Agriculture › Re: See Contribution Of Agricultural Sector To Nigeria's GDP From 2008-2017 by frowland(m): 3:46pm On Mar 25, 2019 |
smithsammy: The information is not misleading.
While I agree that the value of the 20% of a GDP in 2017 might be higher than 30% of a GDP in 2009, the aspect from which I want us to look at the infrograph is the 'proportion' of agriculture contribution to our GDP.
The questions we need to answer are:
1) Why the fall in propostion?
2) Is it normal that agrriculture is crawling why other sectors are moving forward?
3) Is it not naturally normal that our agricultural sector increase in operation and harvest as our population increases? No, you are wrong @ point # 2 & 3. Other sectors have remained thesame %age wise just like in Agric sector over this same period. What you will look at is the total real terms and not in percentage. There is NOTHING wrong if year in year percentage remains the same as long as there is general growth in GDP. Look, the error when using percentage to drive your point is that if agriculture is increasing, one or other sectors MUST have a drop. So from the above article, the sector is actually doing well. Thanks. |
Agriculture › Re: See Contribution Of Agricultural Sector To Nigeria's GDP From 2008-2017 by frowland(m): 1:48pm On Mar 25, 2019 |
smithsammy: We are not doing enough in agriculture. Going by the infographic, Yaradua's administration made better impact in the sector than the succeeding administrations.
Buhari needs to up his game in this area. We are actually doing well, going by the infograph. You have to pick up your calculator and find out what 30% of 2008 GDP was... Then calculate 20% of current GDP, you will then realise that the information above is slightly misleading. Thanks. |

nosiebaba: Pls read well i only talked about the longeivity of vehicles in the last paragraph. And secondly i marvel at your thinking you sound like a comedian. The tanker that fell in traffic in front of Ojo military barracks and exploded claiming tens of lives was a result of what. I really marvel at your thinking really and you are using your head to think right Maybe you are the one that should read my post again. I NEVER said there are no accidents recorded on bad roads. I said the number is lower compared to good roads ~ ratio wise. Its due to this good roads that make some countries introduce speed limits, warnings and road signs and even bumps to warn deter drivers. Look let me clear your blocked head so you understand better. Have you heard that camel and horse drivers have accidents? NO As long as fast cars are coming up and with smooth roads also there will be higher accident rate. That is my position on this issue! Thanks. |
Car Talk › Re: Fashola: Bad Roads Not Cause Of Accidents On Highways by frowland(m): 10:02am On Mar 21, 2019 |
nosiebaba: Bad roads are one of the major causes of accidents on HIGHWAYS, only an insane person will claim otherwise. Driving on most expressways in Nigeria are like driving through a mine field in sambisa forest. You will be dodging potholes left and right. Onyibo go use car 10 years e go still be like new one. Drive that car on Nigerian roads for one year you will know how far. You are talking of longevity of the vehicle and the article is talking of accidents. Actually, good road equals high accident rate. Take china, US as example. Take a look at their record compared to most african countries. Bad roads on the other hand reduces over speeding, also reduces vehicle lifespan. How many accident happen on a dilapidated (Enugu-Portharcout road for example) compared to smooth highways like Sagamu-Ore-Benin highway. Common, gotta start using your head and not your heart when thinking. |

Ratello: It is gradually becoming interesting.... Buhari and his goons are about to be dispatched to the jungle of Daura.
******* To those who are still confused on how Atiku arrived at these figures, you must understand that there was a hand held device like a POS Machine that is connected directly to INEC server given to each INEC Collation Officers with the specific instructions that after the final results declared by the Collation Officer at each polling Unit, he or she is to key in those figures as it applies to each party contending and automatically it gets stored in the system and cannot be altered and at the collation centre from the polling Units, what had been stored already on that hand held device from every available polling units in that Ward are finally sent to INEC''s server which cannot be tampered with. I hope you got the whole picture now! Bullshit |
