PoliticsRe: Ameachi Denied Access To Govt House by funnyx(m): 8:42am On Sep 13, 2013
chronique: One thing is evident in this country. Nigerians are the architect of their own problems and would continue to be so. The rate at which the mass media is being used to malign the president is so bad. If this continues,we'd have a scenario where future leaders would suffer this same fate in the hands of the opposition and this would not augur well for us as a nation. Those doing this already know that a lot of Nigerians aren't usually objective in their analysis of things and seeing how sentimental Nigerians can be,they'd do all to make the president guilty in the court of public opinion. Majority of the people who comment on this Amaechi/GEJ do not live in Rivers state and probably have little idea about the true state of things. The headline of this article is malicious as there's nowhere where it states that Amaechi was prevented from entering the govt house in the body of the article. But already,a lot of pple have found it easy to attribute the cause of the problem to GEJ. The sad part is that the uneducated ones would read this and report it in a different way to their folks, thereby, causing unnecessary hatred for the president.

Surely it won't end well for GEJ administration, Nigeria has never had it so bad! This impunity is just too much.

Sincere 9gerian: The police authorities are not fools. No one is above the law. If Gov Amaechi engages in acts that infringes on the laws, it is the constitutional responsibility of the police to call the governor to order. No sentiments. However, if the police acted unlawfully in this instance, then the president should sanction whoever was responsible.
At least, we know where part of our our missing 25% or is it 33% of our daily crude oil production (lost in form of theft) goes to. Of course, we know a huge part of it is being saved to stockpile arms ahead of 2015.

To the m.oro.ns supporting these crooks and their principal in Aso-rock, my question goes thus:

We keep hearing it is "your money" since afterall, it was you people who dug the ground and put the crude oil under it. No problem.

NOW, CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW THE LIFE OF THE COMMON MAN IN THE NIGER DELTA HAS BEEN IMPROVED SINCE JONATHAN GOT TO POWER??

Criminality is being rewarded with billions, while the poor continue to be poor. Imagine the superior m.oro.n called Asari_Dokubo saying something to the effect that the common niger-Delta man is happier now just because Jonathan is president. Will happiness send the kids to school or put food on the table?

The corruption in the niger Delta is principally what is responsible for the sorry state of that place today & unfortunately it has worsened under Jonathan. before, only the Governors, NDDC people and overfed agbayas like E.K. Clark & co were the corrupt ones. They had (then hungry) thugs like Dokubo, Okah, Boyloaf & Camp 5 Commander Tompolo & co to check them in to some extent. Now, rather than do what is right for the people, the government decided to formally bring in the thuggish "noisemakers" to Abuja and stuffed their mouth with billions & that is why today, Asari Dokubo has forgotten all about "struggle for my people" and is now focused on "GEJ must win or there will be bloodshed".

Anybody, PARTICULARY FROM THE SS / SE who campaigns for GEJ in 2015 needs to have his/her head checked Period. Action is what is needed & not sentiments. If you have a more qualified candidate from the SS who shows promise & looks like he can deliver, by all means, bring him in. If it is a northern candidate who appears more qualified and really connects with and is ready to improve the lives of nigerians everywhere including the ND, vote him in. If its a SWerner, vote him. "Our son" GEJ has done nothing for the ND. Enugu airport in Enugu, & that is something to brag about after 2 years & billions of dollars in revenue later ? Rubbish.
Thank God for people like you!

PoliticsRe: DELE Momodus Letter To GEJ by funnyx(m): 8:08am On Sep 08, 2013
Interesting article with points that hit the nail on the head. It is very unfortunate that Jonathan surrounded himself with sycophants and political praise singers who are pushing him towards perdition. It is very important for a general to know who to pick fight with, when to attack and when to retreat. A general who picks fight with almost everybody including noise makers will be exhauted by the time the real battle begins.

Hezron Lorraine: remember Elisha's prayer at Jordan,he called on the God of his master-Elijah and there was a miracle.these men are God's instrument on earth.invoking their name carries the same unction as their presence.
Why don't you go back to the time of Elijah/Elisha, making of burnt offerings, avoid eating or touching several 'unclean' stuffs, being stoned to death for committing adultery/fornication, etc.

Back to the topic, I pray and hope that this child is found and also pray that God will strengthen her parents especially at this difficult time.
HealthRe: Tips To Curing Ulcers And Living Healthy by funnyx(m):
@OP
If your peptic ulcer doesn't heal after several rounds of medication its because you're either taking the wrong medication or wrong combination of them.
Amoxicillin is not very effective to treat h.pylori which is the main bacteria preventing your ulcer from healing. Clarithromycin is a better alternative. A triple therapy of:
Clarithromycin 500mg twice daily
Metronidazole 400mg 3 times daily and
Omeprazole 20mg twice daily
All for 2 weeks, followed by 20mg daily dose of Omeprazole for another 2 weeks should be able to clear infection and ensure a smooth healing process.

AnanseK: They Civilian JTF are fighting with the Nigerian security in a war zone and they have helped a lot with local content. The Niger Delta Militants were fighting the government and are now earning huge salaries. The difference is that Civilian JTF are mainly Northerners and therefore second class citizen in present Nigeria .
For real progress however I will advise the government to create ant train a volunteer force out of the CJTF . They should be carefully screened and trained to fight the insurgency in many fronts and can be discharged when the last BH resistance is crushed.

Fitzy4real: A half-baked idea...

Have they considered

1.) The non-yoruba's in public schools or would the language be imposed on them.
2.) How their students will write exams such as common entrance, WAEC, NECO, JAMB etc...
3.) South-westerners in living other geo-political zones of the federation or would they be left behind.

It is a good idea trying to preserve our languages but there are other more important issues facing the South west to be dealt with
Ridiculous post! Next time read the article before making a post, it only going to apply to primary school pupils, do these set of students sit for WAEC, NECO & JAMB?
PoliticsRe: S-west Governors Consider Yoruba As Language Of Instruction by funnyx(m): 10:32pm On Aug 30, 2013
ILIDEFI: Many Yoruba graduates are terrible in English (both in their accents and d use of verbs), despite being taught in schools with English language. Can somebody now imagine how it would b in a couple of years time if dis new plan is implemented?
Let's face facts, dis move is anti-Nigerian. How would a child from another region whose parents come to settle down in d southwest for wateva reason, b expected to cope wen enrolled in primary schools in d southwest, in d event of implementation of dis plan? Are we saying dat ppl must b restricted to their regions? Yorubas, think for Nigeria, for once.
There's nothing anti Nigerian about this plan, our language has suffered enough from English language's domination. No one is stopping other regions from following suit, many kids come to UK without being able to speak a word of English yet they cope so the reasons you gave hold no water.

They're having it so bad already as it is
Honest advice: They should know when to draw the line before the proper 'murdering' of our lingua franca please
I hate it when people make fallacious statement just to show their disdain for others, you called Ibadan and Ogbomoso enclaves? You're very daft for using that statement. If you think we're having it bad with English language how does that affect your miserable life? Why drink panadol for our headache?

Empy v: I pity the poor girl but if i may ask must church services be in a crowded place? Must one travel all the way to ibadan expressway for revival or miracles? I still feel we need to reexamin our brains
Exactly, many Nigerians Christians need to examine their brain, why should we even have 3 million people in one place and believe there will be no incident? Even here in the UK when pastor Adeboyejo came for the festival of life in Manchester I didn't attend though I live in Manchester. I watched the programme online because with 2 young children and a heavily pregnant wife I will not risk going to such a crowded place simply for safety reasons.

obicentlis: @ Op, I have seen this kinda situation. I know somebody that's close to me that's very close with his 'exes' , reason being that he was very good to them when they were friends. Even at the level that one of his ex who resides abroad, is building a 12 flats estate through this guy without letting her own family know or even her husband's family. Even his husband isn't aware of the investment. This guy manages her account in Nigeria.

If this guy needs money, he will call 3 of his ex, and they will furnish his account which he will later pay back .

But this guy has nothing to do with his exes intimately.

They way he treated them and how responsible he was during their time influences their friendship now.

Its possible that nothing is going on between them.
