Never thought this day will come with a delayed Transcript. As i literally slept on this thread for some weeks.

Transcript........ Delayed.

Vo - why are u traveling
Mum- going to see my daughter n soninlaw, they are expecting their first child and would be needing my support with post partum.

Vo- who is sponsoring your trip
Mum- my husband,

Vo didn't even asked to see any document as she was with my dad's bank statement, letter of invite from son inlaw who is legal resident/citizen, hospital letter, marriage cert... etc

Please need help on how to reapply as my sis needs support over there, as she is also schooling.

I am so sorry about the DENIAL (I initially thought it was delayed as in administrative processing...)

If I were the VO, I would wonder why the trip is being sponsored by her husband rather than the family she is going to stay with... after all, she is going to help take care of their baby.

Will her husband also be paying for her feeding in the US? Is her son in law not capable of sponsoring her? Will she then be tempted to work?...

I do think that is why she was denied.

When she reapplies let her mention that her son in law will be sponsoring the trip.

Sorry once again

Hello everyone...silent reader here.

Pls just want to mention a few things about the French TEF exams.

Pls see below.

You will get points for French from CLB 5...anything below CLB 5 is ZERO.

There are 4 abilities just like IELTS, the ranking is:

CLB 5 or 6 - 1 point per ability
CLB 7 or 8 - 3 points per ability
CLB 9 or 10 - 6 points per ability

However if you are able to get CLB 7 and above, in addition to the points stated above you will get an extra 30 or 15 points....depending on your IETLS English CLB scores.

So aim for CLB 7 and above if you are looking for mega points...and you are old like me tongue

Thanks mamaro(o)n grin

Welcome from our other thread tongue
We plenty for here grin

Wish you all the very best.

Bonne Chance

I applied through Abuja embassy.

I am so sorry to hear this...

In the last two years, the rate of refusals for missionary journey visas and post missionary journey renewals in ABUJA has increased.

Our dear Ugoguchy was refused twice in Abuja after having 2 children in the US but eventually got in Lagos. Almost everyone I know who tried to renew in Abuja after childbirth was refused.

It doesn't mean that they don't give visas to women with US citizen children...I did get in the same Abuja but it was a very nerve wracking interview.

Maybe you should try Lagos?
They seem more receptive.

Thanks alot... But I initially provided my mutual funds account reference letter as POF and it took about 5 days for the reference letter to be ready. In order to save time since I just entered Ip1, will it be okay if my wife transfers the top up to my bank account and provide a letter to CIC? That way I will send my bank account statement as additional POF through the webform, instead of topping up my mutual funds again and then waiting for another 5 days before mutual funds will provide another reference letter?

Please, what are your thoughts? Thanks again.

I think you should relax.

Sometimes, they send ADR to show POF... just make sure you have the required amount in your account.

Understood. But in this case, the boss is her mother. What to do?
Hi Estac,

Thanks for giving us something to "discuss" this evening smiley smiley smiley smiley

About the reference letter...
Does the school have a head teacher? Sometimes, the owner is not the head teacher. If yes, the head teacher can write the reference for her.

Alternatively her mother can write for her but she will have to explain that it is family owned. She may have to include some other proof that she really does teach there.

According to IRCC You don't have to meet the “employment requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description.

The employment requirements for each NOC includes the required educational qualifications.

In essence, you can have a degree in fine art and show work experience as an investment banker!

I hope this puts the matter to rest!

Good day all. I am about to start reading up on every page after skimming past. I have few questions, as this will aid my decision to start this process or not.
1) Can Ielts academic be used by my spouse, who is not the principal applicant?
2) A doctor with an MSC, which of the certificate should be evaluated. The MBBS or the MSC?
3) How long is WES evaluation now?

Thank u

You really would need to start by reading the very first page of this thread.

However, I will attempt to answer your second question.

Will you be claiming points for your experience as a Doctor? If Yes, then you'd have to evaluate your medical degree...

the procedure for this is

On the first page of this thread!!!!!!

if, on the other hand, you have a medical degree but have experience working as an investment banker or music teacher smiley then you can evaluate your MSc

Again you do need to visit the first page of this thread.

All the best!

Thanks very much for this wonderful information. I would just stay clear of their schools.

But I have a friend who is already in the US for delivery as well, and she has already enrolled her children in a public school. Although, schools haven’t started yet until August ending, can she still withdraw the children to avoid this “violation” , or the damage has been done already ?

Are her children US citizens?

I think she should actually cancel the enrolment so it is on record that it was cancelled.

Since you are still in Nigeria can you consider going with the 2 year old and leaving the 10 year old? So he/she doesn't miss much in school especially as it is a new session and the child may find it difficult to catch up when you come back after delivery.

You can put the 2year old in a day care and pay for the service.

Are your children Missionary Kids? If they are Missionary kids you really dont have anything to worry about. If they are not you might just need to ensure you follow the requirements of the school for foreigners/international students. But generally, I dont think its really an issue that will affect your visa renewal

Lol@ Missionary kids...

To answer your question @lollipop29

I know someone whose visa was denied because of this same reason- she enrolled her son in a public school for a short period... but you know, we never know the true story...

So I decided to do a quick online search on the topic and saw THIS and many more...

Basically, your children may not be asked their status by the school and may be enrolled without much ado... the problem there is that it is a DIRECT VIOLATION of your B1/B2 visa and you may find it very difficult renewing your visas

Yea, alot of women go for medical tourism in Canada and USA but which airline carry 36 weeks? Most Airline dont carry beyond 28 weeks.

Delta Airline dont have limit but they make one sign indemnity form.

I've been there and talking from experience.

Great!

I am also talking from experience... smiley

Let's not derail the thread with the back and forth...

@safex please make sure to research and check various airline conditions and policies on flying pregnant women.

Thanks for your response. One more question; is it medically advisable for 8 month old pregnant woman to travel to Canada?

Pregnant women travel to US and Canada (from Nigeria) to give birth all the time. Airline policy on pregnant women differ but most will carry up to 36 weeks of pregnancy as long as you can provide a medical report from your doctor that you are fit to fly.

So Yes, it's ok for a pregnant woman to travel to canada at 8 months provided she is having a relatively uncomplicated pregnancy

Fyorgyn how did you resolve your reference letter for POF? My situation is peculiar to yours.

Hi Transformium...

I used my online bank statements and included LOE. I did call Lloyds to ask if I could get a stamped copy but they said that can only be done if I walked into a branch undecided

So, Fingers crossed!

What are GCMS notes, and how do you order them?
GCMS (Global Case Management System) is Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC’s) system used to process applications for citizenship and immigration, tourist visas, student visas and visas under any other program.

Hi O2

However, please also try to include your source(s) as pasting this information (word for word) here is actually plagiarism.

if Tbills are accepted, why not bitcoins?

Tbills are known to be quite stable but cryptocurrencies on the other hand are known to be speculative and there really is no clear legislation on them. The implication is that the value can drop (Or multiply) over night and one can be left with absolutely nothing(or an instant billionaire grin)!

I don't think it can be accepted as POF

Other than Houston looking for SF area as it’s closer by flight to us.

I gave birth in LA... I don't think we have any San Francisco mama. You can search for hospitals in SF and call them to get information on the cost implications for self paying patients.

This new WES requirement is a strong thing o.

Na our social media war about missing WAEC and NYSC certificates. I won't be surprised if they start asking us for NYSC certificate too.

WES should go with their plenty wahala jo.
