Why not repair your local roads first?
Any infrastructure project in nigeria is not a white elephant in my opinion. and for the fact about "local" roads, isnt that what your state and local gov are for. this is a federal highway. the federal gov is for interstate issues not intra. |

NIGERIA still has a chance, Argentina will beat Greece 10- 0 and nigeria can beat south korea by two goals to advance, so its not over, But how the hell did OBASI miss that open goal, i was on the edge of my seat during that drive, EPIC FAIL obasi, it would had mad the score 2:1 Nigeria ![]() |
but you cant believe every you here. people just say things to get attention |
The numbers are obviously inflated. 3000 is a bit to much. i feel its around 600 to 800. just imaging mend having 3000 people. they could have easily taking over abuja. but instead got their A$$ kicked by the JTF. ABOUT WHAT 3000 LOOKS LIKE https://observers.france24.com/files/images/parade1.jpg |
whats with this "anti-north" thing again . the feds did steal some money but didn't the niger delta states and local governments receive billions of dollars from the feds and oil companies. but it was the niger delta leaders that spent the money. people are quick to forget.anyway good for them if they find oil. lets just hope greed doesnt come into play. |
who cares if one country is copying another. in fact, the designs many buildings in washington D.C. and around the world came from architectural styles from foreign empires. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_Revival_architecture a few examples are temple from the Greek empire https://passionweiss.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/parthenon001.jpg USA Supreme court Egyptian Empire Spire https://img64.imageshack.us/img64/2567/zzzegypt9uo.jpg Washington monument https://www.seniortravelservice.com/gallery/washington%20dc/washington-monument-picture.jpg |
Nigeria’s unemployment rate rises to 10m Statistics on the nation’s labour force just released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has indicated that about 9,969,649 Nigerians were unemployed as at March, 2009.http://www.businessdayonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=11422:nigerias-unemployment-rate-rises-to-10m-&catid=85:national&Itemid=340 |
A job is a regular activity performed in exchange for payment. the average Nigerian is self employed selling theirs goods or services in informal markets such as hawkers, okada, drivers, market traders, vendors etc. all thoses are considered jobs. so yea, at worst nigeria's unemployment rate should be in the 25-30% and not the 80% some people are saying on here. |
Why not just annex Niger to Nigeria? , Just an idea, The article said that "about seven million people in Niger - about half the population - are short of food". and that these hungry people are flocking to Nigeria. we might as well annex the land that these 7 million ppl are coming from. and use the minerals in there land to help them, or help ourselves. ![]() |

You should never mix tribes, religion or culture with politics, its poison. i think who ever wants to run should run. this hole "tribe taking political turns" is such B.S. Its really silly. it may sound good on paper but in real life its pointless like communism. I wish GJ best of luck. ps: Becomerich Hadejia has a population of about 47,400 As of 1991 and about 90,000 today, while Abeokutahas a population of about 500,000. and dont spam this thread. |
No0o0o0o0o. if this is true, it would be horrible ![]() . but this is horrible news |
FACTS: - This airport is mainly a transportation hub for goods that will be made for the lekki free trade zone. it will also be an airport serving the lekki area. - "Air Cargo is a US$50 billion business that transports 35% of the value of goods traded internationally and a critical part of the airline business which, as a whole, is the US$490 billion heart of a value chain that supports 32 million jobs and US$3.5 trillion of economic activity world wide. It is an important industry that is critical to global business." - This airport will not be located in Lekki Phase 1. it will be built on the lekki peninsula about 50km away from V.I. so all this congestion tall is B.S - The airport is one of the main parts of the free trade zone, if not built why would anyone invest thier business into the project. - free trade zone targets to create a minimum of 2 million jobs and high efficiency services in Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, Electronics, mechinery, automobiles, etc. |
What’s so bad about it? You all are acting like you won’t do the same thing if you had a billion dollars. I know if you all had that kind of money, you'll go on a spending spree buying Rolls Royce, Mansions, and maybe drop 20 million to literally buy Beyonce. Real I believe if you got the money, you can do what ever you want with it. If he want to help the poor it’s his choice, and if he wants to pleasure himself so what. It’s his money, why the hell should you care. And this wedding is considered “little”. Some rich people will spend up to $60 million on their weddings. http://fhyatt.net/most-expensive-wedding-top-10-list/ |

There is always a thrilling adventure awaiting the tourist visiting Cross River State, from the soaring plateaus of the mountain tops of Obudu, to the Rain forests of Afi, from the waterfalls of Agbokim and Kwa, to the spiralling ox-bow Calabar River, which provides sights and images of the Tinapa Business Resort, Calabar Marina, Calabar Residency Museum and the Calabar Slave Park along its course.[flash=600,450] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHva6kCGFKQ&hl[/flash] [flash=600,450] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulw8zAzv9is&hl[/flash] |
Beaf:That is true, but for some reason Nigerians in Nigeria don’t seem to get it, its very sad. Instead of fighting against it, they just allow it to happen. Same with corruption, they know that their state governors are stealing billions of naira from state funds but no one does anything, it just amazes me. This happens all over Africa and no one does anything. Nigerians need to stand up for them selves and make key decision that will help them. Sitting around will not solve anything. And I think Nigeria needs more of a revolution than a break up. |
in that case, citing from what other people and gadaffi said, then the whole of africa should split up along ethnic lines. infact south american counties should also split along ethnic lines. the middle east and asia also. point is nigeria has the same problems as many african countries, we are not alone. we have the same problems as some central-south american, middleastern, and asian countries. if breaking up was the answer so why dont we see it happen often? and if so what problem does it solve nothinghow will it split north vs south or tribal spliting? and dont give me some bullshit answer or any wikipedia citing |
how come he doesnt say that about Arab countries. Sudan (civil wars, genocide, drought, rebel movements and south sudan), Lebanon (terrorism, Christians, Sunnis and Shia republics), Iraq (terrorism, Kurd republics, Shia and Sunni). These countries have way more problems than nigeria. And if nigeria does divide, IT WILL NOT SOLVE ANYTHING. isnt there tribal killing in all parts of nigeria, and even sometimes (rarely) killing within tribal groups. And everyone knows that corruption plagues every part of Nigeria. Also if you realize it or not, Nigeria is progressing…we are currently in the beginning faze of progression. Our economy is improving ( ranked 33 ), investors are investing heavily in Nigeria, jobs are being created, our governors in states like Lagos, rivers, cross river, kaduna, enugu, among others are currently developing their state infrastructure and doing good to their communities. believe me, 5-10 years from now you won’t recognize Nigeria anymore. The only thing messed up with Nigeria is politics in the fed, state, local and corruption is the leading cause of this. |
