Pls be careful how u criticize a church especially when you dont have the full facts. Let's be wise pls.
Fact is CEC has helped so many people and has saved so many souls, that is a major achievement and I wonder why nobody is talking about that, why focus only on money.

You pay thithe from what God bless you with , not what you don't have. Except if you misunderstood the guy . Probably he gave personal experience . I once had a personal experience with God as a Corper when I was in need of money and someone gave me 500 or 5,000 I forgot the amount while I was rejoicing for the miracle , I heard the spirit of God spoke to me to give the whole money as a tithe . I did that wedsday evening and 3 days after someone. And from lagos and brought an envelop from my family, I just knew how much would be there and exactly times ten of what I gave.

Now that's a personal experience , I didn't read it anywhere neither was I taught it, but by revelation. It was later in years I heard other people testimony of how they wanted a raise in their salary and they gave a tithe of the amount they desire ahead of time and after 2 or 3 months , their salary was increased to that amount they desired.
These are personal faith work and testimony , someone may share his experience and another person may misunderstand it.
People have borrowed to sow a seed. It's based on personal conviction.

Do u have any evidence that there is no life after death? Simply becos u've not seen/felt something, does it mean the thing does not exist? Ok, they brought two swords to Jesus and He said it is enough (Luke 22:38). Are you telling me Jesus said that only two swords were enough to protect him? Does this sound logical to you? Do you think Jesus felt His disciples would fight the well-trained Roman army with just two swords? This is enough to tell you the swords were not meant to fight the Roman army.

Jesus asked Peter to withdraw his sword and told Peter that He could ask His Father (God) to provide Him with more than twelve legions of angels to protect Him if He needed it (Matt 26: 52-54). Everything happened the way it did cos Jesus came to fulfill the scripture. It had already been prophesied (Matt 26: 54).
Jesus does not need man or weapons to rescue Himself if He had needed to, but if He had done that then the prophesy would have been made a lie

It is so funny and amazing how people are so quick to make up different meanings and significance of the St. Valentine's Day. For your information, historically, the day has nothing to do with giving to the poor or less privileged; it's simply and purely a day lovers use to rekindle their affection for each other.

Well you can try being a jerk and just ignoring her from now on, if she has an ounce of respect for herself she will automatically hate you and move on with life.

Nice suggestions but the problem is she's still gonna hate me which is what I'm trying to avoid. The 3rd suggestions seems good though cos if she gets to dump me then she's not gonna hate me. But problem with smelling is that the smell also gets to those u wouldnt wanna smell bad to such as family, friends and any prospective new girl.
