Do you agree with Reno?
You can't chase away foreign companies because you have certain prejudices about them. If you go after a foreign company from a particular extraction, you give the perception to other foreign company's that their time is coming, this ultimately will reduce the size of their investment thereby reducing opportunities. The best way of getting rid of a company is creating better product and services at competitive prices.

It's unfortunate that our people still don't understand what a minimum wage regime should look like. Minimum wage is the least any citizen of working age should earn for their work. Increasing minimum wage to 75k is going to be insane, our economy isn't that strong. Government in general doesn't employ up to 20% of our viable work force, the large companies and banks don't employ up to 20% of our viable work force, more than 60% of our workforce work in SMEs or mSMEs, the question is have they been able to pay the 30k minimum wage?

PAN, Coscharis, Nord, and a lot of other guys are producing or have the capacity to produce cars in Nigeria, why do we have to single out innoson and back him up? This very act perpetrated by the PDP destroyed so many businesses thereby leaving us at the mercy of monopolist. Open the market to everyone let them compete, the best product or services wins, we need to stop manipulating markets.

We need to learn from history, not long ago we had issues with cattle rearers and land grabbing, we can't hand over land to people because they have a potential for agriculture. Instead, create a state government agriculture reserve, at the reserve we can have mechanised equipments farmers can rent, portions of land are leased to farmers for an agricultural season spanning say 18 months. After the season you have to renew the lease. We can have police stations and min army base around the reserve, even seed and fertilizer sharing would be the responsibility of the reserve management.

How can a single person manage a 150k salary job in lagos. Considering house rent and a lot of expenses that are high here in lagos??

I need your input guys!!!
There are 3 things that consume ones earnings in Lagos. The first is transportation, next is accomodation, the last is consumption & entertainment. If possible live in close proximity to your job, if spend less than 10% of your earnings on transportation, you are way ahead of the curve. For accommodation you can cut cost by getting shared living space, that way utilities and other associated accomodation cost is shared. Lastly, you will have to cook your own meals, especially the meals you eat during work periods, things like clubbing, chilling at a bar or hanging out with friends have to be severely moderated.

WHY do couples rush to get married based on their age, not based on the quality of their relationship?

You will see someone rushing to get married just because they are 30years old.
As much as I'm not a fan of rushing into marriage, there are a number of factors that require one to try and fasttrack things. Life expectancy in Nigeria is 52 years, meaning that by statistics, the longer it takes to get married the lesser the time one can stay married, enjoy children and grand children, beat wealth, beat inflation etc.

In an unprecedented show of support and national acceptance, High Chief Government Ekpemopolo aka Tompolo today bought the front pages of two national newspapers to congratulate President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his inauguration as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This massive show of love and support from Niger Delta leaders like Tompolo, Asari Dokubo, Wike, Jonathan etc goes to show that the South South is fully in support of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administration. I’m glad the Senate president is going to the region.

Kudos to Tompolo and other Niger Delta leaders for putting the unity and progress of the country ahead of emotional, petty, bigoted and selfish ethno- religious considerations. Their show of southern support and solidarity will never be forgotten.
There is a reason masses is the masses and elite is the elite. Look at the elite building bridges very early into an administration, the masses are shouting not my president. Figure out how this administration will favour you is key, prosperity doesn't answer to "we" it answers to "I".

As much as we would like to see transparency in our courts ruling, we need to be careful how we set precedence.

So we open up elections petition tribunal should some party not get the desired result, will they now insist the appeal courts, high courts, and supreme court's proceedings be televised?

If we are not careful terrorists will insist on open trial, for a country without witness protection, any witness can be target of miscreants attack. Even our judges will be exposed.

FamilyRe: How Do I Save My Marriage by gabicon: 4:28pm On May 16, 2023
promisedwealth:
Good morning Great people and wonderful family, please just like the saying a problem shared it's a problem half solved.

I have been married to my wife for over 6years now we have been through all together we have two kids 4 and a year old .

my business since late 2021 has been rough I lost some money trying out a different business I'm based in the eastern part of the country.

Early last year my mother in law told my wife to come stay with her in Lagos till I can find my self again, they left imo to Lagos on feb. 2022 I have been I contact with them ever since sending money across also it happen that my wife started bringing the idea of myself joining over there in Lagos ( my in law has a little school in Lagos that has been where my wife has been teaching since she left) .

Concerning the relocation I told her it's not easy as I have to look for money to get accommodation, shop to start a business also the money will be much which I can't afford for now during someday last year I told her to come back during one of our discussion she told me she it's not coming to east again I got angry.

I noticed the mother will never allow her leave her school so I kept mute about coming back since I was neither ready yet do we kept on going no issues.

Just this april she changed, hardly pick my call, stop calling me by the pet name she does.

I tried to find out what happened, she told me she wanted a break. I was confused I tried to guess why she came up with that. she needs to seek and know if it's the will of God for our union that's after two kids .

I was lost also I have tried to restore this woman sanity since then till now I have spoken to the mother she it's not saying anything than what ever she decides it's best for her the only once telling me not to worry at the brothers but I'm worried honestly .

I don't want my kids to grow in different homes.

I also tried to make her see this same reason she told me the kids will be fine she's not looking at anything making her decision please I need advise it's my wife under a spell or what.

I don't want to raise ny kids this way please advice please....
What you are experiencing is called a change of status syndrome. Your wife has been fully dependent on you, now she has left for this long and has to carve a niche for herself, thereby becoming independent. She basically has to do everything for herself and the kids which pops a question in her head "why do I need a husband?". Of course your pet name will be flushed down the toilet, pet names are emotionally given, used and driven.

You should have scheduled routine visits of maybe a fortnightly initially when they moved, she has needs, sexual emotional, financial etc, how did you intend them to be met? She will react to unmet needs. The kids will keep asking questions that she can't answer, the one year old barely knows you.

As it stands you are the key to sustaining your marriage, go to Lagos and check on your family, don't expect your wife to show you much love, at this point you have to earn her love again. Apologise for not being available. While you are in Lagos do a feasibility study of things, if you have a friend catch up with them and discuss opportunities.

Decide on what you will do should your wife be involved with another man, but don't act or take action until she confirm she is in another relationship.

My name is John. I am 35 years old. I lost my first wife in 2020, so I remarried in 2021 so that my daughter can grow up with a motherly love.

However, my new wife has made it a point of duty to always maltreat my daughter.

Each time, I want to interfere, she tells me to stay out of it. I know I should stand up for my daughter but I am in love with this woman because she came into my life when I needed someone the most.

I reached out to the family of my late wife last month to allow my daughter to stay with them while I send money for her upkeep, but they refused. They said my daughter cannot grow up without a mother and still grow up without the presence of a father in her life.

I have had several conversations with my wife and I have begged her to accommodate my daughter since she is yet to conceive but she told me to get rid of her from the house.

She practically complains about everything my daughter does. I am unhappy about this but at the moment, I am caught in between the woman I love and my beloved daughter.

Please what should I do?
You created this problem, there is what you needed and there is what you wanted.
What you wanted was a love of your life, to take away your sorrow. What you needed was first of all a mother to your daughter and then a wife/ companion. Now you have a woman who doesn't understand her purpose and power. I wish you godspeed in turning this mess around.

Immediately Tinubu was in the clear, he began to rendered them powerless, the nail in the coffin for them was when OBJ wanted to run for second term, he convinced them that they should support his ambition, Tinubu refused, insisting the have their own candidate to run against OBJ they didn't listen. I'm afraid some of us don't fully understand how global politics works. The one who controls world energy controls the world, Saudi Arabia control the prices of world energy, America has an alliance with Saudi, military equipments for control of oil prices by denominating the price of oil in US dollar. The Saudi's control an oil cartel called OPEC, by proxy America controls world energy.

The whole BRICS propaganda has been gaining momentum, but if the can't control world energy it's dead on arrival, secondly how do they agree on the world defacto currency is it rubles or rupees or rand or yuan? Who gets to get absolute power?

Trade between 2 countries in their currencies is dependent on the value each country can bring to the table, the moment a country dipps in value the alliance becomes porous.

Politics is a game, play the game. The funny thing is that the southwest the lesson of political inclusion from the southeast. Awolowo was always playing the regional card while Zik was I alliance with the north. Akintola, Awolowo's deputy was tired of the regional game and wanted to play national, of course Awo didn't agree this cause a rift between them, split the political structure. Awo lost big time.

There has to be some political diversity from the southeast, what does the southeast expect when they give 90% of their votes to a party that came third? They will get ordinary treatment, it will be folly to expect extra ordinary treatment. The seat of senate President is eluding the southeast because of this same problem. The Northwest want the senate President seat because they delivered for the APC and they have a valid claim, they are even using it to push a 2027 agenda already.

We met late last year during our school old student get together, we exchanged contact and kept in touch regularly. Our vibes have been good and encouraging. She had helped me very well many times since then. I'd say we are more than friends but ambigously because i haven't really asked her to be my girlfriend, though i have taken her out before on val day. Like i said, our relationship is ambigous. She doesn't have a boyfriend yet, but her mum is trying to matchmake her.

2. Sarah - Based in the States with her family for futher studies, though she's a Nigerian through her grandpa. We met early this year while playing game and since then we have become close that all her family know me. Her paternal uncle is one of my team sponsor here in Nigeria. You need to be explicit about what you want. All you have said about both ladies are surface deep. What are your values? Which of the ladies have similar values? What are your dreams and aspirations? Do either of them fit into helping you get them? What are these ladies looking for in a man? Do you fit the description?

I have come to the conclusion that I'm addicted to prostitutes. It started in 2010 when I first slept with a hooker. Its 13yrs now and I still patronise prostitutes. I slept with 155 of them, 55 were without protection.

The problem right now is that I don't have that much feelings for the new girl I'm dating. Since she's been in my life I have been able to stop but I noticed my soul still longs to experience that feeling of getting high and banging a hoxx.

In fact, I'm thinking if ending this relationship should be my next line of action.

This is not the first time, my past relationships ended because the feelings weren't there.

What would you suggest? Does sleeping with many partners make one loose the feeling of love? I don't get it, I can't even love, it's not just there.
Like you keep count of them? I think the problem you have is that of sex adventure, you are looking for a new experience with every sexual episode. Unfortunately, the more you seek new experiences the weaker you are to hold down a meaningful relationship, this is so because the most crucial factor to you in a relationship is sex. The feeling of love has different components like mutual interest, honesty& openness, respect, emotional support, financial support, sex, reliability, etc. Until you redefine what love is to you, you are stuck in this bubble.

Obi is not a bad person, he is just not skilled in the act of Nigerian politics. All politicians use the ethnic and religious card and get away with it, but because of the I can never do wrong persona he put out he is getting the backlash.

To be honest the reason Peter Obi didn't win is his deputy Datti. Peter Obi had a great outing in the south and parts of the NC. Datti couldn't get the core north to give LP 30% votes, that would have been enough to swing the elections in their favour.

Peter Obi should have pressed president Obasanjo to prevail on Kwankwaso to be his running mate, the odds would have been better up north.

These people are going to continually dig up dirt on Peter Obi, till they get what can bury him.

I hope the LP start working on the different facets of structure for their party. It is really irritating to know that a presidential candidate was making calls on an insecure line, call encryption isn't expensive, why did the labor party communication team not get a secure line for Peter Obi?

When 2 healthy adults engage in unprotected sex there are only 2 outcomes, irrespective of the contraception used. Either the woman gets pregnant or she doesn't. There is no mistakes here, one or the other has to occur. unfortunately, women are at the receiving end as they have to host the pregnancy. Since this is the case, they have to be a lot more responsible in handling their sexual affairs than men. A man who wants you as a woman will do whatever you make a requirement to get you, the problem is a few women make very weak requirements.
A man is not obligated to marrying a woman he got pregnant.

My name is Dimeji (not real name tho), I'm in my final lap in one of the prestigious uni in Nigeria.

It happens my fiancee and I have been dating for long now, recently she discovered that she missed her period (though I'm not happy with it and at the same time I don't want ab*rtion) and couple the fact that I really love this lady and I want future with her.

I want to quickly do her introduction before the bump is visible n I have taken a bold step by taken my parents to hers for unofficial intro before the real intro which has been set for next two months.

But recently I do observe that she do post on her status about praying not to choose wrongly in term of relationship, (she has once asked me whether I don't feel we are rushing things in one of our conversation one time like that) plus the fact that whenever I called her recently the vibe is not there any longer, this is the person we are both serious with the relationship oo Infact she's the one that's pushing thing initially.

My question now is that, Is it anxiousness or marriage phobia or early pregnancy symptoms or she's just confuse or the feeling of not been ready that's worrying her? (She will be 26 next month)
Dear sir,

One of the keys to a successful relationship is effective communication. You have to talk with your lady. I think the cold feet is coming from the fact that you only decided to go along with her wish to get married because of the pregnancy. You need to reassure her she is the priced jewel not the pregnancy. Secondly, unplanned knowledge that one will be a parent can take it's toll on soon to be parents. Years of premeditated plans are just brushed aside for the soon coming new addition, it can take some getting used to. Proper communication, planning, and recalibration is necessary. This is not the time to give her space, it is the time to help each other heal and prepared for the little on. Try to spend more time together, go out to her favourite places as much as your budget will permit, reassure her all will be fine, and have honest conversation about your future.

I just voted , while going home , I observed it was same thing in d other polling Units in my Ward.

These are pictures from different polling units in my Ward
Prehistorically it has always been like this, the presidential elections enjoy a lot of attention than the gubernatorial elections, however this one is extreme. Obidents should have pushed more today than on the presidential elections. The foundations built today will further their cause in 2027, that is if they will still be interested.

The road to change things is not a sprint race, it is a marathon.
