kutchs:I don't think FG will bank roll the governors n their aids expenses n secondly PMB will be staying in the guest house of the president of America which saves us accommodation monies. A travel expense of $8 million, a delegation of 300 people (what room in the white house will accommodate them?) this report is a little too bogus abeg. |
A is moving along a major road and staying in it, so he has the priority while b and c are either joining a major road from a minor or joining a minor from a major |
Chad Cameroon and Nigeria formed a joint task force to tackle the insurgents so its perfectly healthy for Chad to bomb a boko haram hide out so far they are in sync with the Nigerian military. They might have taken such actions on intelligence and a delay might have compromised the mission. Either ways boko haram is being crushed |
I won't be quick to exonerate either parties, yes its wrong for a man to cheat on his wife but what about the wife, did she perform all her wifely duties? For every effect there is a cause its either the man is a glutton and just wants anything in skirts or he is being staved emotionally or physically (I have a feeling that the latter is the case). Marriages are three folded cords man, woman and God (not Hollywood, not celebrity not public) both parties better go back to the drawing board Hollywood/celebrity/public marriages don't last a marriage is a private thing so better grow up and stop painting the whole cyberspace with your marriage problems and joys. And Mr man irrespective of what ever the situations never cheat on your wife real men only pants down for their wives. |
It's now crystal clear our politicians lack ideology they simply drop their logs wherever the ax swings forgetting that a miscalculation will lead to an amputated arm. |
Nigerian refinery and their capacities Kaduna refinery = 100,000 barrels per stream day (bpsd) (1975) Warri refinery = 100,000 bspd (1978) + 25,000 bspd (upgrade 1987) =125,000 bpsd Port Harcourt = 60,000 bspd (old 1965) +150,000 bspd (new 1989) =210,000 bpsd Total installed capacity = 435,000 bpsd How many gallons of petrol and diesel in a barrel of crude oil A barrel of crude oil = 42 gallons A barrel of crude oil = 19 gallons of petrol (71.92 litres) [1 gallon =3.785 litres] = 12 gallons of diesel (45.42 litres) Total petrol and diesel output at 70% efficiency @70% efficiency per day =70%*435,000 bpsd = 304,500 bpsd Amount of petrol produced @ 70% efficiency = 304,500bpsd * 71.92 =21,899,640 litres per day Amount of diesel produced @ 70% efficiency = 304,500bpsd * 45.42 =13,830,390 litres per day Average daily consumption I couldn’t find any recent data for the total petrol consumption of the year 2014, but according to The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) in 2013 the annual consumption of petrol stood at 39.66 million barrels (6.2billion litres). Convert barrels to litres at (1 barrel =158 litres) [US barrel to litres] If the yearly consumption (2013) =6.2 billion litres Daily consumption (2013) = 6.2billion litres/365 = 17,167,890.41 litres per day The above information is purely based on standard best practices, but after digging further I discovered statistic for refined products in kaduna refinery as follows No Product Production Rate 1 PMS 3,857 MT/DAY 2 KEROSENE 1,686 MT/DAY 3 AGO [DIESEL] 3,000 MT/DAY 4 ASPHALT 1,796 MT/DAY 5 LAB 91 MT/DAY 6 BASE OILS 657 MT/DAY 7 LPG 620 MT/DAY 8 FUEL 2,100 MT/DAY This infers that kaduna refinery only produces 3857 metric tons of petrol per day which is about 5.2 million litres daily assuming the density of petrol is 737.22kg/m3. This production value is 2 million litres shy of the internationally accepted rate which could be due to the age of the plants technology. Source NNPC. (2005). ribbit:A barrel of crude oil can produce: 19 gallons of gasoline = 71 litres ( 1gallon=3.785) 12 gallons of diesel =45 litres According to nnpc website the total capacity of pH refinery is that's the old one with 60000 bpsd and the new 150000bpsd combined is 210000 bpsd Installed capacity gasoline output= 210000*71= 14910000 Which is far above the 5 million barrels we should be asking where the remaining 9 million litres is going. Jirate:How did OBJ get our debts cleared by the Paris club? Answer: traveling. We need international support if we are going to fight terrorism, secure credits, and attract foreign investment, you mentioned yar Adua making appointments within weeks the question is how successful was his government in bringing prosperity to the country? Let's cut mr President some slack abeg. |
anonimi:You are one of the reasons why we haven't grown as a nation, why must you result to insults in communicating your grievance? Why cant you be civil in stating your opnion? I will suggest you grow up and understand that everyone has an opinion and you raise your opinion in constructive criticism. Back to your point for your information managers in nnpc, shell, chevron, oando, Mobil, dangote etc earn more than 14 million a year, will it now be logical to pay someone overseeing this multinational less? The answer is no cos he won't be able to pay his bills and hence he would steal I can hear u say they are stealing already but trust me it would get worse. Further more we need technocrats to work with the government how do convince someone earning so much in the private sector to come work in the government n collect less pay? A change in the minimum wage is important but let's not let that elude sound judgement. |
14 million per annum is fairly reasonable for the president which is $70000, the president of America earns $400000 per annum. I would have loved to see the allowance pay sheet instead that's where Monies is usually drained |
ifedubatoochukw:The central command is our engine room yet for over four decades the government was plagued with coups outside the engine room. I will suggest you read our military history before we compare it with the advanced world. In Nigeria institutions are controlled by individuals while in advance countries institutions control individuals, we haven't defeated boko haram because of the institutional settings we run the stronger the leader d stronger the institution instead of the reverse examples include efcc-ribadu, nafdac-dora, stock exchange-ndi cbn-sls etc. |
Reference:Let's not fail to establish that 2/3 of the states cant pay salaries and gossip filtering in are even implicating some states with high national cake. Debts are a global phenomenon when they are sustainable, when you use borrowed money to pay salaries the debt is not sustainable or better still its a liability most of the debt in Lagos are the eko Atlantic city n mono rail project both will bring in money to service d debt when completed states like akwa ibom have sustainable debts cos the development is recreational in nature n hence can be serviced through tourism. Further more let's not forget that the debt of Lagos is cumulative. |
denko:i don't think he is trying to make excuses, i think he is trying to prepare us for whats coming i.e tight budget, tight monetary policies, high taxation. the gej government wasted a lot of money and incurred huge debts to the tune of $60 billion even with the oil boom at the time that is not to mention the amount of uncompleted projects the new administration has inherited. so its more of a call to tighten ones belt and a little patience to stabilize the economy. |
Its now clear that even if the south south produces a president it simply doesn't solve the problems on ground I mean GEJ was president for a term n still no reasonable development in the Niger delta for 4 years with all the resources at his disposal, what then is the assurance that resource control will guarantee stability n development? Yet we have succeeded in creating billionaire militants and criminals, the problems lie within the people and not the quantity of resources. |
shedrack222:that makes no sense man u have huge debts coupled with the fact that they need a huge sum of money to overhaul their team and lest not forget that their financial record is a mess. while arsenal for the past 10 years have turned over profit to share holders, paid fully for their recently built stadium, and stable team performance. the only backlog of arsenal is the lack of silver wares both as an investor i would put my money in arsenal and i pretty much feel thats what dangote sees |
Its disheartening and sad that some of the youths of Nigeria have been reduced to political animals instead of students. Is it until you or a member of your family is attacked or killed before you agree our criminal justice system needs reformation? I really don't get it why do we always make the collective existence of this nation always about politicians what of our voice as a people? Fix the judiciary and criminal justice system and its only a matter of time the hammer will fall on every corrupt politicians, why put the cart before the horse? Once the horse moves the cart has no choice but follow suit. |
[quote author=borlarge post=33334884]I do think its wrong to destroy a man's image because you prefer this contender. The fact is AIT has feed fat on federal resources since 1999 and things are going to be pretty tough for them as a result of change of government combined with the fact that they have huge loans to service. I think team GMB played into their hands by the proposed ban, now they would say the GMB is after AIT survival wen in actual sense they were on the path of no return already. The lesson here to all businesses is for them to run their organisations as a business and not an arm of the government as things can change in a split second. Let's encourage professionalism in businesses not partisanship. |
I keep asking myself certain questions about my beloved country, when will certain things end? When will subsidy end? When will nddc end? If we don't have a stop date for these activities then no true development will come to their corresponding quarters. Its clear this subsidy thing is a scam why do we still insists it goes on? My suggestion to the incoming administration is for them to build an nnpc mega station in every local government of the country, sell the fuel produced by our refinery, import fuel as a state (let an arm of nnpc handle fuel importation) and sell this fuel only in the mega stations. ever other private company is permitted to import fuel and sell at their own price. So our mega station caters for the poor and less privileged in all local governments. Many of the companies parading themselves as oil marketers will either close down or be forced to adjust their prices as normal businesses do to survive. |
I'm strictly against any form of abuse both emotional or physical perpetrated by either partner. Reason being that they don't solve problems, and at the end we all have to discuss the issue and decide to make the necessary adjustments to live in peace. |
When exactly will the amnesty programme end? I believe the initiative is a time bound one, and should have a start date and end date. Else we will still be doing justice to the subject matter in the next 50 years which is synonymous to beating a dead horse. |
A minister is a political appointee elected by the president to help him service the people, while a govonor is democratically elected by the people of the people and for the people. A govonors influence is miles away from that of a minister, governors even nominate ministers from their zones. |
We like it or not this country is run by a powerful cabal which obasanjo is a member ibb is a member Abdulsalam also is a member. OBJ negotiated with this cabal for one term for GEJ and wen it looked like he wasn't going to happen he decided on self destroy for the platform in which he was running. OBJ had to deliver on his promise of on behalf of GEJ else he faced grave consequences in the cabal, just try and remember all the attackings on GEJ they were all strategically planned. What should concern us is the next line of action of the cabal with the APC. The northerners have developed a system to work with this cabal, but I'm afraid the southerners still don't understand its Concept talk less of having directorial stakes there, they all want to be in the centre instead of yearning to control what happens in the centre. I see Tinubu joining this cabal as they only take members by merit, and he has proved to them that he belongs in the cabal. |
multicast:Its inconsequential what happened in ur courtship the fact is u need professional help go talk to a councillor as your marriage is already on the highway to divorce its only a matter of time true frustration sets in. And pray the devil is after marriages don't let him get yours. |
As earlier stated the right circle of people is his only chance for success. The truth is that no one person can totally eradicate corruption its a collective responsibility, what we need GMB to do is to penetrate our institutions and strengthen them and probably make all processes in our institutions electronic no paper trail |
I beg to defer with the writers opinion I schooled in UK and I did see a lot of young people work and earn a living which was as a result of the way their system is runned and trust Nigerians they adapted to the system most working like their UK counterparts and even paying their fees. Why was this possible because they have a well structured payment system, there is little difference between the high ended earner working in KFC in UK is OK to pay ones bills and have a little savings, how much is being paid to people working in mr Biggs in lagos? What is the cost of living in Lagos? The total population in UK is the population of the amount of youths in Nigeria, the fact is that our employment industry is messed up and the youths have been groomed to be layed back because of the insufficiency of the employment industry. I for one do not support people without jobs living a flamboyant lifestyle, the reason being that this is possible is that our workforce system is broken. Then there is this thin about unemployable graduates, I have seen a lot of graduates who sat at home for years hustled to go abroad for further study or work and get good jobs in fact the western countries have passed laws to eject our people from overseas because they are taking all the jobs there. The question is why isn't this happening here at home? I am not saying all our graduates are top notch but what of the good ones? Also its not bad for a parent to give his child a launching pad in life some of the most successful people in the world have benefited from I.e bill gates, dangote, JP Morgan etc. Striking a balance is the key to success we should go beyond or behind board. |
perfectionist:You assumed wrongly bro you shouldn't have left them alone especially without male supervision. I'm afraid that the disaffection between your wife n mum is shipwrecking your home and the fact is that you are the problem. How u may ask, both women are trying to gain masterly control over you and either of them won't give way for the other. You as the man have to put both of them in their proper place, your wife can't be your mother and your mother can't be your wife they are two distinctively different roles, sit both of them down n talk to them and be firm while doing this. Don't play the blame game let both apologise for their rude behaviour your wife owns the pictures and has every right not to give it to your mum but she did lack the moral right to fight your mum while your mum disrespected you by slapping your wife thats assault. |
gej will win ss and se gmb will win ne and nw gej & gmb will share nc i cant predict sw its going to be the decider. |
Nigerians and their propaganda theory. Push CV is a business and the most important aim of any business is to provide services and make money, how do they do this by just collecting CV's a lot of hardwork was put into the whole process their staffs have to get paid. I'm not validating pushcv all I'm saying is no one provides services for free hence we should show a little empathy and by the way they didn't force and one to pay any money it a choice. B4 someone says I work for puchcv let me clear the air that I don't n I also applied, further more there are similar institutions live pushcv in UK like cvlibrary, reed, blue arrow etc some of them even get PSID by subsiding their clients salaries they agree with an employer for a fee for their clients services and then agree with the client on a salary the difference is their profit. |
the misconception of infatuation for love. many think that love is a feeling, (which most times fade away averagely within the first two years of marriage) love is not a feeling its an ACT. we as human beings are subject to certain needs and our survival depends on these needs same goes with marriage each partner has certain needs and unless these needs are met their union no matter how they feel is heading for the rocks. the word action is gotten from act keeping a marriage is taking actions that may or may not be convenient just to please ones spouse. another big problem is the I phenomenon when a marriage is all about one of the partner the other feels left out, to have a successful marriage you have to give up the I's for the us. and finally a lot of nigerians have resorted to worshiping money instead of God there is a statistics that shows that 50% of marital problems are monetary in nature. the only way to learn how to love unconditionally is by loving God unconditionally we like it or not money answereth all things but doesn't redeem most things. Marriage is no cheap talk its hard work its a wonder how people use 20 years of their life to prepare for a career and 6 months to prepare for a lifetime process (marriage) |
Surplus90:We drive left handed vehicles how come most of the cars are right handed cars? This picture is most likely not Nigeria |
Themandator:She escaped from the camp and our security networks haven't been organised well enough to locate such assets before the press. If we continue in this path the insurgency is going to go on for a long time. |
If we are reading this now my guess is boko haram must have read it too and probably changed base. My issues with our security agency is the way they manage intelligence info why hasn't this particular camp been found before the release of this story |
