The ultimate origin of human beings, according to the Bible, is a single human couple. Can this be proved? Probably not. Why do Christians believe it? Because God said so.

I get that you don't care what God says, but that is entirely your choice. And I am neither responsible nor interested in it. It is of course possible to claim that there were multiple original human progenitors, or that human beings evolved from this or that species etc, or that different "races" of human beings evolved from different branches in the evolutionary tree. But you would be in quite a bind if you tried to prove that any of these "guesses" is what actually happened. It is impossible to prove human origins. All we can do is choose what to believe.

Some things make sense to believe, and others don't. For Christians, it makes sense to us to believe that there was an original human couple from whom all humankind derives, because God said so. Our logic is simply that God must know, since He created everything including that couple Himself. If God cannot be believed, who can be?

What I am wondering about is how you can go from that to the conclusion that there is "no singular source of human beings"? How is this not surmising on your part even if we were to accept that mine is any kind of surmising?

I think you didn't pay good attention to what you read. I did not say at any point that the umbilical cord is not a genetic structure. I said that it is not merely a cosmetic feature. Every human fetus, regardless what their other features may be, possesses an umbilical cord, or else it would not be viable. Of course, if the genes do not have the information, there would be no umbilical cord. But the umbilical cord is a critical function. It is useless unless a fetus is needing it to receive nourishment from an incubating parent.

Therefore, Adam's and Eve's lack of an umbilical cord would have absolutely no impact on their offspring, genetically speaking. The genes that they passed down to their children could still possess information for an umbilical cord even if they themselves lacked one, simply because without it it would be impossible to incubate human fetuses. All that was necessary was for Adam and Eve to possess the perfect blueprint of all human genetic information, in order for their offspring to possess features contained in any part of the genetic sequence that they inherit. Not for them to have all human features.

Why does simple biology not also teach you and the poster that if Adam and Eve were never in a womb, they never needed an umbilical cord, and that an umbilical cord is a far more critical feature than, say, skin color, so that it is not just some cosmetic feature passed down by the genes, but a critical structure for the production of human children?

As usual, I was on my tour to know more about people's opinions on religions, God, human origin, etc. A fat woman's money dropped at the Bus Stop. She was too far to bend down immediately and the bus she came down from was ready to move. She was pointing to it. I was close to it. I picked it up immediately and gave it to her. People around me began to say all manner of things. "Why did you help her pick it?" "She should have picked it by herself. It's ritual she wants to use you for. Go and fast and pray as soon as you get home."

When I kept smiling without replying them, someone began to plead the blood of Jesus on my behalf.

"I cover you with the blood of Jesus!"

The scene wasn't funny o. See what religion and superstitions has done to the brains of my fellow Africans.

Now let's assume that I am a Christian and something bad now happens to me a week after, I will link that bad incidence to this event and then start running up and down for prayers. In the end, many pastors will scam me and use my money + monies of thousands of victims like me to buy private jet. Religion is bad!

If your argument is correct, then it is evolution if we are taller or shorter than our parents, look different in any respect from them, or in fact are different at all in any respect from them. That would be incredibly absurd because it would mean that offspring ought only to be clones of their parents, wouldn't it?

Now I get it! I finally got it!

D & .D has once again proven their genius, these men deserve every accolade they have ever gotten. Imagine the brilliance! The wisdom and level of wits these men possess.

No one could have ever seen this coming, I repeat no one. I had to laugh and throw my fist in the air when I figured it out. The backlash, the petitions... It was all for nothing. I can't believe the fans never saw it; being a community that prides itself with paying attention to details and all.

What am I blabbing about? The last episode of course!

When all that craziness happened, I thought to myself (this can't be! Our queen can't do such!) I'm not here to defend her actions but to point out an obvious misunderstanding.

It wasn't Dany, it wasn't her. Remember how we don't see her again after the bell tolled and she took off with drogon and torched the city. Well apparently, the moment drogon ascended into the sky, our beloved queen lost her balance and fell off the dragon's back.

All that torching was the sole handwork of drogon, Dany had no hand in it. There is even the possibility that she might have hit her head during the fall and therefore died off screen but that's a theory.

Now everyone has labeled her a mad queen, calling her out for committing mass murder and so forth. I on the hand would like to take this opportunity to clear the air concerning these allegations and defend our queen. It is true the city burned due to her arrival, but it wasn't her intention, her intentions were good; it was that beast! The winged shadow... Acting out of fury for loosing both his brothers in this strange land, totally neglecting the feelings of it's mother and acting out of sentiment and pure rage.
