NwekeUG:We emphasised about structure but they claimed the people are their structure. Party structure involves not just having polling unit agents, but the polling unit agents give live report to your situation room, a snap shot of the polling unit result sheet and overall outcome in the polling unit. These results are compiled by wards, LGA and states. Polling unit agents are not just road side guys they are trained. It will be near impossible to analyse the BVAS results, correlate it with the PU result sheet, carry out a forensic audit of election material in a year. PDP is in a more healthier position to challenge the outcome of the results.Just listening to Dino's arguments it is clear he is correlating the announced results with the results in PDP situation room. should LP want to contest this election, they don't have a claim in the 3 northern geopolitical zones, their argument is limited to SS and SW which is not enough to win the election. The winner was decided in the NW, LP had a poor outing there. |
Delphi:Can we have the breakdown of the 19 states Peter Obi won? If you can add the numbers also, that will be great. |
Cletus77:I think you need to look at the Edo election from the perspective of data. In 2015 total votes were a little shy of 500k, in 2019 a little more than 500k and now in 2023 it's 581k. Progression wise the numbers make sense, if you add 100k votes to Obi, the sequence of voters will be an anomaly. |
Politics is about building alliances, they don't agree with you, you move to the next, no time to argue or fuss, or abuse or crate enemies. Peter Obi, understands this he has led by example, visiting every Tom, Dick, and Harry irrespective of their personal disposition. That is why it takes to win, the undecided voters are plenty, they are to be convinced not bullied. |
Ekemini11:who are all these clowns with all these funny stats? like 60%? really? It ok to push for any candidate but allocating 60% to one candidate is preposterous. We have not had an election with 3 equally strong candidates with colossal followership. A 40% win is more believable. |
PlayMaker14:You need to look at it from the perspective of time based value. The POS operator spends 12 hours to get cash, it isn't economical to collect 100 naira for 10,000 naira. The POS agents are not the problem, CBN and the commercial banks are the problem. Increase supply and the whole problem disappears. |
nlfpmod:You can't join different people with different ideology on a map with a pencil. Many of the problems we face as a nation is tied to the inability of some components of what has been joined as a nation to evolve. The man from the northeast considers the man from Chad & Niger as his brother, hence he will open up his boarders to him, but in actual sense they belong to different countries. The man from Lagos see's the man from Benin repb as a neighbor, the man from cross river sees the man from Cameroon as a neighbor and nothing more. A part of the merged nation believes in capitalism, the other part believes in socialism. Let me let you on a secret, one of the reasons for epileptic power supply in the country is that some folks believe they don't have to pay for electricity and the government ensures they get it for free to curtail unrest. I personally think that some of the rising young stars still don't get what is going on. As long as they remain in their location, the harassment won't stop. The cure to such harassment is wealth and power. Go out and get of location and get it, then come back and change things. They are presently too weak to even spark a conversation. |
StoriesUpdate:Reformation is ideological. Executive order can't solve an ideological problem. |
ShowYourCertificate:I travelled to a state capital today, I have moved from an end of the city to another and I haven't seen as much as a leaflet of Labour party. |
fakum:You guys are dealing with an addiction here, the sooner you deal with it the better for your relationship. You might be tempted to overlook it or think it doesn't matter, but you need to understand that masturbation in marriage is like a car with a flat tyre, the more you run on flat, the worse the tyre gets and if not given the required attention it will destroy the rim and cause a total halt of the car. It's only a matter of time before you both start to resent each other, remember one of the reasons for marriage is to help service the needs of one's partner. You guys should sit down and talk about it and get professional help if QUICKLY. |
dre11:This is the smartest thing to do, the minute you give one person DNA samples, different children would start popping up everywhere. If you really want to be reconciled with your claimed father, don't do it in public, you and your mother should speak to elders in your family, they will know how to go about it. |
Gudfadah:I think you, goofed not telling your present wife the status of your adopted daughter. A status that is already an open secret in the family, it was only a matter of time before she found out. Before a marriage is consummated, it is required that all information about the partners involved is brought to the table. There is a possibility she wouldn't have agreed to your proposal if she knew that your first daughter isn't your biological child. You took her power of choice away and the result is the problem you are presently experiencing. It is clear that there is an underlining problem with your wife, you have to find out what that problem is. But first off, start by apologizing for withholding information from her, then ask what exactly the problem is. Is she threatened by your daughter? Are there too many mouths to feed? Is it a case of sharing inheritance when you die? Is it a nonhospitable to strangers syndrome? .......etc. you need to find out. if you are not getting to her, get professional help from a therapist or counselor. Your daughter also needs to see someone, it's a whole lot to find out that the one you called father is not a biological father. Depending on what information your wife divulges, you will have to negotiate for peace to reign, and part of that negotiation will involve apologizing to your daughter. Don't make rash decisions until you have exhausted all options for settling the problem amicably, separating your family will likely make things worse at the moment, that is not to rule out controlled separation, a therapist might advise on it depending on how things go. I will overall suggest you go see a counselor ASAP because it seems your wife is out for blood. You can reach out to ''Institute Of Family Engineering And Development'' '0803 726 9483' and see if you can schedule an appointment. God bless you and may your family come out stronger from this situation. |
ijustdey:As much as I'm not in support of truce breaking, out lecturers need to behave smarter than the government. There are better ways of pressing ones demand than an industrial action. You didn't work for eight months why should you be paid? A better way of going about it will have been to teach the students, examine them but don't release their results. This alone will cause a graduation crisis, NYSC crisis, labor market crisis. The students and their guardians will be the once pressing governments neck. As a lecturer you can't be accused of not working. |
benjackugo:The health system is no different from the education system. You can't subsidize the rates of training in these sectors and not expect it to affect manpower renumeration. What do we expect when someone is trained for close to free? We need to start with a better package pay for our health workers and Lecturers. After which we increase the cost of their training. Then we can have different bodies like NMA, hospital board, government, private sector etc give student loans. With conditions of practicing a minimum of 7 years in Nigeria after specialization or however long it will take to payback the loan. |
unstoppable51:First of all, tithing is not by force, it is by choice. There is a blessing tied to every for of giving, the blessing of giving is not exclusively for tithing. In the new testament, as long as you confess the lordship of Jesus, every thing a Christian has now belongs to Christ, that is what the scriptures means when it says we belong to Christ we are no longer our own. Now the advice on how to give is expressivly revealed in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, we are to give as our heart prompts us and not under compulsion. We should also remember that giving is like planting a crop, the more land we cultivate the more the returns. so the more we give, the more the opportunity to receive. Another problem we have is that we see the church as a one dimension institution, when in reality it is two dimensions. The church is first a spiritual house, then is is an organisation. Every organisation need employees to run it's affairs, they need a steady cashflow, they require funds to plan activities, projects and programs. If we left everyone to decide how they gave in church the church as an organisation will suffer. So we church leaders deemed it fit to borrow a template from the old testament that worked called tithing. If every Christian gave a certain percentage of their income regularly it will be easy to plan how funds are utilised. Make no mistake about it, pushing the gospel of Christ is expensive. Personally speaking, I think 10% is small. |
teamc:Only you can answer that question, some people assume that people change as a result of opportunities and resources. I say people are who they are, resources and opportunities only reveal that identity. So the question is who are you married to? A kind compassionate fellow or arrogant and pompous or weak and impressionable? Secondly, a relocation takes a toll on relationships, irrespective of how strong they are. A lot of proper planning is required to sustain such a relationship. something like communication while apart needs to be planned, it's not the 'I missed you I called plan' ooo. We talk 15min every day on weekends we video call and talk for at least 2 hrs sort of plan. Finance has to also be planned, managing your intimate needs has to be discussed, parenting your child has to be planned etc. I really don't like single relocation, it takes a toll on relationships, secondly, there are no guarantees of bringing the family on the other side to be with you. Make sure you don't resort to fear because fear makes you make bad decisions. |
aminulive:The governors are the ones that fund the presidential candidates usually, naturally, there are going to be some funding issues. Of the 6 wealthiest states in Nigeria, Atiku only has the support of Delta state, Rivers and Oyo are against him, and Lagos, Imo, and Kano are APC states. Even in the Delta state, the governor won't empty the vault unless he is certain his election is sure. |
dre11:The G5 understand that if Atiku wins, they are in deep shit, so they have to ensure he doesn't win. The problem here is simple, Wike is the playground bully, when the playground was in disarray, he restored order to the playground. Now Atiku used his money to buy people on the playground, thereby bullying the bully. Wike is not having it and is fighting back to stake his claim on the playground, the only way he can do this is to ensure that Atiku doesn't win. Atiku is not as politically savvy as I thought, I expected that he will reach out to Wike's godfather in the person of Peter Odilli, and broker a deal that will include the appointment of Wike's wife to the supreme court. But is too late now. |
socialmediaman:What is the purpose of a presidential debate? A presidential debate targeted at winning over undecided voters. In Nigeria we have turned it into a ploy to embarrass a candidate, and we sincerely hope that our candidates opponents messes up. We did it for Jonathan in 2011, we did it for Buhari in 2015 and now it's Tinubu and Atiku, to what end? The results of the presidential elections debate you watch on TV is a product of extensive preparation by both political parties, it's not wake up and show up in the studio. I make bold to claim that the candidates already know the questions they will be asked already Secondly, who should organise a presidential debate? The US presidential debat used to be controlled by civil society organisations butas a result of differences it didn't work out. As of today presidential debates are controlled by a commission of presidential debate whose members are the two most dominant political parties in America. CNN or fox news doesn't conduct presidential debate. The reason being that they are favourably disposed to a candidate or party. It's not an open secret that Arise TV and it's anchor Ruben Abati is favourably disposed to a candidate. If I were a candidate I will boycott, because the whole show is just like that university lecturer that has vowed you won't pass his module, even if I get an A he will down grade it to D. |
Islie:Afenifere is just a social-cultural group with little or no influence in the south west. They used to be a potent group that crowned all the southwest governors in 1999 but two things happened. Firstly, Tinubu rebelled against them, and they almost had him impeached but pa Abraham Adesanya pleaded on his behalf after which Tinubu obliterated them from Lagos politics. The second thing that happened is that they were convinced by Obasanjo to support his second term bid even though Tinubu advised that they have their own candidate after getting info from Atiku, and contest against Obasanjo, they all supported Obasanjo and they faced another wave of Obliteration in the remaining southwest states. Tinubu now set out to obtain the power that Afenifere has by securing all the southwest states. Pa Adabanjo never forgave Tinubu for how toothless he made Afenifere, it is even rumored that Pa Abraham Adesanya died of the heartache of the situation. |
[quote author=ganisucks post=117926978]The 2023 election is between Peter Obi and others. - Kenneth Okonkwo, Labour Party chieftain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvyUS6k3HxA people should be building strong alliances they are making braggadocios statements. Peter Obi is working really hard to build alliances but some of his followers who ought to be doing the same are arrogantly manufacturing election result figures or trying to suppress anyone who doesn't support their agenda. If indeed you are Obi's structure put in the work of a structure. |
CoronaVirusRelo:The only live line Labour party has is the possibility of Peter Obi winning the election. Should he not win labour party will die. Only a foolish outgoing governor will join labour party because it's political suicide. Should Peter Obi win, it is very likely he will decamp to PDP. |
NaijaRoyalty:Let's be technical about this problem, it's an inherited problem and if we have to blame anyone for this problem, we should blame president Obasanjo who thought it wise to centralise electricity despite the fact that it hasn't worked for us for decades. The national assembly has graciously passed a bill to decentralise the electricity sector, they forwarded this bill to the state houses of assembly only eleven states have passed it, the remaining 25 are insisting on state police before they pass it. We should be going after these states of assembly who are refusing to pass this bill. Security is important, but it is presently not a low hanging fruit, let's get nourishment from the low hanging fruit first. If we combine all the brain power of all our presidential candidates together and the laws that control our electricity sector doesn't change, we will still experience these problems. The problem is a legislative problem not an executive one. How can one generate electricity in Delta and send the same electricity to Kano via Osogbo? There is just too many points of failure. |
oikirodah:Candidates need a press team that help them prepare for appearance to the the press. This will save much embarrassment, the also need to be coached on questions deflection. |
baralatie:Yes, if Nigeria had their own dam they would have released the water gradually thereby controlling the flood. |
Gentino:I gathered that there was an agreement between Nigeria and Cameroun to both build dams in 1980. Cameroun built theirs but Nigeria had a coup that brought Buhari to power, and that dam became history. Cameroun had no choice, its either they opened the dam or the dam got totally destroyed, they choose their Interest. |
Alphafeezay:Lol! court belongs to government yet efcc are losing cases up and down. Dangote cement claim that they invited them and they tendered evidence, they were waiting for the report of the enquiries only for the government to wake up one morning shut down the livelihood of 25,000 people, instigate the public against the biggest employer of labor in your state. |
Alphafeezay:Were is the evidence of the agreement? If they had it they would go straight to court and not resolve by the court of public opinion. Kogi State should get their own house in order by doing some serious investigation within. |
Stephen2324:A bigger question will be "why can't our young ladies be made women? Why must they be subject to the status of a man? |
Alphafeezay:The Kogi State governor has failed to show proof that it owns 10% stake in Dangote cement. Obajana cement sold to Dangote was only in paper. Some questions on the true existence of obajana cement needs to be answered: Where is the plant location of Obajana cement? Who are it's former staff? The ten years prior to Dangote coming on the picture what products were produced? The company had no product, no equipment, no operations no factory. Why would a person who develops all these give Kogi State 10%? If the problem in question is a CSR problem, let it be handled as such but let's not spin it to an ownership tussle. It's barely 8 months to the end of the tenure of the sitting government, much can only be imagined about their motives. |
Can the Kogi government state the value assets and liabilities sold to Dangote Industrial Limited? It's very likely that the obajana deal wasn't transparent but let's not pretend that they sold a thriving factory to Dangote. Some sources claim that that Obajana cement only existed on paper. |
The company was ceded to Dangote in the first place because the government couldn't run the business. All this drama is unnecessary, if the contract is faulty simply renegotiate. If the asset is transferred back to Kogi state it will become moribund in 2 years. |
