We in the PDP have seen all it takes to move Nigeria forward and our candidate reflects it.

1) Atiku is not tribalistic or religiously inclined.
The other two candidates are very tribalistic and religiously inclined. PO drove northerners from Anambra, they've not forgotten. Tinubu feels christians are inconsequential but Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a unifier, he married an Igbo Christian wife and has many youths, and a diverse community of people around him.

2) Atiku promulgated the new electronic electoral laws which produced a free and fair system.

3) Atiku us a seasoned businessman who's personal business has done way better than the other candidates. And he did it without using public funds. He hasn't being in power for about 20 years now, he has no political godson that's remitting to him, but he's still rich. He didn't owe workers salaries and save government money in his personal bank. He's not using public funds to bankroll his family.

4) Atiku is smart. He's resource oriented, that's why he doesn't make appointments based on political capabilities but on mental capabilities. That's why he chose Peter Obi in 2019 and Okowa now ahead of Nyesom Wike who is my political leader.

5) Atiku has the best chance to wrestle power from the APC and it's terrible ideologies.

Oyetola Set To Contest Osun Election Result With 50 Lawyers

Governor Gbeyega Oyetola of Osun State
Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded governorship election in the state is prepared to seek legal means to upturn the results in his favour.

Reall candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke was declared winner of the Osun governorship held on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Adeleke polled PDP 403,371 to defeat Oyetola and the APC with 375,027 votes, while Lasun Yusuf of Labour Party, LP polled 2,729

Speaking on Oyetola’s preparation for legal action against Adeleke’s victory, Kunle Adegoke, a senior advocate who is a member of Oyetola’s legal team revealed to Vanguard that 50 lawyers have indicated interest to join the case.

When asked about the legal grounds with which Oyetola will be challenging Adeleke, Adegoke stated that they are still studying the election results and building their evidence.

“We are still studying the election results, working on the legal grounds, and building evidence to challenge Adeleke’s declaration as governor-elect; as we speak, about 50 lawyers have indicated interest to join us.” He said.

Meanwhile, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Diran Odeyemi, had earlier told Vanguard that any aggrieved politician who plans to take legal action against the victory of the Osun State governor-elect, Adeleke, is giving money to lawyers for an academic exercise.

“An average Nigerian politician doesn’t accept defeat until they get to the Supreme Court.

“So if anybody is still arguing or going to court over primary election that has been conducted, and as a matter of fact it’s now at the Appeal Court as you put it, with the overwhelming support of the people of Osun State, you will realise or agree with me that the person is just giving his money to legal people to just for academic exercise.

“We are not bothered. An average politician in Nigerian doesn’t accept defeat; we don’t have the spirit of sportsmanship.

“If you tell them that, they will tell you “but we are not playing football.”

Luck Shines On Ladies Fíghting Over Aguba As OPM Founder Cancels Promises Made To The Actor, Transfers It To Them


Following Aguba’s refusal to choose a Nigerian wife, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the General overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has cancelled the marriage promises he made to him and transferred to the ladies fighting over him.


Recall OPM founder vowed to sponsor the actors wedding and sponsor him and his Nigerian wife to Dubai for their honeymoon.

He also promised take Aguba and his wife on a shopping spree in Dubai and a tour around the city.


However, Aguba refused to settle for a Nigerian wife despite the different beautiful ladies indicating their interest and fighting for his attention. Aguba stated that he would only marry a virgin from Israel.


Following Aguba's ridiculous demands, Apostle Chibuzor has now retracted his promises, offering them to the ladies instead.

He promised to sponsor their weddings and fly them and their chosen husbands to Dubai for honeymoon.


He also promised to give them large amount of to finance any business of their choice.

In his words;

I have been monitoring events happening and I have refused to comment.

Now I am saying something.

As Aguba has refused to marry any woman from Nigeria.

I am hereby transferring the gifts to the girls.

2. He will try to convince them that he is not a religious extremist because his wife is a pastor.

3. He will start attending a lot of Church programmes, beginning with Holy Ghost Congress, conventions, anniversaries and celebrations of clergy men especially in the South West and in Abuja. Though, we can't stop him from coming to our Programme, but the church must understand that fake appearance can't make up for true penance. Someone who sat and negotiated with the Muslim North must not bamboozle us with appearance!

4. He will give large Financial donations to Churches and gifts to pastors.

5. He will publicly ask for prayers from pastors to prove that he believes in, and loves the Christian Faith!

6. Quite a number of pastors, especially of his ethnic extraction, will start endorsing him openly and try to sell his candidacy to their various congregations. We saw a subtle attempt by Pastor Poju Oyemade and now this direct effort from Sunday Adelaja. He can even be made a Baba Ijo by some churches! We won't be surprised!

7. His wife may likely meet pastors' wives and Christian women leaders, especially those that run large prayer groups nationwide!

Tinubu knows what he was saying when he said he can handle the Southern Christians!

He singlehandedly divided church votes with his choice of Osinbajo as Vice President and the planned visit of Buhari to the Camp. But has Buhari been seen at the camp since he won the election? Food for thought!

The Church must be sober and vigilant.

Osun Poll: Voters Defy Rain At Ife

Residents of the ancient city of Ile Ife on Saturday trooped out in their numbers to perform their civic responsibility in the Osun State Governorship election.

They defied the light showers of rainfall in the early hours, with the majority of voters staying back in the queues to cast their votes.

At units 003 and 004 at St Gabriel’s, Oyeemo, Ile Ife in the Ife East Local Government Area, voters were seen in long queues casting their votes in an orderly manner in the two units.

A 76 years old woman, Mrs. Elizabeth Kolawole, who voted at Unit 004, lauded the process which she said was not time-wasting as previous experiences.

Why I jumped queue to vote - Adeleke 

Kolawole said, “I have been voting since the Western Region days during the time of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo. I have voted in all elections.

“I vote for development. I have voted here today. I voted for good things in Osun State and Ile Ife here. The exercise is peaceful and orderly,” she said.

A nursing mother, Mrs Abeebat, who voted at Unit 003, said she was given preferential treatment by the electoral officers in view of her baby without being allowed to queue up, as she lauded the development, describing it as an encouragement.

Commission Establishes Regional Offices For Arms Control

The National Coordinator, National Center for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons, Major General Abba Dikko (retd.), said the center has established regional offices across the six geopolitical zones for arms control in the country.

He said the offices are located in Maiduguri for the North East, Kaduna for the North West, Minna for the North Central, Enugu for the South East, Calabar for the South South and Ado Ekiti for the South West.

Dikko spoke during the strategic engagement with Civil Society Organisations on the control of small arms and light weapons in Nigeria.

He said, “I am delighted to state that since its establishment, the Centre has made giant strides within the short time frame to achieve full operationalization. Of note is the establishment of the regional offices in the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

“The offices are located in Maiduguri for the North East, Kaduna for the North West, Minna for the North Central, Enugu for the South East, Calabar for the South South and Ado Ekiti for the South West.

“The operationalisation of the Centre has focused on discharging its core function of providing a strategic platform for arms control in Nigeria through close partnership with stakeholders especially the Civil Society, both locally and internationally.

Accordingly, in the last one year, the Centre has identified and communicated its key priorities, for the short and medium term, to all partners and has received substantial support in areas such as capacity development. ”


He also described easy access to arms as the key driver for terroism and other forms of insecurity in the country.

Dikko said, “In the last two decades, it has remained a key driver for terrorism, ethno-religious conflicts, violent separatism and sundry organised
criminal activities within and across our borders.

“It is also common knowledge that Nigeria has borne the brunt of the instability in the Sahel region occasioned by the push-and-pull effect of arms trafficking.”
