adexcube: Status changed, application returned to where you applied. Don't even know when to go and get my documents back because i cant even find my vac receipt at the moment, will re-apply sometime next month. To all whose application were rejected just thank God for giving you the grace to apply and thank him for the new things He is going to do.
Thanks to everyone who helped in one way or the other.

Sorry about the development. Ive been there.
You may go with another soft copy in additiin to a another vaid Nigerian ID.
You may also wish to go armed with a Court affidavit ad police report as well in case they want to make things difficult as they are encouraged to take us for granted by VO's attitude towards us.

when i re-apply. Will it affpplication?

earthgreeners: Bros I no wan argue, even Nigeria admission better pass UK admissions....
UK admission na for every tom, dick and harry....all they want is ya cash ooo...forget the UKBA rating....UK Universities are good, no doubt..but their admission cheap pass mess...

Today is Sunday, I can get u admission into a UK university before Friday....
I CONCUR. BIG MAN PIKIN WEY NO FIT PASS JAMB, WILL GET UK ADMISSION THROUGH FOUNDATION PROGRAM AND GRADUATE WITH 2/1! AND THEN THEY WILL OFFER HIM MASTERS ADMISSION, NEXT THING HE WILL SAY HE IS DOING PHD!

THEY WILL BE SUCKING AT LEAST £10,000 FROM THE STUDENT AS TUITION YEARLY. THEN HE WILL PAY ACCOMMODATION, SPEND FOR FEEDING AND TRANSPORTATION AND UK ECONOMY WILL BE ON HIS HEAD. IMAGINE THE IMPACT OF 1,000 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ON UK ECONOMY ANNUALLY!
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by galala123(m): 3:44pm On Feb 17, 2013
bukahands: I disagree, UK admission is also based on merit once u reach there requirements. Many UK schools rank more than canadian schools. The problem with Uk is funding and immigration wahala after studies
I agree with Jennyfar, UK schools want your money, if you are not qualified, there are various pathways to pull you in via foundation, mature students, etc. especially at lower levels. In fact they often times dont just turn you back, instead they will cross-sell by offering you alternative programs as well as they can collect the tuition fee from your wallet. Now that immigration to UK is very tight, they are the ones looking for students sef coz they know they will put you on the next available flight back to Africa as soon as you round up your program.

lillaowow: Sir, yu called me. I was "day dreaming" about being a member of the super eagles when I heard my name from afar.
How's it going?
@lillaowow! we have been missing you in the house. Sorry for waking you up and distorting your sweet dream. Abeg next time dream you are the Canada VO issuing us PRV instead of TRV we applied for. Super eagles? You always have something heart soothing to say

opsy4real1: I have a registered business name with corporate affairs commision but 2 months old...the nature of biz is food production of processing..now i want to visit the usa by april. Do i apply as a tourist or business thru conference? How do i go about it cos i applied for tourist visa last september but was refused but then i applied as an employee at a company but now am applyin as d managin director of my coy. Thx
With US visa, you never know, but when I was there for interview last month some peeps were not given on the ground that their business is still too new. The VO said something like, grow your business, get more years experience in your business and get it deeply rooted then come back. Coz they may ask you "and how long have you been in this line of business?" (If your answer is 2 months, it may not sound too well oh)
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by galala123(m): 8:06am On Feb 16, 2013
tee2faith: Hi all,
Please i have a US Visa appointment scheduled for next week and i logged on to print my confirmation page this afternoon only to see this information on my page "PLEASE NOTE THAT ONE OR MORE OF THE DS-160 NUMBERS USED TO SCHEDULE THIS APPOINTMENT CAN NOT BE VALIDATED.
INCORRECT DS-160 NUMBERS MAY LEAD TO A DELAY IN BEING PROCESSED"
Please does anyone know the meaning or what might have caused it. its really strange and this is the first time and seeing it.
Please help.
I had the same problem. I called them and was asked to e-mail a soft copy of my current receipt of payment as it was showing my old receipt and #23,100 paid instead of #26,400.
They escalated the issue without positive feedback and eventually when I called again, they said I should proceed for my interview and if I have problem getting in, I should call them from the gate. I got in without issues.
You may wish to log in the error in your application dashboard under 'send feedback'
TravelRe: A Comprehensive List Of The Documents Required For Visas by galala123(m): 7:58am On Feb 16, 2013
Goshen360: That's NOT true. Not in all visas categories. The person telling you that 'might' be referring to a 'particular' type of visa. If the above is true, you will need to ask what type of visa they're referring to. An ordinary invitation letter ONLY need notary public from any public notary in US of A and has nothing to do with going through the Department of States. I also understand that visas for 'performing artist', 'fiance/fiancee' goes through Department of States. In all, you'll need to identify what visa category but ALL invitation letter doesn't go through the department of States; that, I can assure you.
I agree with you. My brother has sent me soft copies of letters of invitation severally from the US. The VO's have never even asked to see the letter. At most they ask for my bank statement though I hold all reachable documents in-order not to give them reason for refusal. Sometimes they can bounce you even before you realise that you have started the visa interview and you will not even be given a chance to present documents thereafter! Once I was eager to hand them support documents relating to each question after every question and the VO said "Don't worry, I trust you, if I want to see any document, I will ask for it".

earthgreeners: @galala123, no be small thing ooo...If I tell you say I no understand dat ur sermon, na lie I dey talk oooo......
But man must motivate himself...
U get the gist?......

I really feel mercy's pain, the CDHC VOs in Nigeria are making Canada look like heaven...

***No pain, No gain***
My brother, thanks for keeping the tempo up. Mercylicious has always carried us on her back when we felt like giving up. It's our turn to carry her. Madam, the denial is the more reason for you to say "hell no, unless I choose not to go to Canny, no VO can stop me".

We've got more work to do. It's OK to be sober for a while, Get some rest, clear your head, dust you back pack and the jump up even stronger. The VO might have said said 'hell no', but we say "Heaven yes, Oh Yes, we can".

I pray it is not a straight forward refusal as someone mentioned something like advising people to withdraw their applications and resubmit.

With your excellent academic performance, I believe Canada needs you even more than you need Canada. Their loss so far.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by galala123(m): 4:58pm On Feb 15, 2013
mercylicious: Denial.
I am sad. I was looking forward to you putting me through settling in Canny if I re-apply successfully in the near future.

My sister, what makes a person great is getting up and going after a fall. Dust yourself up and shine. Study the reason for denial and then work ahead from there.

It is not over.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by galala123(m):
earthgreeners: Mr. galala123, I love ur sermon...but that wont stop me from leaving this Joke called Nigeria if given the oppurtunity. Nothing seem to be working, A country where hardwork is never recognized....Im sorry oo... I wld rather wait for the snails in CDHC..
For me, It's still TRAVELLING TO CANADA......

Making enquiry is different from prostesting...Nobody here is talking about protest cos we are all matured and understands the consequence of our actions...
"After visiting these places, you can easily understand how that within a few years Hitler will emerge from the hatred that surrounds him now as one of the most significant figures who ever lived. He had boundless ambition for his country which rendered him a menace to the peace of the world, but he had a mystery about him in the way that he lived and in the manner of his death that will live and grow after him. He had in him the stuff of which legends are made" -JFK; Personal diary (1 August 1945)

WE NEED A LEADER WITH BOUNDLESS AMBITION FOR NIGERIA and followers ready to make sacrifices for tomorrow. As bad as Hitler was perceived, even JFK acknowledged that "he had in him the stuff of which legends are made". He loved his country so much that he was ready to destroy the rest of the world for self preservation. I weep for Nigeria. Syria has been almost totally demolished -Roads, bridges, Water works, Electric infrastructure, Airports, Railway tracks, Buildings, Businesses, Schools, Worship places, etc but I wont be surprised if they are more developed than we in the next 10 years. Sad, but some of us have to stay behind to put it back together like Humpty Dumpty after the great fall(Though all the kings men couldn't put Humpty Dumbty together again ba?) grin

Lastly, be careful sha as peaceful enquiry en masse can go wrong. You do not know all applicants behavior. A frustrated and annoyed individual may smoke enuff ganja and vodka that morning and then land the nearest VO hot slap and the whole thing go get diplomatic k-leg. Just advising against group action unless you want to hire a lawyer for class action/ deliberation with CHDC.

Have you considered joint strike by applicants? No visa application whatsoever (Study, visit, business, etc) from Nigeria, then CHDC cannot make their financial targets and they will have no work in Naija leading to job losses on their part, then they will know that "the customer is King" (Although, like fuel subsidy strike, I no trust my fellow country men as some people (most likely me too!) will sneak in the applications then and be halla-ing here like bull dogs). grin

In a nutshell sha, Na wah oh! How far with the tracking? If you track and no news, just chill and ignore "NOTICE TO CARRY ON TRACKING", the source will not make any difference!

Sorry guys, I understand the tension having been there. Just trying to add some humor in the house till the master (lillawow) resumes at his duty post.

ZionSpecie: Can we all fix a date for that here? For a gentle appeal.
The whole process does not just add up, giving room for speculations and conspiracy theories.

@Mercylicious, I am beginning to wonder if your Local Government quota is full and they are waiting for further allocation to call you having seemingly approved your TRV!

How can you detain passports of fellow human beings for so long and then.... The more you look, the less you see.

I no blame them sha, if we had developed our country who will be struggling to run elsewhere? An Ivorian just set himself ablaze in Italy (a country in recession) in-order to avoid deportation -Can it be so bad that a person will rather die than go back home?. Anyway, these VO's may be saying, 'Stay in your country and fight for your rights, we fought for ours and we are defending it daily as we hold our leaders accountable by the minute', but we no wan hear -instead we re-apply!. I am currently in India, it seems there is more poverty here but, at least I see ambulances running around with people in need of medical attention (In Naija, I only see Ambulances in Governors/ Presidents Convoy), I entered their old train today (A new one like the one in Dubai is currently under construction by a Chinese firm) and yes, there is power outage everyday BUT, just for 2 hours a day for maintenance (so you can plan) while they work on improvements.

Oyinbo go just laff at you if you go to demonstrate at CDHC. It's like frying pan and fire -Most people see Canada as the frying pan in this case. Instead of going to holla at CDHC, We should all be marching to Eagle Square in Abuja to say 'ENOUGH' and thereby quench the fire. Our first responsibility is to our Country.

If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich -John F. Kennedy (OUR GOVERNMENT WILL RATHER SPEND BILLIONS AS AVIATION INTERVENTION FUND WHICH WILL BENEFIT A FEW PEOPLE WHO CAN AFFORD TO FLY THAN SPEND MONEY IN DEVELOPING OUR RAILWAY SYSTEM WHICH WILL AFFECT MUCH MORE PEOPLE i.e including the workforce POSITIVELY).

Forgive me for the deviation, Sometimes one is so tensed up and needs to burst -Like the guy that wants to demonstrate (I no blame you O jare)! Having said what is on my mind, I don cool down now.
Oya back to the topic at hand...(At the rate CDHC is treating us I hope we will not have to change the topic to "NOT Traveling to Canada Soon!) grin

ezme: Those of us applying to Universities should just hope they get this 10days thing on track in time or we may end up not making sept start date. My school just mailed me saying they would make their decision 4months after deadline and that is July 2013.
Are you sure you are not on the waiting list? Coz if people turn down offers by not making financial commitments by June, the spots will be allocated to those wait-listed.

I hope they are being completely straightforward with you.

earthgreeners: It's February 2013..
All Fall 2013 candidates should please kindly inform us of the status of their application as admission acceptance letters would start popping in from 2day.
I got admission to Niagara and Humber colleges and the offers were uploaded on Ontario Colleges Application System (OCAS) today. I have accepted the Offer from Humber online via OCAS as well.

Both Schools sent me soft copies of admission letters earlier in the week.

Coleran: @siga cdhc requested that my friend pay 1 yr tuition but the college insisted he pay only the due fee on his loa.
Please what is your advise?
Though the question was for Siga. In my opinion, if he has the money, he should just wire it to the school with his student number and the purpose and then print the telex copy for the embassy. I do not think that the school will reject the money!
these embassy people can be funny. You don't want to give them an excuse to turn you down coz even if they make a mistake, they will not go back to review their judgement. The only appeal is to re-apply after they release your detained docs and passport.

Please, what date did they specify for your tuition payment?
26th June, 2013.

I applied through Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) to 3 institutions and have received offer letters from 2 of them. Humber is my preferred choice.

Hello house. Help me thank God as I sucessfully renewed my family's US visa today after being turned down last year for having a baby there. My main target is canny visa and hope my application scales through for fall 2013.
The queue at the US embassy in Abuja was something else as we were on queue from 9am till our interview @ 2.30pm.

TRV_IJN: I would advise you not to complicate your issues. even me who isn't a CDHC staff find the story phoney because you were consistent with your acceptance letter when filling the form (my own thoughts). when you get to Canada you can apply to extend your stay.
i advise you to be 100% truthful.

Gobi38: My people – I just found this tread when researching if student visa refusal can be appealed – Here is story o - My sister was called for her Medical in november, she completed her medical and submitted her package to VAC on the 14th of nov. On the 3rd of December – she got a call from the Embassy to pay her one year school fees and accommodation, all fees where paid on the 7th of December. She went to Canadian Embassy on the 10th of December (10am in the morning) and submitted her payment receipts at the Embassy (her school emailed her a pdf receipt format). Same day in the afternoon Embassy called her back claiming they still haven’t received her proof of payment; she informed them she has submitted the receipts in the morning. The following day the 11th of December – my sister went back to the Embassy (luckily for her – the Naija folks at the gate let her in). She met the Canadian Lady that called her the previous day – the lady confirmed everything is ok now and that they have received proof of school and accommodation payment. Since then my sister has been monitoring her status on line – Luckily her status changed on Monday the 24th. She went to VAC today (the 27th of December) to pick up her package – my people guess what – SHE WAS DENIED. My question is why put her through the stress of doing medical, calling her to pay one year school fees / accommodation. My people this one no be ordinary eye.
I am suspecting they did not received her proof of fees payment – then somebody just made a quick decision and denied her . The reason for denial don’t even make sense …….. letter included …. Sorry we cannot issue you visiting visa ( she applied for student not visiting ) ….. for the following reason …….. no travel history ……. No ties to Nigeria ---------------------------- This is a letter you issue to folks that don’t make it to medical stage …… I am really confused
In Africa, we try our best and leave the rest believing that God eventually does what is best for us. With these guys, the more you look, the less you see/ understand. Sometimes they distract applicants with issues that are not really the foundation for decision making. If better alternatives don't come up, try again as unfortunately, VO's hardly own up when they make mistakes in closing a case (seems like a general unwritten rule, perhaps not to create a precedent).
