18th century, 21st century or even 22nd century mentality but still it doesn’t guarantee the success of the marriage. Focus should be on more important things - understanding, communication, compromise, similar visions and goals, compatibility...not whether or not the woman is bearing her husband’s name. Except the name opens doors in high places of course.

Which kind 18th century mentality be dis? What has bearing husband's name got to do with being a loving and caring wife? How many marriages have crashed with the woman changing her name on her social media pages back to her father’s name? Did her bearing the name of her husband make their marriage succeed? But all your requirements are very reasonable. However, I keep asking aren’t these things he ought to do normally? There's something I've noticed about men. They can be so unforgiving when it comes to their wives or gf's unfaithfulness. I'm not justifying this. Trust me, I'm not. But I've seen lot of cases where women would forgive the husband and forget. Why is it hard for men to forgive?
