Chikebrain:It's dicey somehow. The things to consider are; No 1. is that you have collected interest upfront when you invested. However, if it's just that, plus and minus will settle it. No 2. Is that rates have gone higher than what you invested. If the bank is to retail OTC, nobody would want to invest at that low rate now knowing that there are better offer available. So if the rate it is to be resold is considered, you will loose money. You didn't mention the rate you got it and rate they are to resale it but that's how it will be. E.g if you got it at 13% about 2 months ago and the prevailing market rate now is about 15-16%. You will definitely loose money. Going by the 2 reasons above and the possibility that the money might be big, Liquidating now might cost that much. So it's left for you to decide whether to endure the loss or let the investment run its course. |
enque:Ok, I didn't see the secondary market part ooo. It's usually credited after settlement, and might be longer. |
debbydee:No issues the money has been taken into custody. If successful next week, your interest will be paid back to the account and your principal will be refunded at maturity. However, if unsuccessful, the whole amount will be refunded to your account afterwards. So nothing to worry about. |
The description fits multiverse ooo. |
Kennitrust:Ok. While you it's glaring from your explanation that there is serious family support that aided the business to its present level, there don't seem to be anywhere it said that the financial/all other supports were loans to be repaid with interest or were investments as shareholders in the company. What would have happened if the business was not successful? Like you guys contributed all the money he used, the family land as collateral to get money and the family borehole but at the end he didn't tend to the business and it died. I guess no one would have laid claims to anything. Thus, there is actually no legal claim to his profit. The best that can happen is would be maybe would have been to collect the family property from. That said, he has to be considerate from his own end too as his business would not have picked without the family contributions. He should consider the sacrifice you guys made for his business. Ordinarily, as Africans, he should be able to tend to his siblings even if they didn't contribute and he has the means. Also he shouldn't have left the family property to decay. Knowing fully well that he been the major benefactor of it. You will have to consider the above and also consider the fact that he used his time and energy to nurture the business to success. The business succeeded before he was dedicated and true to it. |
Kennitrust:I don't understand ooo. This your statement is not too clear. What was the basis of your contribution to the business? Is that he asked you to contribute and promised to make you guys share holders or that he asked you guys to dash him money for his business as a family? |
genius43:I suspected that. That's why I included it. I switched to Airtel and it's been relatively better. SILENTandSMART2:😂😂😂😂 I actually sent this message from the 'townmost' part of Abuja. Among the very few locations where their 5G has been functional and operated very smoothly. |
The heading should have been Friesland Campina WAMCO repackaged mini peak and three crowns liquid milk packed like Hollandia Milk. |
genius43:Perceptions work for people as perceived most times. The Xiaomi phones I have used/using are Redmi Note 4 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro and now Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. I did not at anytime experience any sort of hanging within the 1st year of using the 1st two I listed even when they had upto a period when I had stuff in more than half of the storage. However, with this present phone of barely 4 months, I have experience it like about 4 to 5 times even when I have not used upto 70 GB out of the 258 GB. I have to go for it because there was no Snapdragon Variant too. The charger which was what actually impressed me has been misbehaving since yesterday, I am now relying on my forgotten Note 9 Pro charger which I dumped after over 2 years of usage because the was stolen and the 5G ( Don't know if it's MTN ooo or na the again) has been terrible these few days. I will admit that it was very good at first but now with more than 20 GB Data and 5G logo I am struggling to watch videos online. |
@jwens noobody:In Fact he would not miss out on anything. I got one of the Note 12 Pro Plus 5G and started using it August. Though I am not a picture freak but that 200MP Camera is not that great. The major thing that made me went for the phone was the fast charger which I fancied up until this morning that the charger started acting up without any provocation. I just plugged it in the morning and discovered that it will start charging as usual; raise from Normal charge to quick charge and then to 120W charge but instead of continuing that way, it will stop charging immediately later start again and stop. Not as if any happened, the charger didn't fall, the light and everything was normal. I tried to use my previous Note 9 Pro charger for it and it was acting same. So I Switched off and later on but nothing changed. I later tested it with power bank and it was charging normal. I connected the Note 9Pro charger again it was charging fine then I connected that 120 Watts Charger it started misbehaving again so I had to plug the Power Bank to stabilise and then I am now using the Note 9Pro charge for it. The difference in price is too much to sacrifice for the two things. |
ositadima1:This CP is for Dangote Cement. The price you are quoting is for sugar. |
narite:Ok, please modify this last message and remove the details of the agent there. Thank You |
narite:It was sent to me by Coronation Merchant Bank. You can Google them mail them directly or |
Dangote Cement plc
|
David160:This actually seems like a form of demarketing to a particular candidate but then, the election results will speak for itself. |
amordi:You can speak with the agents of the arrangers on your areas of doubt. If the mail was sent to you directly, you will see their annual reports. The ratings, firms that rated them that way and explanation why. You also Google the companies to see their track records. Some of those CP are now between their series 10 - 15. How have the fared so far. Have they been able to keep up with their obligations..? Contacting the arrangers will let you know what they (arranger) have put inplace to ensure the CPs doesn't fail in their obligations. At the end, it's all risk taking. That's why due diligence is essential. I only subscribed to that of MTN some months back because it was the only CP available then if not the rates was too poor even when compared with the TB rates that came out a week after. |
See this ones.
|
RayRay06677:Yes ooo. Because of their AAA rating they think they can always mop up cash at very low rates. The last one I subscribed with them was even 11%. It was later they pitied themselves and adjusted it to 12%. However, with the platora of companies seeking funds with rates ranging from 15% and above, who go look them except Pension funds and the likes. |
amordi:Coronation, FSDH etc... |
There seem to be an attempt to demarket the everly present and always representing Jollof Rice here by not covering it with any protein. If well prepared, it takes the lead while others follow. |
Foodempire:Sorry, I don't have an idea about FBNQUEST Eurobond funding. Other members who has will respond. |
Foodempire:Savings account with them can be opened from the comfort of your home. In fact on your bed. The requirements are your utility bill, valid ID and an android or IOS phone. Your passport will be taken while opening. Then download the app and set it up. That's all. However, I don't know how easy a Dorm account is with them. For other banks, your will need like 2 Referees who have a current or dorm to attest to your capabilities/suitable of maintaining the account in written form. |
SimpleGuy001:The answer to your first question is yes. Your opening of Mutual Fund Account is also very good at least you can use that as a form of savings to grow your funds before making moves for other investments. Nope it's not a waste of time. No matter how bastardised our currency/economy is now, it is better to have something no matter how little than to having nothing. If you are consistent with your savings, it will help you grow the money. |
oluayebenz:Same thing we said here when it was N360 and it has now crossed N1,000. Yet, they seem to be no end in sight. Everybody can hoard or invest in Dollar. In fact majority of the populace don't even have enough to feed let alone save and hoard in Dollar. So the people you are trying to advice are knowledgeable about it. I know the new economic team have not started implementating their plans but once they do and it's shows any sign of effectiveness, everyone hoarding knows what to do. |
You shouldn't be feeling guilty for gifting someone ' who requested for something you could afford to give and you gave out' It also should not bother you in anyway if you are not overthinking it or feeling some kind of way about him. |
I have tried to post twice about the SUKUK VI but couldn't because I was attaching a document from the DMO. SUKUK VI was over Subscribed. They offered N150 Billion but it was subscribed for about N652.827 Billion. So they have decided to allocate N350 Billion to their diverse subscribers. I don't know how they intend to do it, not stated there but the N350 Billion could be collated either on pro rata basis for all or the retail investors could given priority and what's left distributed to the institutional investors as usual. On the part of the issuer, that's excess of about N200 Billion. I just hope it is well utilised and not squandered/looted. On the part of the investors, it would be disappointing for some who might have pooled out funds from other existing investments for that purpose. I don't know what's keeping the agents/arrangers/banks and investment houses from Informing their customers of the out come. |
maishai:You didn't mention the banks name. How will people that want to touchlight it for us knows which abi na all the banks you want make them touchlight...? |
udatso:Julia phones are good. |
Legend44:That's not DSS. It's Army intelligence. |
adetunrayo:FGN Savings Bond is auctioned monthly. The auction for Oct started earlier and closed today 6/10/23. If that's the only one you are interested in, you can wait till next month. However, if you are interested in another, there is Sukuk VI that's still ongoing. It will close by Wednesday 11/10/23. You can invest same amount you intend to invest in FGN Savings Bond there. The differences/ possible downside are: 1. Tenure for the SUKUK is longer; 10 year compared to 2 or 3 years of the FGN savings Bond. 2. The rent/coupon payment for Sukuk is biannual while that of FGN Savings Bond is Quarterly and as such more frequent. The difference/ Upside is that; the Sukuk rate is better. It's pegged at 15.75 while those of FGN Savings Bond were pegged at 11.074% & 12.074% for the 2 and 3 years respectively. Also, the 2 downsides above if flipped around could be taken as advantages too. Depending on your preference. |
dyonpoint:It's easy. Your are just a mail away from it. All you have to do is contact any of the financial institutions listed on the on the adverts. Other institutions that sends me notices of it but are not on the advert are 'Investment One' and 'Morgan Capital Securities Limited'. Just look them up on Google, their contact details should be there. They will explain what you need to do... Probably their reply will come with the form and account number you should forward the investment funds to. So after filling the form you will just transfer the money and attach the form and receipt and send back. You don't have to be here to do that. The only hurdle you may have is if your account is not yet set up for transfers. If it is, you are good to go. |
ojeysky:You underestimate what happens here. There is not particularly stock that is marketed extensively that would not rally the next day except there is counter analysis here in the same measure. However, one thing with those unreliable stock is that there are like that of MMM the noise they make could sometimes be too loud even for the deaf. |
