of life. However, if your situation is none of the above, just buckle up next semester and avoid any subsequent one. That's all. |
Ibrahim505:This is very bad of them. They should have contacted you earlier. If you are interested in the Savings Bond, you can continue. However, if you are not, you can just pull your funds from them immediately and invest elsewhere. FG Bond is auction is next week Monday. If you act fast enough you will be able to partake in it if interested. Just contact any of the banks listed on the form for further information. |
Educationalserv:I don't have the calender. The previous calender ended with the last auction. I found out from my bank that there will be an auction this week. Apparently there is a new calendar not yet released. |
drealj:Yes, there is an auction this week. If you intend to invest it, just do it now. Anything later than now the week is gone. |
Labadi69:Yes, it's risky. That's why investors need to do his/her due diligence and as necessary questions where need be. That said, there are know brands with very high ratings that would not want to default in their obligations because it will affect their brand image. It's okay to go for. Also, investment generally is a risk. That's why you get return on it. It's just to choose the one you can chest. |
shizzy7:You will not see CP's that way. You will only be contacted if you indicate interest If you want to invest in CP's you just contact Greenwich Merchant Bank Limited (bolaji.adeoti@greenwhichbankgroup.com) is a good guy who can put you through, FBNQUEST Merchant Bank, Coronation Merchant Bank, United Capital, Afrinvest e.t.c. There are some I dint mention here. Just contact them and you be getting details when available. Some presently ongoing are: 1. MIXTA REAL ESTATE is handled by Coronation, United Capital, FBNQUEST and ARM etc. 2. SKLD is handled by Coronation and Afrinvest. 3. JOHNVENTS INDUSTRIES LIMITED is handled by handled by Greenwich, Coronation, Cordros, Unity Capital, AVA etc. 4. MERCURE INDUSTRIES PLC is handled by: Cordros, Greenwich, United Capital, FSDH and Cardinal Stone. Once you contact them, they will send you reports and ratings of which ever company's CP you decide to invest. Please, you are to do you own due diligence before investing.
|
I think it's about 18 years or so.. |
Chikebrain:Yes FBNQUEST Merchant Bank do help issuers to arrange CP's for intending investors. It doesn't seem common because you will have to at least indicated interest once or in a way have subscribed to their newsletter with your email add or phone number for you to be getting the information from them. If not, ordinarily you won't get the info except from other sources like Nairaland and co. |
enque:That's good, Afrinvest also does that but they will bill you from all angles possible, they will charge you for the transaction even after the issuer have settled them. Then tell you that the investment is sublet to them because they are stockbrokers and not merchant bank so they have to bill to get their own. Thus, I prefer merchant banks like FBNQUEST, Coronation and the likes. Coronation usually don't do any other deductions apart from the principal because they are most times either the lead arranger or one of the arrangers and the cost is borne by the issuer from their end. However, on this tax thing, they do not stipulate it on the proof, and when you ask they'll refer you to their mail/advert where it's stated that ' Applicable taxes shall apply except where otherwise exempt'. How I want take the follow up on exempt and none exempted again? Infact there have been an instance that they have to come me to send them my TIN just when it was close to maturity. That is the only thing I don't fancy about them. |
te author=emmasoft post=127219471] The same applies for CP. Check this article on nairametrics Commercial papers in Nigeria in 2023: 6 key things to note
Thanks, I've seen it. RayRay06677:https://nairametrics.com/2023/11/11/commercial-papers-in-nigeria-in-2023-6-key-things-to-note/ |
emmasoft:Wow..!! Thanks so much for the info at least I now know why. The holiday, was it for TB alone or it included CP because I am being tax for CPs too. The most annoying part is that they will not include it in proof of investment. I actually wanted to write CP up therebbut carried away with what I was doing? |
Meerahbel:I thought as much. I just discovered that except you have a direct contact of staff with them, this that used to easily done at the counter is now very difficult. |
Ibrahim505:DMO just issue general notice not individual or to retail investors. It's Morgan that should have informed you but they don't normally notify investors until you contact them. So do well to enquire from them tomorrow. That said, as a retail investor, I believe subscription was successful if not your money would have been returned to your account. |
DigitalMallam:He is not looking to make a new investment, he talking about the already subscribed SUKUK VI. There are other CP's with higher rates; like SKDL and Robust international with coronation. My issues with TB is the sudden 10% WHT they are deducting from accrued interest these days. |
keeper303:Contact the financial institution/house through which you subscribed for full details. Though it was oversubscribed, I think they accommodated all the retail investors. This, it means it was successful. I don't know why they have stopped informing subscribers about the success or not of their subscription. When I subscribed SUKUK IV with Greenwich, I was not informed whether the auction was successful or not but when I sent them a mail, they replied with a proof of investment. However, for Sukuk VI, it's either Stanbic through which I subscribed does not seem to care these days or Gen Zs have taken over the establishment. If not why wouldn't they notify me of the status of the investment? And even after the a week that I contacted them, they just casually told me it was book and that's the end. |
abraolas1:If you want to bid by yourself it's N50M but if you want to follow the banks bid, it's depend on the bank. Some na from N100k and above, some na from N500k and above while others na from N1M and above. |
khachi:Just contact Stanbic IBTC to know if their bid was successful. They can delay in deducting money sometimes even if successful. |
davit:Very true. Services that were readily available before are no longer seen there. ojesymsym:If someone get access to your phone and he is able to get your bank app password/PIN, the least thing you should be worried about is your NIN and BVN saved there because those are just common information that could be gotten elsewhere. Infact except maybe for identity theft, those information as no that significant to other people as we take them. |
Amaru04:😂😂😂😂😂 Na wa ooo. So you just have to reappear on this thread for this purpose. No need for all these. Who really needs it and want to pay will pay based on his or her need. No need to create any false sense of desire/eagerness to get whatever. |
gift01:After doing it, you will not be able to use it immediately. So it's not instant. |
The latest GT App is Gtworld and it's on playstore. They have been trying to phase out the GTCo app for a while, I guess it's finally done. On Gtworld app if you increase limit, the maximum used to be 5M before the latest update. I don't even know if you can increase limit on your own now again because that option seem to invisible on the app after the update. You can try installing the Gtworld app and see if you will be able to use it. Stanbic used to be the hardest of all of them. You can not do any big transaction except you have increased your limit. Increasing limit will require you to sign an undertaking letter with a witness before approval in the banking hall before they introduced their holdco all encompassing Stanbic IBTC app. However, I think there is an option to do it on the app now. |
Cooolme:First of all, are you sure she is okay health-wise ( Both physically and mentally) and all other wise? Do you have any other ways of checking on her or her activities to see if she has actually been active and well? If yes did you use those channels? If the questions above are yes, then talk to your mum to be sure if she hasn't done anything that made her want to abandon everyone. If pray she tells you if there anything like that. Finally, if you are tired of not being responded, you can just pause the communication but do not close the channels or links for her to reach you. |
