Nobody under the care of the government under any circumstance should be treated inhumanly. In there, WILL be innocent persons, while some who steal people's commonwealth will be outside claiming to be leaders. |
So, what about the presidential election petition judgments that are scheduled for Wednesday? Hope it's not the more you look....? |
A criminal act is a criminal act. Whether court declares it a crime or not, it is a criminal act. If so, a criminal (whether declared by court or not) should not hold exalted position like a president of a country. But wetin I know? The society will determine whether such a person is fit or should be allowed to be a president. This is me talking generally. |
The justices, including the ones at the Supreme Court should do justice. The facts are clear to all. Technical decision is no justice to the people who went out in the rain and sun to vote for their choices. |

It is even demeaning for a married woman not to request from her husband. She is entitled to request, just as the husband is entitled to do same. They need understanding regarding mood, place, time and how. |
Nigeria is going o. We may soon evolve to a type of government that is unknown. Even under the military, the court stood tall. But under civilian rule especially under Buhari, and now Tinubu, the court may serve as servants to the executive. Where do we go from here? |
Assuming the hippopotamus was not causing havoc, I would have preferred it stays alive, and probably placed in a zoo with habitable condition. Anyway, kudos to the youths for confronting their fears. This tells us that when the youths have resolved to achieve a result (a good one at that) they can do it. |
It's a shame that we all saw the video but the ruling party wants to blatantly scuttle any form of investigation. Nigeria don dey finish. I pity the youths and the children being born now. |
These people do not represent the good people of Nigeria. Well, there is a difference between "Parties" and "Parities". |
Why punish traders who had harvested their produce and hoping to make ends meet, all in the name of what? Imagine the baby crying, yet no pity on the poor child that was probably hoping to have his/her next meal from the mother's sales for the day. Assuming there is a justifiable grievance, I don't think that this act of destruction is justified. |
This is brilliant. A genuine call for our youths to do well in their legal endeavors. Kudos to the Edo State Deputy- Governor. |
He should wake up from sleep. The dream will end. |
...but Chicken Republic did not sack her.....And philanthropists, like the pastor, cannot be fooled... |
In a sane clime, he will be personally responsible for the cost of the private engagement. Who pays for the use of the official aircraft and the crew, his accommodation, etc in London? |
IamV2:Please don't doubt your presence tomorrow o! I look forward to the proceedings for tomorrow from you. You are doing very well. |

Taylor93:I share in your pain. It pains me too that justice is running away from the people of Nigeria, and those that manipulate the system are laughing at the people, and are saying confidently that "nothing will happen, Obi is wasting his time." The question then is, will this one still go the way of the manipulators of the system? Can justice have a rethink and come back to the people? I doubt it, but let's wait and see. If justice disappears into thin air, INEC should forget about luring us to vote in any other election; and the court (Election Tribunal and the Supreme Court) should know that the credibility of old has disappeared with justice. |
Tinubu, APC and INEC's lawyers have just succeeded in wasting our day. They have stylishly eaten into Obi's time with their vexatious, time-wasting, and ludicrous objections. They want to get technical justice to ridicule voters that went out on 25 Feb 2023 to cast their votes. Let's see what the tribunal will do. If substantial justice is still dropped in the dust bin and replaced with technicalities (as usual), I wonder whether INEC can rally people in future to go out and vote. |
I no longer trust INEC. |
baby124:There will be no fine against Obi.... |
I don't understand why INEC will oppose live broadcast of the election petition proceedings. If both the APC and INEC do not have skeleton in their cupboards, they will not oppose live broadcast. More so, every Nigerian in entitled to be in court to witness proceedings, but because no hearing centre can accommodate all Nigerians, opportunity should be given to all. The court should remember what happened a few days ago, where there was a disagreement among spectators due to lack of seats. |
When I read about or listen to Apapa, my mind goes to when Ali Modu Sheriff was the Chairman of PDP. |
Governance under this incoming government (if it remains that way) is going to be something else. Imagine people scampering for leadership positions both at the executive and national assembly levels. People with so many unanswered questions. Oh Nigeria!! |
She restated the question I have been asking, "what is the untrue statement she made in her letter to President Biden?" I have not got any answer to that question other than vilifying comments and threats of litigation that lack foundational basis. Let's call a spade a spade, these political actors, particularly the ones in APC and INEC are toying with the future of this country. When truth is spoken, they try to parry it and bring up irrelevant issues for the people to fiddle with, and some people shamefully fall for the tricks so easily. Let me quickly say what I foresee next: After the inauguration on 29 May 2023 (which is constitutional), the government (whether legitimately earned or not), will try and frustrate any criminal action or action with criminal contents against the "president" in the guise of immunity from prosecution (even though contained in an election petition). |
I wonder if this man and his fellow "Yessah" boys talk to their children about honesty. If they do, what do they say? |
Jamesbiodun:She does not need to join politics. We all saw the brazen robbery and transportation of votes from Labour Party to APC. Let our conscience dictate our comments. What about the threat, and harassments and prevention of a certain group of voters, who APC feared will massively vote for the Labour Party? Does she need to be a politician to know that the Supreme Court has been bringing out questionable decisions, particularly in political cases? Does she need to be a politician to know that corruption is rife, and politicians are major players in corrupt practices? Or, is it that you do not know the ridiculous way the primaries of the APC and PDP played out? Does she need to be a politician to know that with the way Nigeria is going, the future of the country is bleak? If your judiciary is highly compromised; your police protects the corrupt against the innocent; your legislature is full of corrupt politicians; and your presidency is full of people with questionable character, what future does your country have? Do you think of your children, or you are just thinking of the now and your pocket? If we need true positive change for Nigeria, let us support the quest for true transformation of the Nigeria. Two men (Peter Obi and Datti) has come out with a team of sane and corrupt-free Nigerians to sacrifice their time to revive this country, and some paid "Yessah" men and working day and night to discredit them, but giving credit to some people with questionable character. I support Chimamanda's letter. I also support that the hearing of the electoral petitions to be in the open. Let the proceedings be televised. After all, we are all entitled to attend because hearing is supposed to be in the public, but the courtrooms cannot contain all of us. We are all interested in not just the outcome, but also the process that will lead to the decision. |
What has political party or a politician got to do with the allegation? Meanwhile, has he gone to Apongbon to see what they sell there and seal the place? |
The hearing should be in public. As the courtroom is small, and in one location where every Nigerian can't get in to view as members of the public, it should be televised live for us to see as concerned Nigerians and entitled members of the public. |
burp18:It is highly disrespectful to call Obi an idiot. |
What about the transportation of votes from LP to APC? This non-qualification thing does not work in Nigeria. If we remember Buhari's case. Even where evidence abound that he had no certificate, the fact that he is able to read and write in English was sufficient for him. I wonder what LP has on Tinubu. It will be interesting if such evidence will be a game changer. Well, I don't think these are all the grounds of the petition. Let us wait and watch. |
Who stole whose mandate? Laughable!!! |
