A debate is already too late 90% if not 95% of those who want to vote have already made up their mind, the essence of a debate is to espouse the undecided, why debate 10 days to election let me guess to embarrass one or both candidates? Let's face it both men are likely going to goof if they debate I believe GEJ will do worse because he doesn't choose his words wisely (any intelligent person will pick stones in his words, the campaigns and media chats responses are examples) and his team do not help him develop that weakness it gets worse the longer he has to speak. GBM hasn't spoken long enough for his weakness to be properly identified but I think from the 2011 debate I can say his strategy is say as little as possible to trash out the questions. I was an undecided initially but thanks to the media I've made my choice same goes for most undecided electorates. |
slikcipher:When were these trains commissioned? In the 60’s probably if not earlier doing a full overhaul will be waste of resources so they just let them run. The GEJ trains are not bad I think opting for a more fanciful exterior will have done the trick though. |
Strides or the money they will drop after the game? |
All due respect to GMB but I think he is promising too much than our national purse can carry. From the latest Forbes statistics a coal fired power plant of 750mw running on an efficiency of 71% costs $2.5billion, an hydro electric power plant of 600mw costs $3billion, a nuclear power plant of 1000mw capacity with 91% efficiency costs $7billion. Our external reserve is merely $30billion. The question is how do we bank roll a 22000mw plant in 4 years with the forecast on oil prices? By borrowing or what? I appreciate their enthusiasm and zeal to solve the power problems but 5000mw a year is an Eldorado. This is one of the things prof soludo was trying to pass across to Nigerians in his letter on the state of the economy they can't promise us a journey to space with a lean purse |
You just started getting to know who he really is. |
History merely repeats itself until men learn from history and take adequate steps to change it. |
We need to build a sustainable health insurance structure in this country, I mean if this man hadn't graced the screen of or TV would he be looked at a second time? Secondly is it that our actors live an unhealthy life style or what exactly is the correlations with them and organ failure? I think this should be one of their associations demand to who ever they support at both federal and state levels, not merely what individuals can get |
Just the preparation of the hall I watched on the news. had the stench of FG written all over it. A repeat of the 2011 NTA debate will be highly unfortunate and with GMB exit from the debate we have got ourselves same 2011 debate. What we could have done different was a geopolitical zone debate as the campaign trains were in motion handled by the political science departments of universities like uniben Abu unilag unilorin unzik etc there are halls in the universities and sufficient professional to craft questions. The fact is a sitting president can't fail a debate organised by his associates as employees. |
The result wasn't compromised AIT only has a weak IT team, what measures were put in place to make sure that people don't vote more than once? or wasn't it envisaged that something like this could happen? a few of my friends abroad refused to take the polls as a result of a possible occurrence of this incident. |
Its a good thing you accept that you have a problem half of the problem is solved already by this realisation. I assume you are sincere about getting a solution, so here it goes you have to first truely repent and ask God to forgive you. Secondly you have to replace the through of sex in your head with other profitable things, the reason you want sex always is because you always think about sex. I would suggest that yo go past reading the bible to meditation on the what you read for say an hour a day, by meditation I mean saying the word to yourself and thinking of the word. Thirdly you need to do what you have meditated on act on the word I.e don't commit fornication or join yourself with a harlot. Meditating makes doing the word easier. Fourthly you need to stay away from ever person, place, material, gadget that feeds you with the thought of sex. I would have advised you get married but if your wife travels and you have a urge will you then go to a harlot? You have to control your emotions and not let your emotions control you and the only way to do that is by renewing your mind with the word of God. Your body is the temple of God and you defile that temple when you sleep around have this thought anytime the sex though comes further more the bible say wat so ever you do word or did do it to the glory of God so wen ever you drop your pant just say God im doing this to your glory. God bless you |
The message is more or less to Nigerians than the two political gladiators. If we go along with GEJ and his team for the next 4 years will there be any likely change as the people in the bus are still the same therefore we shouldn't expect a different stench? Or do we go for GMB and his change team knowing that the task ahead is great and four years might not be sufficient enough to clear the current mess we are in hence they might be raged failure? There is one thing in common with soludo's point of view and OBJ which is GEJ is not on the driver's seat or better still many people are struggling for the wheel this has resulted in us being in an unknown destination and frequency in accidents. We can't go another 4 years this way if GEJ wins he has to be on the drivers seat get the wrong people off the bus and the right people on the bus as he can see those that know economy have rubbished his purported economic achievements as I have always believed GEJ can be the best president we have ever had but that does not come by cheap publicity or praise singers it comes by hard work. GMB and his team will need to go beyond election figures and statistics to planning to govern a nation cos should they win more will be expected from them than the GEJ admin and they will feel the sting of uneasy lies the head that wears the crown, it won't be about getting the best team but getting the best team that can achieve results in the fastest time if by now GMB doesn't have an idea of who his key cabinet members and what their roles will be he is already too late and already a step to failure.the time is short and the responsibility enormous, anti corruption is just a piece of the problems creating prosperity by reducing poverty is a huge task. I just hope GMB knows what he is getting himself into and is prepared for it. Overall we need to as citizens properly scrutinise these gladiators to know who the cap fits, I wish we could have series of debates and not just 1 golden debate. |
hotgunz:lets not be hasty in judgement here GEJ controls our security forces how come they didn't protect our number 1 citizen? these are questions that the IGP needs to answer. its best we all go with what is right irrespective of our partisan affiliations your comment is inciting in tone, we need not trade blames what is wrong is wrong be it party PDP or Party APC or Party Labour no one needs be stoned because they belong to a different paradigm we need to learn to tolerate ourselves and not issue retaliatory threats two wrongs don't make a right do sooner we all learn the better for our collective existence. |
these political intolerance needs to stop we cant resolve to jungle justice everytime we are wronged. we really don't have security agencies in this country or a selected few are above the law else someone won't be instigating war and secession. where is DSS now oh? |

Neco was created in 1999, how come it is stated in a certificate dated 1961? |
The question is can this woman assault her own child like this irrespective of the offence? Do to others as you will have them do to you |
I do hope Fayose finishes his tenure this time. To GEJ, if you win a second term people like Fayose will give you problems so be ready for battle just a statement they don't like will kindle the fire. |
What a false story Bishop Oyedepos spiritual father is pastor EA Adeboye, they have been in connection for over 30 years. What exactly can GEJ give the bishop to throw away that relationship? Let me guess, going to heaven, unfortunately that is not for him to give. This story is bunk false. By the way don't tell them I told u ooo the bishop is a fan of GMB |
We don't want to know about buhari of if he bought a pin you are our president render account for your stewardship simply tell us: what happened to the subsidy offenders, the missing $20billion, the promised uninterrupted electricity, the promised modular refineries, what happened to the non corrupt thieves looting our treasure? The real reason why you facilitated the imprisonment of mend leader overseas? When will our girls return? When will the terrorist attacks stop? What progress has been made since the procurement of new arms for the military? What policies are in place to facilitate the growing unemployment in the nation? These are what Mr President needs to be talking about not giving himself a distinction score card by the way thats the job of all citizens of Nigeria, or taking a swipe on the opposition. The upcoming elections is not about any one political party or candidate it is all about how to make Nigeria a sustainable prosperous nation, the key being policies for growth and development in every facet of the country. |
I keep a date with pastor bakare programme every Sunday and I was quite disappointed channels TV cut it off. Pastor Tunde bakare has always been like this even during the military era for us to be surprised will be to live in a fools paradise. The question is did he say anything that was false or beyond the obvious? From my point of view he didn't, the level of dissatisfaction is sky rocketing Nigeria, our children kidnapped from their school and turned to terrorist, young girls strapped with explosive these are too much to take let's not go to the corruption in our finances. I would implore more pastors, imams, scholars etc to start talking since we are bankrupt of community leaders. |
MadCow1:Have you ever heard of melchizedek? I will suggest you read hebrews 7 |
Have you ever heard of melchizedek? I will suggest you read hebrews 7 Abraham never paid tithe...
|
I always did wonder why the father prosperity message Rev Kenneth hagin didn't write about first fruit in his books most especially the Midas touch, then I stumbled on one of his messages which he stated some facts about the subject one of which was us being careful about the old and new covenant for instance the subject of tithe was mentioned in the old testament and even Jesus said we out to give it (luke11:42) also it hebrews makes refrence to abraham giving tithe but the new testament is unusually quiet about first fruit as regards financial and material goods giving. Further more we are told to in the old testament to bring the first fruit to the priests, but we do not need a priest in the new testament as God has already made us kings and priest remembering that the duty of priest was to offer sacrifice to God for the people and convey their prayers to God, the new covenant has made us sit at home and pray to God directly. The acts of the apostles outlines the activities of the early church and it talks about different forms of giving like sacrificial giving such as ananias and his wife did wrongly giving to the poor, offering etc. The first born of an animal and a woman (exodus 22:29) was considered as first fruit and they were to be given unto the Lord and they could be redeem that is the first male child I pretty much have not seen any child being given as a first fruit, I wonder why we are selective as regards giving money but not first born son. As Christians we need to study our bible and not be swayed by any doctrine my pastor gave me the insight into why I don't need to pay first fruit and I went to research further. I do give first fruit not because I'm not informed enough to know that it is not an obligation but because I love God and I like to do something nice for him no matter how small it might be and also He loves a cheerful giver. My mentality while giving is that I'm giving to God and not my pastor and He will not forget my labour of love, but I also choose wisely as a farmer least I scatter my seeds on rocks, thongs, and the way side, Kingdom advancement, evangelism and rural mission are some of the best soils to sow ones resources as they bring light to darkness. |
Two things bros, that guy is no friend of yours, secondly your babe aint no girlfriend.go get friends that stick closer than a brother and avoid comprising events and places. sibepoc: |
That's the thing about Nigeria every thing exist in paper. How many employment has the automotive industry created so far? Their production are pretty much skeletal, go to Nissan and pan and check out how many cars are rolled out daily. The inoson guy I is doing pretty well though. Further more methodologies like just in time, TPS and lean manufacturing have slashed the need for manpower in automobile manufacturering. As big as the Toyota brand is they have only 333000 consolidated employees, 46000 being main employees. With all the prospective auto investors we can't get up to 30000 direct employment which is overly optimistic. If I were his adviser I would have advised that he built our steel industries that has a higher prospect in creating graduate and artisan jobs to the tune of millions. Our problems are past using a bucket to draw water we need to start piping it. |
GEJ needs to provide the required leadership for the PDP as their national leader, the whole problem started from his endorsement as sole candidate, he should have rejected it after all he will have still won if they went on for a primarys now a few people have taken advantage of the situation. |
Children don't read, parents don't have time to check their wards academic progress and depend on a report card. What will the future hold for individuals who are poorly educated? Entertainment does not build a nation education does, we have to reduced the TV and the socialisation of our children and put a book in their hands we have to increase the reward system for academic achievement. |
They keep mixing religion which everything, most people didn't even take not of the most important point raised that the present government has admitted to not have solved the power problems a contrast to what GEJ said on CNN. If they couldn't get their acts together for 4 years what is the probability of them not doing same if given another 4 years? |
As usual our politicians make statement to divide us and as usual we fall for the bait, PDP sold us something and my fellow countrymen are auguring back and front on the validity of the statement. Its sad that we can't scientifically evaluate development and have to resort to religion, ethnicity, and blackmail. |
Looking at the source of this info its reliability is in question, further more if we pay 108 people this much we would have gone broke ages ago, we know that they collect a huge chunk of our recurrent expenditure but blow it put of proportion does no justice to the problem. |
Look this things are no rocket science the questions most important to ask is as Nigerians, are our lives better after 4years of pdp/GEJ ticket? The fact is we have not given GEJ a score card but his people have forced score cards down our throat via the media. Do we have electricity? What is the state of security? Are our youths empowered with jobs? Have we lived better lives since 2011? Is there still oil theft? Is there wide spread corruption? These are questions that should influence our decision for continuity or change, since 1960 we keep majoring on the minor and minoring on the major. Some of the funny things this government does is their escalation of MOUs, well MOUs don't equal built industries or power plants or other forms of development its a mere piece of paper more than 3/4 of them don't materialise. Thats not to say they have done something, the you win policy is a good one I just wished they had partnered with private sector as form of CSO thereby making it real big, the automotive policy too is a good One but they have to compel Nigerians to buy these cars more and not just government agencies, the rice processing a big plus too and some other few The question is are these achievement a mere drop of water in a possibility of streams of water? Has the development of the GEJ administration been comesurate with the resources at its disposal? Have their policies been people centred? Have they been able to reach the populace of Nigeria? Let the answers to important questions judge our decision come 12 February 2015 |
This is the problem with us Africans, these white folks comment on our everything and we swallow it hook line and sinker, can u imagine Cyril stober of NTA commenting on the democrat or Republican primaries and his comments blown up by an American? Because it one favours you doesn't give you the right to take a hundred. Let them mind their business and let us mind ours b4 we know they will say we should come take IMF or world bank loan an small small him dey start. |
