Chikolo24: Thanks bro..please guide me..which one is Nahco
Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO)
Muhammed Airport Rd, Ikeja, Lagos 102214, Lagos
Their office is just after the international flyover bridge Ambode built. When you enter the gate, you drive down the road, after DHL office, you will see the main Nahco gate and their warehouse on your left. Just talk to an agent sending goods to your brothers province.
Chikolo24: I already tried sending to him via DHL...it has gotten to Canada but for close to a week now, no update no feedback. They requested for clarification on the drug because I initially stated that they were supplements. I have responded to them even attached a document which he used in getting the drugs free here in Nigeria before he traveled, still no update. We don't now if it will be delivered to him or rejected. Or is there another menas of sending it?
Dude what's wrong with you? How will you send it via DHL? My guy buy garri, fish, poundo, spice etc put 2 or 3 bottles of the medicine inside the box, go to Nahco and send it to Canada. Don't over do it but putting a box full of medicine oh, just 2 or 3 bottles.
I can't fully comprehend why some people are complaining, we exchanged $28b value of crypto in 12 calender month, the effects of which are manufacturing companies can't buy raw materials, sick people can't seek treatment, importers are stranded, students can't pay school fees, hyper inflation etc.
Corrections: In Christianity, the importance of tithing can not be ignored. God instructed Christians to bring 10th of their total income to his storehouse or temple.
However, in today's modern world, people no longer give animals or material things as Tithe (not that it is forbidden) but instead all have been monetized.
One may wonder and ask the following questions:
* Why do Christians have to bring their TITHES to God's storehouse or temple?
* What is God's understanding of a store house or temple?
* Can one give his/her TITHE to parents or people if they are in need?
WHY DO CHRISTIANS HAVE to bring their TITHE to God's storehouse/ temple?
Malachi 3:10
New Living Translation Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test.
Just as it is written in the scripture, we give TITHE so that there will be enough in the temple or store house of God.
WHAT IS GOD'S UNDERSTANDING OF STOREHOUSE/ TEMPLE?
The scripture gives us a clear idea of God's understanding on what a storehouse/ temple is. In the scripture we can classify God's understanding of a storehouse/ temple as the following:
* Store house/ temple view by God as a Physical man made structures.
* Store house/ temple view by God as a human body (that is spirit with a soul)
STOREHOUSE/TEMPLE VIEW BY GOD AS A "PHYSICAL MAN MADE STRUCTURE"
Here God views a temple or storehouse as a structure built by man. It is always physical in nature.
Ezra 1: 3
New International Version Any of his people among you may go up to Jerusalem in Judah and build the temple of the LORD, the God of Israel, the God who is in Jerusalem, and may their God be with them.
1Chronicles 28:3 New International Version But God said to me, ‘You are not to build a house for my Name, because you are a warrior and have shed blood.’
Here we can clearly see that God is referring a house/temple as a man made structure.
STOREHOUSE/TEMPLE VIEW BY GOD AS A HUMAN BODY (THAT IS SPIRIT WITH A SOUL)
Here, God does not view a storehouse or temple as a physical man made structure but rather he views it as a human body that has a soul and a spirit.
1Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV),
He asks, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
John 4: 21-23
21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit (the spirit is inside the body) and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
Here Jesus was trying to tell us that our body will be the temple where God will be worshipped which confirms that God also sees our body as a storehouse/ temple.
Matthew 12:43-45
43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there (because they see it just as God sees it as a house too) And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
Here, Jesus is referring to human's body (that has a spirit and a soul) to be a house where demons could dwell or live. It opens our eye to the fact that God who is a spirit also sees our human physical body as a temple/house.
CAN ONE GIVE HIS/ HER TITHE TO PARENTS OR PEOPLE IF THEY ARE IN NEED?
Now, that we understand how God sees or defines a " storehouse or temple", we can now proceed to answering the question. The following are the 3 reasons why you can give your TITHE to your parents or people if they are in need.
* Jesus says in mark7:11-12
Mark7:11-12 New international Version 11 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)— 12 then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. 13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”
Here, Jesus was telling the people how wrong they were when they refused to help their parents with things (including tithe) they had dedicated to give God when they were seriously in need. If your parents are in serious need of money and you could help them with your tithe (because that is what is left to help) but told them "you rather give the money to God as tithe than them", Jesus says you are wrong.
* Your parents/ people are temple or storehouse (spirits that live in body with soul) of God by scriptures.
Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV),
He asks, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!!
This article is written to let us see from scriptures (bible) view that while it good to take our tithe to physical house of God we should not also condem the fact that humans body is also seen by God as a temple or storehouse in which we can invest our tithe in if they are in need of it after we have given every other things.
Meanwhile,, Jesus is waiting for you because jesus is the messiah the world is waiting so connect with him today! !!!
HOW TO CONNECT WITH JESUS
Your body is the house of God is it clean or dirty? You can make it clean by connecting to Jesus today.
John14:6 Jesus told him ' I am the way- Yes, and the truth and the life. No one can GET to the father (GOD) except by means of me (JESUS ).
Say lord Jesus am sorry for the sins have committed and today I accept you as the son of God and as my lord and personal savior. Help me to follow you now and for ever more. Amen!!!
Your submission is incorrect, God never instructed Christians to pay tithe. You are mistaking Jewish law with Christianity. The law given to Christian is cheerful generous giving.
I think the biggest issue that has brought about the whole tithe arguement is the inability to understand that the church operates as a spiritual house and an organisation at the same time.
Proponent of the spiritual house refuse every structure to giving and expect God to provide for his church while proponents of church organisation believe that some form of giving structure has to be put in place to ensure planning and smooth running of the church.
Every organisation requires some form of fixed income or cash flow to run seamlessly, what the church has done is to incorporate a system that worked for the Jewish community to help the church run smoothly. If you commit to be a part of this system, you can't in anyway give your tithe to another cause because the church is depending on it to get things done. Give the church what you have commited to giving it and your parents what you have commited to giving them.
TITHEING is not by force! The biggest gift God has given mankind is salvation and it is far greater than tithe, that same salvation is not by force it is a choice so is tithe. However, God loves a cheerful giver, and we are encouraged to give to all especially to those of the household of faith which is the church.
Mrperfecto: I will just be brief without writing too much.
We are based we have 4 children, my first child is 13 from my previous relationship, she has become very terrible, she doesn't listen to me or my wife. She tells her that she is not her biological mother and she cannot control her. She had threatened to call the police on my wife telling her if she touch her she will fight her back and call the police. She goes to school and closes at 3.45 her school is 10 mins walk from home, but she is always late for home.
She comes home around 6 sometimes 7pm , as I am writing now every friday she closes at 12.30 but she is still hasn't come back home yet.
I am on my way to work. I start at 6.30pm till 2.30am so I rarely get to see her and she only misbehaving when I am not around. So far we have seized her phone because we had found so many inappropriate messages exchanges between her and boys. We had also removed the TV from her room and her behaviour has gotten worse. She is behaving like she's possessed.
My wife and I are fed up. Even her siblings are tired of her. We want to send her back to Nigeria maybe in a boarding school until she is 18 in order to protect her younger ones. If we keep her and she continues with her terrible behaviour I may beat her badly and we may end up loosing all 4 children to the authorities.
Please what advice will you give to me concerning this issue?
Understanding how to help your daughter will require more information. First of all how was and is your relationship with her mother? Does she still have contact with her? You operate a blended family, do you even understand the dynamics of a blended family? Depending on when your wife became a guardian to your daughter, they should blend together either on a mother to daughter level or a guardian to ward level, a resistance in authority is a big indicator that you just assumed that things will be fine without creating a working system to make them fine.
You can decide to send her to Nigeria with the hope that hardship will cure her, but it's 50-50. I will advise you get a family life professional that you all can see so as to get to the root of the matter, she has some grievances that needs healing. You need to do it ASAP because of the phase of training she is in.
I'm not sure why people support coups, if we look across Africa over time, we will realise that coup government haven't made the lives of citizens of any country better. Coup starts with them selling hope of a better future, then they taste the resources of the country, after which normalizaton occurs. Africa needs to find better ways of governing themselves and this better way starts with the administration of criminal justice.
Our governors are the biggest problem we have, they do close to nothing. Building roads and bridges is not work, a 100level student given the finances can award contracts to build infrastructure, our governors don't control security apparatus, they don't lobby for investment into their states, they don't protect businesses in their environs, they don't control mineral resources. WHAT PRODUCTIVE THING EXACTLY DO OUR GOVERNORS DO? Since Tinubu became president, their allocation have increased, what are they doing with these resources. A citizen is more likely to build prosperity under a working governor than a working president. It is agreed that our constitution ties cuts off one of the arms of a governor, but what about the other arm?
buharibanjo: The 2023 CAF African Cup of Nations ended on Sunday night on a disappointing note for Nigeria’s Super Eagles as they lost the trophy to the host nation, Ivory Coast.
The Ivorians won 2-1 against Nigeria, courtesy of goals from Franck Kessie and Sebastien Haller who helped The Elephants clinch their third AFCON trophy.
Below is the full list of awards given at the AFCON:
Ecobank Best Goalkeeper Ronwen Williams – South Africa
Air Côte d’Ivoire Fair Play Team award South Africa
I thinks we need to get rid of the Nigerian coach B4 the world cup. We need to get a proper NO 10 and a defensive midfielder or hope that Ndidi will be fit by then. We have the most prolific No9 in the world but no adequate midfield to feed him. Iwobi can't play 10, those shoes are too big for him to fill, we couldn't hold the ball and drive in, we had to resort to short passes that we eventually lost the ball. If I were the coach I would have gotten wingers to run on the flangs and cross thereby reducing pressure on the middle.
The dollar scarcity issue is a reflection of our productivity as a nation. Chinese people do not look to their government for Forex, they make what the world needs and earn Forex. Swiss sells chocolates and luxury goods to earn Forex. Nigerians don't want to sell anything to the world or even buy local produce but expect their president to some how make Forex available. Out of 10 ships that berth in our ports only one goes back with goods. To satisfy our consumption appetite we need to earn commensurate Forex.
We all know the problem, how do we solve it in a non textbook manner. I run a manufacturing business, we have 3 phase equipments and voltage sensitive single phase equipments. For months now we don't get complete 3 phases and even the single phase is not 220v. So to run efficiently, we have to do so on diesel, that alone has taken the competitive edge. Manufacturing is not about being indigenous, it's about how competitive you can be, the main reason multinational manufacturing plants are closing down is because they can't effectively compete in global space.
Attach the death penalty to kidnapping, we have treated this thing too long with kid gloves. These new guys are purposely kidnapping multiple individuals and killing one of their victims to create urgency, it's a purposeful change of kinetics, they know what they are doing. This is the new one they want to use to keep president Tinubu busy, they better give them fire for fire else it would go out of hand.
Valoromega: We are currently expecting our first child , she should give birth within a this month.
She has requested money for baby things and I have given her over 400k but she hasn’t both the basic things she needs. She usually go with her mom to the market to get the things but they haven’t even both the things the baby will need in the hospital. They went and bought baby wardrobe even though we already had baby wardrobe that was given to us on our wedding , she also both baby duvet without buying bed , the clothes she bought was for a month old baby , she didn’t even buy the first wear the baby would use , so far I haven’t even seen anything tangible she has bought with 400k plus I’ve given her, she hasn’t even bought the things she needs after delivery .
I don’t know if it’s her mom that’s telling her to buy those things, the mom doesn’t even care where the money comes from , she just demands that we buy this and that .
I was thinking the money I gave her would be enough to buy the most basic things she and the baby needs , now she’s demanding more
This thing no need cause issues. I should have asked for a list of the basic things the baby will need and after which give money for them. Unbudgeted money equals unwarranted spending.
Controling a state and a country are two different ball games, the vested interests are very different. We seem to under estimate the amount of people benefiting from the inefficiency of our government. The minute you touch their money, they keep you busy with insecurity, increase in crime rate, and general unrest, cutting down government cost by 60% is great, but it has to be done gradually, any bullish approach will force these elements to unite against a common enemy. This is how politics is played, you can't run politics based on idealistically, you run it realistically. President Obasanjo tried the idealistic approach he saw pepper he switched to real approach, that's the only way your plans of doing good for the nation can survive.
At the moment business all over the world is hard and slow, many of them are restructuring others are shutting down. All the wars and proxy wars are bringing out the worst in businesses. A business is a coward, the very least treat will cause it to shut down.
janejjjjj5000: I hired a househelp in October. She is 34 years old. She tells me she wants to get married and that she is not getting any younger.
My mum is around now on a visit and when she heard her saying it, my mum told me to send her away so she will not snatch my husband.
My mum said that people like that when they get too desperate can come up with all kinds of ideas.
I trust my husband but my mum's words have been playing in my head.
I would appreciate your advice.
Thank you.
If you fire her because of your mum's statement, you will be making a decision based on fear. That decision will be a seed to your decision making process.
We have a big problem in our hands in Nigeria, we changed from military to civilian government but our military personnel's were not reoriented on the effect of this change, they still assume they ought to be seen and heard. I'm afraid we might still have a seed of coup in our nation with this type of thinking. Military is a service not a forced act, if you don't want to serve take a walk, because you are serving doesn't mean you have the right to behave anyhow you please. The military should be the highest echelon of discipline and order, if it's a crime to break military rules, it's a bigger crime to break general rules. In any first world nation if a military personnel breaks the law of the land they are arrested after which the military can come get their boy, but in Nigeria a military man can't be arrested by a governor for commuting a crime, so who can now arrest him if a governor can't?
inicyril: Hello family! My future is posing so much threat to my mental well-being and calls for serious help. I've always been of the school of thought that decisions burdening on one's future should be the product of the person's deep thinking and not advice on social media platforms. Alas I was wrong!
THIS IS MY SITUATION I would be 34 by February next year. I am a graduate of Biochemistry and I have been working as a teacher in a state government owned secondary School for the past 3 years. Growing up, I've been passionate about studying medicine but couldn't due to financial constraints. When I got my present job in 2021, the passion started coming back gradually but I ignored it and opted for a side hustle in software engineering. Late last year I got enrolled into alx software engineering program. I'll be done by the 22nd of this month. I've learnt a lot and acquired a lot of skills as well. Despite this, the passion still keeps staring at me. The issue here is, at my age is: 1. Is it a great idea going back to school to study medicine? 2. Should I go for computer science so as to boost my chances in the field of software engineering? 3. Or should I settle for PGD in education, then masters, to encourage my career growth in my present job?
I NEED SERIOUS ADVICE PLEASE.
First of all Passion doesn't doesn't put food on the table nor is it a bankable currency. A career or business is like selling something in the market, if the market wants rice you better sell it to them, if it is beans your best bet is to sell beans. Find a career that it's services are in demand and plug yourself in it.
sukkot: So guys we need to understand that women are drawn to protectors and alpha and strong men. It is how they are wired.
Something happens to a Nigerian man when he gets abroad and the women notice it. The man gets emasculated by society.
He goes from being a strong figure of authority in Africa to an unwanted disrespected black man in the west.
Even a 17 year old white boy on the job can almost slap that 40 year old naija man on the job and he will be shaking and calling the 17 year old boy, Sir.
The man is emasculated by society. Goes from being an alpha dog in naija to a puppy in the west.
Our women sense these things and to a woman if you are not an alpha dog you are just useless.
You start emptying the trash and making breakfast and washing dishes now as the man. Jobs that you used to hire maids to do for you in naija.
Not only can a 17 year old white boy disrespect you on the job but you are now a dishwasher at home. You have no value in society.
Anywhere you turn up you are not celebrated but tolerated.
After a while the woman starts to see that this guy is truly worthless to me, why do I need to coexist with this emasculated societal reject ?
I am better off by myself and I can get a better job than him here as a nurse.
He has become a burden to me.
This is why most women chase their husbands away from home after they both relocate abroad
People marry for the wrong reasons, a society is a system of normalised average, the normalised average in different geographical locations differ. The problem is many people change geographical location but don't change normalised average. Many marriages are not strong enough for relocation. In Nigeria a woman who leaves her husband or commits adultery is shamed, in other climes it doesn't work like that, so the woman in Nigeria might be faithful for the reason of avoiding shame, but the minute you take away the shame she is at liberty to do as she pleases.
Relocation has to be properly planned, it's not just Nigeria don tire me, many people are going to loose their children which is a bigger epidemic.
vazsily: Them say who dey ask questions no dey miss road. Although with the Internet crazy people are bound so I am circumspect.
I have been married over 15 years and in that time I have always complained about the way my wife over cooks and then start looking for who to share the food with in the name of giving alms. You would think having managed kitchen and home for that long, food measurement should come naturally.
I have not taking much interest until with the recent inflation and high cost of goods in the market. And why I struggle with the Grace of God to earn a living, madam on the other hand thinks going to the market regularly and living above my salary na achievement without any adjustment. The matter don tire me, I want to simply pick my bags and run but for the kids.
Responsibility is a choice but I think she's abusing it. Giving to the poor comes naturally for me but you must be wise about it. How do i resolve this?
It might be a ritual in her family that has been passed to her. I will suggest you have a family finance system put in place, a budget for every thing money is spent on has to be itemized in the home. If the food budget is 100k, if she exceeds it, it should be Clear that there are no bail out. The problem is you are giving money for food upon request, money should be shared by budget, I will suggest you start with weekly food budget, to give her a latitude to make mistakes, fixing a weeks mistake is easier than month mistake, when she has learnt, you can then make it a monthly thing. She will come with many excuses, just make sure you don't crack.
The fact is that worldwide things are a bit tough for businesses a lot of adjustments are being made to ensure survival. Adding the Nigerian factor to that fact is another thing entirely. Businesses are not run by emotions or cheap talk, it would be folly to assume that the decision to exit Nigeria by these companies were made less than a years or two ago, businesses don't make quick decisions on long-term effects. Tinubu is just at the recieving end of these decisions, but that's what leadership is about taking responsibility for problems you didn't create.
Many of these companies came to Nigeria with the assumption that it was a 200 million People market, after running for a while they realised that it was just a 20 million people market, not far fetched from their home ground. We need to build our indigenous brands that have no were to run, FDI is a stopgap to economic growth.
Poverty is a big problem in Nigeria, we have assumed that it is a problem that should be fixed by government for over half a century but I beg to differ, Entrepreneurs are the solution to our problems because they brave up irrespective of how difficult things get.
ademola2017: In 2017, i expressed my deep concerns on nairaland about my now ex wife double dating game before we got married, her attitude towards me and how the relationship was one sided.
I got several advices to let her go but decided to give the marriage another chance but it eventually crashed in March 2022. We did all we could to save the marriage but to no success. We were done patching. No child was involved and absolutely nothing to show for the marriage after 8years of being together. I still feel the pain but it gets better everyday. I credit myself for not cheating on her till our last days together and even months after our separation.
After several months of being celibate, I had sex with a young 25year old lady. I met her through a family friend 2 months before she got pregnant
Just one intercourse, she became pregnant. At first, i doubted it because I laboured very hard to father a child for 8yrs and with just one sexual intercourse, someone is carry my baby?? with me being very knowledgable about calculating ovulation dates and timely intercourse, it conformed so I had to accept the pregnancy as a sign from God.
Deep down, my new partner and I do not love each other but the respect for each other is on point. We have ZERO expectations from each other. We communicate well and have started living together in peace. No arguements, no drama and no issues at all.
I changed my mindset by taking her as my younger sister and she does same by taking me as an older brother.
It feels strange to be at so much peace with someone that I dont love at all. Our baby is coming and I am scared things may change when the true reality sets in.
What do you guys think?
You are going down a slippery slope, this arrangement is going to get either or both of you hurt. Once you start to provide for a woman, especially one you have been intimate with, your provision gradually begins to metamorphose into love. You might not love her but she will gradually start loving you. The problem starts when you refuse to reciprocate that love. It's best each party move on with their individual lives and coparent the unborn child.
ASUU needs to evolve, better pay and better learning environment is not cheap, someone has to pay for it, and that someone is not the government. The schools lecturers are Japaing to are not fully government funded they are tution, Alumni and research funded. ASUU should start the process for full university autonomy and start charging what their skills are worth, the student loan bill already helps their matter. Universities like Ibadan, Lagos, OAU, UNN, ABU should be ivy league schools and expensive. Our education structure is too weak, alumni funding student lecture relations are poor, lecturer discipline is poor, systemic injustice is prevalent. Our schools should great distant learning programs online programs that foreigners can patronise.
There is a difference between sales and what you make, you sell clothes worth 150k a month, what is your profit margin? That will better educate you on if the business is making more than your 9 to 5 job.
Another thing you need to consider b4 quilting your job is consistence, can you confidently say that the business will have an average sales of 150k for the next six months? If it doesn't how will you survive. Different business nitch usually have a dry spell season and boom seasons do you know your business seasons. What I'm trying to emphasise is you need to know more than great sales of your business b4 you consider quitting your job.
It is increasingly annoying that an individual who wanted to occupy the number 2 citizen seat in our country can be this negative of the likelihood of progress of the country. It shows his character.
Why should we expect more from a man that brought only one value to Obi/Datti ticket which is he is a northerner, if you disagree, name one northerner state he was able to win for the ticket? Even in his Zaria home constituency he could only deliver 3% of the total votes, coming a distant 4th. Peter obi did the hard work, Datti just comes to sound intellectual. Other VP candidates from the 2 top political parties delivered their geopolitical zones, what did oga deliver?

But your lawyers couldn't prove beyond reasonable doubt that the there was massive rigging as yo claimed. Instead they were banking on 25% FCT and the disqualification of Tinubu for forgery. Facts win in court not propaganda. The same court you hailed for restoring you gubernatorial mandate has suddenly become incoherent, what a world.
missimelda01: So I get this awkward reaction when a man asks for my position in my family and I say I'm the first child. I really want to know what the issue is...is it just the bride price??
It's mostly a poverty issue, a number of our people are poor and they deep themselves into extreme poverty by having more children than their income can carry. The behaviour of getting ones spouse to take responsibily for the extended family is a programming from when children are little. The irony is if you loose the breadwinning spouse that famil automatically becomes like the extended family broke as crazy.
Taking care for an extended family is not the best way to start a marriage, but poverty, irresponsibility and life makes it other wise.
