Tears Flow As Quintuplet Brothers Carry Their Only Dead Sister’s Coffin – Photos A quintuplet girl being brought to her grave was captured in a heartbreaking photo. As they transported their dead sister’s body to be buried, the kids could be seen crying. Throughout the whole funeral procession, they also appeared shocked and lost. When their only sister passed away from natural causes, the brothers were shocked. They started crying uncontrollably since they had no idea what to do with themselves. A full family was spotted carrying the casket while donning matching dresses and veils. As they carried their sister’s casket, the four siblings were observed sobbing in front of onlookers. They attended the event with their parents at their sides. They were unable to take it anymore, so they assisted their parents in carrying their only deceased sister’s glass coffin. There was one female and four boys. The only girl passed away, leaving behind four twins. Pupils in Anambra public schools rejecting promotion to new class because of food — School Feeding Scheme Manager The Programme Manager, National Homegrown School Feeding Scheme in Anambra State, Mrs Eriken Uzoamaka, has expressed regret that pupils in classes One to Three across Public Primary Schools in the state were rejecting promotion to senior classes because of food. Uzoamaka explained that the rejection was as a result of the pupils delight on the kind of food they were served which usually surpass that of pupils in classes 4 to 6. According to her, even those that agree to be promoted, usually come to their junior class (Primary 3), especially on Wednesdays, to struggle for food with others. Speaking in Awka after a two-day capacity building workshop on Enhancing Social Protection Programme in Nigeria, organised by the Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ), Uzoamaka said that efforts were on ground to solve the challenge. She added: “We serve rich food to pupils in classes 1 to 3 as captured in the national homegrown school feeding scheme. That is why even those that agree to be promoted usually come to their junior class (primary 3), especially on Wednesdays to struggle for food with others. We serve beans and plantains (or with sweet potatoes) that day. “We are appealing to Anambra State government to support the programme by feeding pupils from primary 4 to 6 and probably include feeding of pre-primary school pupils to curb the challenges and increase more numbers of pupils in public schools. “Since the inception of the programme in 2016, about 10 cooks have died and it is affecting the programme in some schools. It is only the national that can recruit and replace them, we have no right to replace them but we have written to inform the national body but they are yet to be replaced.” While listing other challenges facing the programme in Anambra State to include death of 10 cooks and the high cost of foodstuff in the market, the Programme Manager noted that the situation has made it impossible for affected schools to benefit because new cooks were yet to be employed by the federal government. “The cooks are really complaining and the high cost of food items is making it difficult for them to give us adequate meal per child. This development has made the Federal Government agree to increase the meal price from N70 to N100, but it is yet to be implemented,” she said. https://newsexpressngr.com/news/157551-Pupils-in-Anambra-public-schools-rejecting-promotion-to-new-class-because-of-food-School-Feeding-Scheme-Manager

Fresh Document Shows Organ Donor In Ekweremadu’s Ordeal Is 21 Years Old All might not have been heard about the travail of the former president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu over their alleged role in human trafficking and organ harvesting. The prosecutors told the court on Thursday, that Ekweremadus were being charged for bringing the 15-year-old boy from Nigeria to the UK with the claim that he was to be given a better life in the UK but was actually to harvest his organ. The prosecutors told the court that the former Senate President procured a passport for the boy and claimed he was 21 years old but discovered that he was 15 years old. According to AriseTV, the organ was not harvested after the boy truthfully disclosed his age to the doctors at the Royal Free hospital. in the UK. The doctor canceled the procedure and the boy was immediately taken into the custody of the family who according to the prosecutors treated him like a slave until he escaped and found his way to the police where an investigation started, leading to the arrest of the couple. But contrary to the claim by the British prosecutors Ukpo David Nwamini’s official National Identification Number, NIN shows that he’s truly not an underage but could be above 22 years. According to the document sighted by our correspondent, the Donor was born on 12th of October, 2000. This means he’s over 21 years and corresponds with the claim on his visa application. Also, from his Facebook profile which he has taken down, David is from Izzi in Ebonyi State and is already in a relationship according to his profile on the socla media account. Also, the claim of trafficking was nullified by the letter written by Mr Ekweremadu to the British High Commission in Nigeria in support of a visa application Ukpo David. In the letter, Mr Ekweremadu disclosed that the applicant was travelling to the UK for medical examination to possibly donate a kidney to his daughter Sonia. He said the examination would be carried out at the London Royal Free Hospital. The Uxbridge Magistrate ordered Ekweremadu and his wife be remanded in custody until July 7, 2022, for the next hearing on the case. FG Orders BetKing,Bet9ja, Nairabet, Other Gaming Operators In Nigeria To Link Customers’ NIN To Database Nigeria’s house of representatives has ordered the National Lottery Regulatory Commission to ensure that Bet9ja, Nairabet, BetKing and other Gaming Operators in Nigeria integrate the National Identity Numbers (NIN) of customers into their database. The resolution was sequel to a unanimous adoption of a motion by Ibrahim Isiaka (APC-Ogun) at plenary on Thursday. Presenting the motion, Mr Isiaka said that the global gaming market was huge and that it was estimated that between $400 and $500 was being generated annually through gaming business. “If the current trend continues, the gaming business will be worth around 565 billion dollars especially with the increasing revenue from online gaming. “With age-restricted businesses like casinos and online gaming platforms, the critical barrier to entry for customers is age and identity verification; therefore there is an increased need for such verifications in virtual situations in order to secure both the customers and the operators,” he said. In his ruling, the Speaker of the house, Femi Gbajabiamila, mandated the Committee on Governmental Affairs to ensure compliance. https://gazettengr.com/

Anthony Joshua Set to Receive a Smaller Cut From $80 Million Oleksandr Usyk Rematch as Compared to Andy Ruiz Jr. Rematch Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk’s magnanimous rematch has been in the works for months. It has been anticipated by the entire world, and it will finally take place in August. According to reports, the fight will take place in Saudi Arabia, and a large sum of money will be on the line in this historic combat. The fight between Anthony Joshua and Usyk will cost a whopping $80 million to the stage. ‘AJ’ is noted for selling some of the era’s most prominent contests. In 2019, the Middle Eastern country hosted a rematch between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr . Saudi Arabia paid roughly $60 million to host the match at the time. Furthermore, Joshua and Usyk will each receive a huge portion of the large sum, which will be split in half. AJ, on the other hand, will be paid less for this fight than he did for Ruiz Jr because he had a substantial share in that fight. The Ministry of Sports and Skills Challenge Entertainment is a sports and entertainment firm based in Riyadh, which has sealed the deal. The two titans fought for the first time in September 2021. The fight was billed as ‘The Perfect Storm’, and it set the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London electrifying. AJ was a big fan favorite, but the Ukrainian boxer showed his mettle and emerged as the champion. The first bout had already pointed towards a sequel. Albeit, the second fight was supposed to occur in May, the Ukraine-Russia conflict put that on hold. The 35-year-old went back to his homeland to serve his country. Nevertheless, Ukraine’s sports ministry has given Usyk permission to return to his training camp and prepare for his fight with AJ. This fight on August 20 will decide not only who will be the champion between these two competitors, but it will also have a bigger future significance. According to rumors, the victor of this battle will face Tyson Fury next. Although ‘The Gypsy King’ has retired, he has stated in interviews that he may return if a good deal is offered. Only time will tell how the fight plays out. In the meantime, let us know what do you make of the rematch possibility between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk? Who would you be hooting for between the two fighters? https://theparadise.ng/oleksandr-usyk-vs-anthony-joshua-rematch-reportedly-set-to-break-record-with-80million-saudi-arabia-site-deal-but-aj-could-earn-less-than-for-andy-ruiz-jr-fight/amp/

Warning for MILLIONS of Android phone owners – these alerts mean someone may be watching you ANDROID now alerts users when apps may be spying on them via their device's camera or microphone. With the release of Android's operating system (OS) 12 this past December came a slew of handy new features. In fact, one new feature now notifies users when an app is accessing their device's camera or microphone. The tool does this even if the app is only accessing those functions in the background. How does it work? Android 12 will alert you by placing an indicator in the upper-right corner of your screen. The indicator appears in the form of an icon that lets you know what type of access the app is trying to get. After a second or so, the icon then changes to a tiny green dot. How to use this tool Android's goal with this new tool is to prevent apps from surreptitiously listening in – or even watching through your camera. Users can find out what's being accessed and which app is doing the accessing by swiping down. Once you do that, the dot will expand back to that full icon, which you can then tap to see more information. How to get more information You can see a rolling log of which apps have access to your camera, microphone, or location – and when. That information is available in the new Privacy Dashboard inside Settings. It's also now possible to entirely deactivate your microphone and camera across the entire phone in your Quick Settings. How to protect yourself It's worth remembering that seeing an icon doesn't mean anything malicious is going on. Sometimes an app genuinely needs to use your camera – like Instagram. But if you notice that your camera is being used by a strange app, it could mean you're being spied on. Cyber experts have uncovered numerous apps that have inappropriately accessed the camera on Android phones. So make sure you're using Android 12, and that you stay wary of any foul play. If you suspect something is up, you should check the app's permissions in Settings. You can deny specific apps access to your microphone or camera, for instance. And if you're really worried, you could just delete the app altogether. https://www.the-sun.com/tech/5616343/warning-millions-android-phone-owners-alerts-spying/amp/

Ectopic pregnancy describes pregnancies that occur outside the womb and may be fatal to the health of both mother and child. In this piece, The PUNCH highlights five things to know about ectopic pregnancy: 1. There are different types of ectopic pregnancies. It could be abdominal, cervical, ovarian, and others; depending on where pregnancy occurs. An abdominal ectopic pregnancy, according to experts, occurs when a developing embryo implants and grows within the peritoneal cavity. There is also ovarian pregnancy, which occurs in the ovary, a cervical pregnancy, which occurs in the cervix. 2. Abdominal pregnancy, which occurs in the abdomen, is the rarest form. Experts noted that ectopic pregnancy is about one to two per cent of all pregnancies, adding that such a pregnancy rarely gets to term because a baby hardly survives in an abdomen. However, the case of Veronica Musa who delivered a healthy baby despite having abdominal ectopic pregnancy may be termed a miracle. 3. Babies from ectopic pregnancy could have some health issues because the uterus is the appropriate place for a baby to grow and not any other part. The baby may not get as good enough blood supply and nutrients which would affect the growth of the foetus. Babies from ectopic pregnancy, he added, may have limb deformations, congenital anomalies, anaemia and could die. 4. In cases of abdominal ectopic pregnancy, the presence of fibroid could cause the implantation of the foetus to take place in the abdomen. 5. Ectopic pregnancy is a threat to both the woman and the baby because it is a high-risk pregnancy. https://punchng.com/five-things-to-know-about-ectopic-pregnancy/?amp
