Jatuski: *Condemns demolishing of Bayelsa properties
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Yekini Nabena, has slammed the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for ordering demolition of Bayelsa State properties located in Port Harcourt.
Nabena warned the outgoing Governor Wike not to extend what he described as "political drunkenness" beyond Rivers State, adding that state properties should not be used to settle personal political scores between the two governors.
The Rivers State governor had ordered demolition of two properties belonging to the Bayelsa State Government.
Wike also reportedly told newsmen that he did not regret authorizing the demolition of the said properties in Port Harcourt, the state’s capital, claiming that he had urged Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State to renovate the dilapidated property located along Akasa Street in the old government residential area because it defaced the area.
But in a statement released on Friday, the Bayelsa born APC chieftain, condemned Wike's action, adding that the governor was only trying to fight Diri dirty politically, using state properties.
Nabena warned the outgoing governor Wike not to cause unnecessary rivalry between both Rivers and Bayelsa, which are sister states, with a long history of cordiality, adding that the matter could have been amicably resolved.
According to Nabena, demolishing Bayelsa State properties, a neighbouring state, is a total disrespect to the people of Bayelsa and the Ijaw Nation at large.
Nabena said despite Wike's political intimidation of his people in Rivers State, the just concluded 2023 general election has shown that the people of Rivers State are sick and tired of Wike's style of politics and they can't wait for May 29 to come for him to leave and become history.
He said: "As a Bayelsa son, I felt slighted and offended that Governor Wike is trying to rewrite history by redefining a long time relationship between Rivers state and Bayelsa state.
"The whole world is in the know the political rivalry between Governor Wike and Governor Diri of Bayelsa State within their People's Democratic Party (PDP). Such is not new in politics but fighting a whole state and Ijaw Nation because of their individuals political ego is way beyond comprehension.
"In 2019, when the going was good between the two governors, Wike even spearheaded the Supreme Court case against the APC. At that time, Wike did not think of demolishing Bayelsa State properties but because Governor Diri did not support Wike's failed presidential ambition during PDP's primary election, he has suddenly woke up remember that Bayelsa state properties are defacing an area in Port Harcourt. This is unacceptable.
"I will, therefore, call on Governor Wike to limit his dictatorship and political drunkenness to Rivers State. The Ijaw Nation will not tolerate disrespect, Bayelsa people will not bow to Wike's god and as a state, Wike cannot force his political interest over us, Bayelsa is not Rivers," Nabena warned.
While calling on the elders and Chief in Ikwere land to call Wike to order, the APC chieftain also urged the Rivers State governor not to undermine the Ijaw Nation.
"Governor Wike should rather sort out his personal political problem with Governor Douye Diri and never try to undermine the Ijaw Nation.
I know everyone is looking for a bad name to give to a dog, Wike can be this and that, but in this issues if the River State government has written to Bayelsa state government in 2021 with regards to development of the property then they are right in whatever action they take. You don't wait for them to take an action and you rush to Media house saying it's politics, Question to Bayelsa government did Rivers state wrote you concerning the property ? And if yes what action did you take since 2021?
Let's not turn everything to politics in this country, husband and wife in different political parties would say everything in the house is all about politics.
I really don't know what you do for a living, seriously, because I don't understand you at all, what is your business with labor party? And who the chairman is ? Are you going to decide for who Obi would acknowledge as chairman? As Lamidi conducted himself in a right manner, for someone to even reason with him.
Agreed there is an issue in the party wisdom would suggest that issues those not affect the court case because whoever wins would inherit whatever that's left, instead he is dragging for sitting position in court. Telling you the man is not wise, follow up your case in court while the tribunal continues, if not for Obi who is labor party. He is bragging he has been in the party for 21 yrs without any impact, but Obi less than a year has a governor, senator, lots of house of representative, house of assembly you should be thankful to the Obidients, thanks the Senate has approved independent candidate, if not this by next election cycle you will see what will happen

FreeStuffsNG: The Moment Pa Lamidi Cursed An Obidient For Removing Cap From His Head
On the issue that led to the removal of his cap by angry youths that attacked him at the court premises, he said: “As you can see, I have recovered my cap. But as for the person that removed my cap, he will suffer till the end of his life.
“I saw him. He is a young chap but he will never grow old,” he added
This is deep if you understand Yoruba. Pa Lamidi Apapa has used afoshe and spat on the ground to curse that unruly disrespectful member of the mob.
Which curse ? For someone that has collected bribed against the wishes of the people, it will go back to his children, I look at people insulting Obidients for their actions, you guys think you would sit and power would come to you, you have to make efforts to collect it, we want Nigeria to be good we have to fight for it. Let APC supporters continue, they would be disappointed on the long run, just watch as the dollar go up to N1000, because Tinubu has to borrow to run the government and steal from also.
Apapa is a disgrace, if people like apapa was around during the the struggle for independence, the British would have bribed him to say no. I shame for the guy. For the curse nothing would stand, he is just bringing a pile of coal on his head, those that know him should warn to stay away from all this and live his retirement in peace, its never too late, the money left with him should be returned back, we would still forgive him, but if he continues on this path, he is going to live the life of a sad man till his is called to Glory.
Penguin2: One of the, if not the only, line of defense of Tinubu supporters since incontrovertible evidences emerged that Peter Obi won Rivers but INEC criminally called it for Tinubu as has been reported by a lot of reputable media platforms including the BBC, is that “even if the Rivers result is added to Obi, he will still not be above Tinubu.”
One of them (Ireportlive) even went as far as admitting that Lagos was equally rigged for Tinubu but that even if both Lagos and Rivers results are given to Obi (the original owner by the way), he’d still top Tinubu.
But are there really no implication to these reports of Obi winning Rivers? Is it as easy as Tinubu supporters are trying to make it sound? I guess not.
The first thing to consider here is that if the evidences become overwhelming that the PEPT was convinced that Peter Obi won Rivers, and they decide to add the state to him, the implication is that Tinubu will be left with 11 states where he secured victory while Obi will now move to 13 states. What this means is that if at the end of the Tribunals, the courts decide to order a run off, it will now be between Tinubu who won simple majority of votes and Peter Obi who won most states of 13 against Atiku’s 12.
Furthermore, if Obi is able to prove in court that it is not only Rivers State that his votes were taken, that it happened in other states, and the court agrees to recalculate the numbers, Obi might not end up topping Tinubu but he’d most likely end up displacing Atiku to become the second person in the election. The implication of this is that in the event that Tinubu is disqualified, for whichever of the many grounds seeking his disqualification, it is Peter Obi, not Atiku, that would then become the direct beneficiary of his disqualification.
Then lastly, if it can be proven that INEC manipulated results in Rivers to favour Tinubu, how are we sure it is not what they did nationwide? INEC would have to show cause why it should not be believed that they used the Rivers template nationwide in support of Tinubu.
So, my point is that Tinubu supporters should not take the reports of Obi winning Rivers as inconsequential. It has the tendency to cause a spiral that could further nail Tinubu’s chances.
Nyesom Wike was more of a curse to Tinubu than a blessing. He’d end up being Tinubu’s undertaker.
It's not only Rivers state, Lagos, Plateau, Ekiti, the way it work is plus for Obi minus for Tinubu, it will shock people at the end of the day
Ofunaofu: Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to cancel the study leave purported granted to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
The governor said Emefiele does not deserve to go on such leave due to his monetary policy which he called “a disastrous naira swap policy” that subjected Nigerians to untold hardship.
Reports emerged last week that Buhari granted a study leave to the CBN governor which will see him travel out of the country.
But in reaction to the news, Matawalle said Buhari should forfeit the leave to necessitate peaceful transition of power.
He, however, lavished praises on the President describing him as a patriot, democrat and a man of impeccable integrity and character.
Matawalle said Buhari has also demonstrated good faith by showing his readiness for a seamless transfer of power to the incoming administration.
“President Buhari and his wife Aisha Buhari have shown good faith and shown they want a seamless orderly and peaceful transfer of power to the incoming administration,” Matawalle said.
“They are eager to ensure that the new regime takes off smoothly and speedily and in a manner devoid of any encumbrance in the interest of our country.
“This is the right thing to do and I commend President Buhari and his wife for their statesmanly conduct.
“However, other officers in the government have acted in a different manner. They are behaving as if they want to put spanners in the work for the incoming regime.
“President Buhari should not allow this. He should frown at any attempt by any person seeking to damage the good job he has done.
“I want, here and now, to urge President Buhari to not approve any study leave or whatever kind of leave for any officer critical to the take-off of the incoming administration of Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“One of such persons that has been speculated in the media to have sought a study leave is Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele.
“If the leave has been approved, as reported in the media, the President should cancel it in the interest of peaceful transfer of power, accountability and good governance.”
Matawalle said Emefiele must be made to account for all that transpired under his watch to the incoming administration.
“CBN Governor Emefiele superintended over the management of the country’s financial and monetary systems. He is the one who initiated and implemented the recent disastrous naira swap policy, the naira confiscation program, which put Nigerians through untold woes and trauma and set our economy backwards,” he said.
“Two of my brother-governors and I took the federal government to court over this ill-advised policy and fought resolutely until we got a respite for our people from Emefiele and company.
“This same Emefiele now wants to proceed on study leave when he has some 10 months left of his tenure apparently in a bid to evade rendering accounts. This is unacceptable.
“President Buhari should not countenance this. Emefiele must stay at his job to give full accounts of all that transpired under his watch to the incoming administration.
“He must answer all the questions the new regime may have for him particularly when he still has some months left of his tenure.”
Matawalle also asked Buhari not to approve foreign postings or grant any foreign trips for any officer at any level in the outgoing government.
“I’m aware that some officers in the outgoing government are moving to surreptitiously leave the country at this critical time they are needed to answer to specific questions, though I would not want mention their names here,” he added.
“President Buhari should not heed their inordinate and unpatriotic plan. These plans are dangerous and devilish. They show clearly that these officers have something to hide.
“This must be halted immediately. Any plan to evade rendering accounts is neither in the interest of accountability, transparency and anti-corruption.”
The Presidency had said it was unaware of the purported decision of Buhari granting study leave to Emefiele.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said this while reacting to inquiries from Daily Trust.
The presidential spokesman had said: “If the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has been granted study leave supposedly by President Muhammadu Buhari, this is unknown to us. It is also unknown to the President’s secretariat headed by the Chief of Staff.”
Whatever your proof, you don't take laws into your hands, you will certainly go to jail for this one, you slapped a uniformed police man on duty, guy you have nothing to say, they will use you as an example. When you see police now discipline their officers for slapping civilians, now you go slap police say you get proof, lawyers in the house, how many years are we looking at?

obembet: The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)- One year of joy, challenges, tears and VICTORY.
Its a thing of joy and great privilege to serve our fathers land. Several people have stated their own opinion about NYSC, Some said it’s a scam, some said it’s a complete waste of time, and so on, but but to me, I see a things of Joy to serve my father's Land.
I served my dear country in one of the most beautiful state in the Nigeria, (Akwa Ibom) even though I was not happy about the village I was posted for my PPA but the villagers proved to me that Akwa Ibom people are the most wonderful tribe in Nigeria when it comes to taking care of strangers and cooking the best soup
I served in 2015/2016 batch B stream II at Nkot Nseyen, ikono local Government, Akwa Ibom state and my PPA was nkot Nseyen community secondary school.
If you are privilege to serve in Nkot Nseyen village, your one year service will be full of fun and you will beg federal government to give you extra year
My experience were mostly exciting with the Akwa Ibom people and their soup, I remember I tasted periwinkle soup for the first time there but I shouted when I was unable to break the periwinkle with my teeth, I later learn how to suck it
So my fellow Nairalanders, it's NYSC is 50!!! Please tell the world where and when you served and share your little experience in one sentence

How much is your monthly salary, how many salary earners can afford this just one date, even if my salary is 1.5m in month that is way too much for a date, I am not saying people can't do more than that, for the multi millionaires and billionaires well that is small things for them, not me with just a little over 10m in my savings if I do ten of this kind of dates in a year I go pack go village, there are places cheaper and nice they could hang out and pay half or less than half of the Bill.
That serves her right, can't they eat with the fear of God in them, they eat with wickedness in their heart, next time I guys ask you out you have to order with moderation, because you are not the one paying then you want to kill him, if you don't trust him then stay on your own.
Well they both are great governors that did well in their respective states, that's all I can say, if other governors after them can do same or more then those states would be great states in 16yrs time
