“House-to-house visits don start” – Nigerians react as Jehovah’s Witnesses open Kingdom Halls two years after COVID-19 lockdown. Jehovah’s Witnesses have opened their places of worship, known as Kingdom Halls, two years after they were shut worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The group’s spokesperson in Nigeria, Olusegun Eroyemi, in a video announcement noted that its public activities were suspended to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among members and their friends. In his words: “ We didn’t want to be associated with spreading COVID. We didn’t want it to be said that someone contracted COVID because he attended a function organised by Jehovah’s witnesses. That was why we had to wait until what we thought was a good time to go and this time, we think, is the right time. “ These are difficult but not hopeless times. Attending one of these special events will provide the needed courage to look to the future with confidence in God’s promises.” While the Kingdom Halls were shut, members of the religious group held their services virtually. Aas the worshipping centers are now open, reports confirmed that all activities, including their famous house-to–house visits will begin. A socila media user on Facebook reacted saying : “Finally, people go come knock for my door." Someone said, "Finally we will see people tucked in with bags and umbrella moving around on Saturdays." Here's what another said, "Finally, we will have access to AWAKE and other magazines.” What do you say too? https://referencedailynews.com/?p=38915&

D contemporary world is absurdly & dangerously sliding into moral bankruptcy wit each passing day, all because of mind ya biznes! Meanwhile, in a real sense, no one can absolutely mind his or her own biznes without minding other pple's biznes! Dis is inevitably so because, by nature, minding other pple's biznes is inherently part of our own biznes, on a general note! Any exhibition dt's not private {frm anyone living among humans} invariably bcoms a public matter & d pple must definitely mind it! Of course, u can't privately take a decision wit public implications & expect d pple not 2 mind it! Moreso, we can't practically be our brothers' & sisters' keepers without minding their biznes! So, we mind one anoda's biznes at different point in time, unless d biznes doesn't roll in public domain! |

Senior Pastor Demolishes Church After Catching His Wife Kissing Assistant Pastor. The senior pastor of Evangelical Church in Tana River County, Kenya, has demolished his church in anger after he caught his wife and the assistant pastor having a romantic moment after a prayer vigil. According to Nairobi News, the preacher is said to have caught his wife kissing the assistant pastor in the church. Joan Mulei, a member of the worship team, said the pastor and the wife left immediately after the service only for the pastor’s wife to return a few minutes later. "People had already left and only the assistant pastor and a few worship team members stayed behind for a meeting when she walked in and joined in the meeting that would later end prematurely,” she said. The group ended the meeting with a prayer and proceeded home, leaving behind the assistant pastor and the Reverend’s wife who appeared to be holding another exclusive meeting. "While we were walking home, we met the senior pastor at the junction to the church, he looked worried and asked if we had seen his wife, we told him she was still held in a meeting with his assistant,” she said. The pastor headed towards the church to pick up his wife as he feared the insecurity in the town following a rise in murder incidents by the Kayole Brothers gang. On arrival at the Church, he found the lights switched off and the main door closed. He decided to use that rear door where he was shocked to find his wife entangled in the arms of his assistant, lost in a passionate kiss. "We heard a man scream, Yesuuu!!!Yesu!!! And we thought he had been attacked so we ran to his rescue since we knew the voice of the pastor only to find him bringing down the church while the wife was pleading with him to settle,” said Ali Mohammed, a resident living near the church. The man of God in tears demolished the iron-sheet-made building in the night and immediately hired some youth to carry them away. Immediately after, he left the town for an unknown place and has not picked up calls since. The wife has since left for her matrimonial home. Reached for comment, the assistant pastor claimed that the pastor’s wife coerced him into the act, denying that they have been having an affair. https://busytape.com/senior-pastor-demolishes-church-after-catching-his-wife-kissing-assistant-pastor/

“They Are Not The Ordinary Kidnappers” – El-Rufai Reveals Those Behind Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack. The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has unveiled the identities of those responsible for Monday’s dastardly attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train in which many were killed, some injured and many others kidnapped. The daring attack which sent shockwaves down the spines of Nigerians was jointly executed by Boko Haram members and bandit terrorists, the Governor disclosed. He made the disclosure on Friday while speaking with newsmen shortly after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari on the security situation in Kaduna State as well as the recent attacks in the state, NaijaliveTv reports. Governor El-Rufai also confirmed that the terrorists have started contacting some of the family members of those they kidnapped but ruled out the possibility of his government paying ransom to secure their release. He said,“They have contacted some of the families but they have not made specific demands yet. “They are not the ordinary kidnappers, it’s Boko Haram members that connived with bandits to launch the attack and so our thought is, they may demand the government to pay the ransom.” He remained optimistic that security forces will locate the bandits in their hideout and rescue the victims safely. It will be recalled that former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani also recently identified the major bandits operating in the north as Bello Turji, Dogo Gide, Manjagara, and Balleri, wondering why they still roam freely, grant interviews on radio and the security agencies have not arrested them. He accused the security agencies and agents of only carrying out ‘eye-service’ operations. https://www./2022/04/02/they-are-not-the-ordinary-kidnappers-el-rufai-reveals-those-behind-abuja-kaduna-train-attack/?amp

See her tweet below: Social media reactions @sovereignayo said: "The only way to save a kidnapped victim is by paying the ransom or meeting up to what the kidnappers demanded. It's unfortunate that she got kidnapped but using her travail to gather retweets by asking for “unspecified” help is hypocrisy. Repent soberly specify the help u want." @ehiskhana said: "Was just reading about one where a pastor and his son were kidnapped in a Benue links vehicle along with http://others.So 2 incidents on the same road on the same day? "God bless Nigeria." @dukest96 said: "This country is finished so much so that nobody anywhere is safe..only the elites that move about with soldiers, to guard them day and night are safe. Troops Dislodge Unknown Gunmen, Recover Guns, Charms & Coffin. It was a victorious outing for the troops of 82 Division of the Nigerian Army as they conducted clearance operations along Anambra/Imo States border communities, during which they invaded a criminal hideout used by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, Eastern Security Network (ESN) in Orsumoghu, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State. This was contained in a statement issued by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, in which he also noted that the notorious groups have serially launched attacks on defenceless civilians and security targets from the hideout. The statement reads in parts: “During the clearance operations along the border communities, troops were met with stiff resistance from the dissident elements, as they closed in on their enclave. They were overwhelmed by troops’ superior firepower, forcing them to abandon their hideout.” “After overrunning their camp, the gallant troops carried out further exploitation and recovered a cache of arms, comprising 22 Pump Action rifles, 19 Dane guns and 6 machetes. Other items recovered include assorted mobile phones, SIM cards, monitors and a laptop. One operational Toyota Hilux vehicle and various voodoo items and charms were also recovered. “Investigations revealed that the hideout served as the operational base of one Innocent Obieke (aka Double Lion), who is said to be the head of the vigilante group in the area, but surreptitiously coordinates the criminal activities of IPOB/ESN. The suspect is currently on the run, while troops have intensified operations to close in on him and his cohorts. “Members of the general public are please enjoined to continue to support troops and other security agencies with credible and timely information that will lead to the arrest of criminal elements in their vicinity". https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/amp/news/306945/troops-dislodge-unknown-gunmen-in-anambra-recover-guns-cha.html
