The bank just did the highest EYE SERVICE. I just found out that most of what the staff did was due to fear of being punished by therir control dept. I hear their control dept usually punish them for opening account without complete references.
How could the guy combine attending to customers complaints, opening accounts and going out to another bank to confirm reference? I understand he is the sole customer attendant in the whole branch.
Who are those that made the processes and policies?
Why sacrifice him instead of changing your anti customer polices and processes then caution him and correct him. Am sure he would have become a better person.

What did their customer care head quarters do after the first email from the dissatisfied guy?
Did they contact the sacked branch to give directive on how best to handle?
Do they have a written document shown to the staff on how best to handle such situation?

This is oppression in my opinion. My account officer once worked in UBA b4 she was fired for not bringing money.
They sacrifice defenseless staff to save their poor faces.
The environment of most of their branches and almost nationwide poor customer service shows the have an endemic systemic problem, not the staff.

Yeye, they still hammer my account N100.00 every month. I no dey put 10kobo there again. My sister left over N150k in her account and traveled for three years, when she returned, instead of the money growing, the money shrank to about 90k. Wonder bank. The one she had in Intercontinental bank grew.
In Enugu, if you use your business account cheque for withdrawal or you issue a cheque below 100k. They charge you 105 naira for over the counter withdrawal meanwhile FCMB and Diamond charge me that only on my personal account.
I applied for N500k to do a liitle supply job. They told me they can only give me 25% of my monthly turnover and that I must have C of O. We dragged for 3 months and I lost the job to a bank trusted and banked with for 11 years. Just 500k. When I have given them millions in 11 years without collateral.
Diamond bank has been supportive to my little venture and it's been great. Now UBA staff are comming after me for deposits. That's only what they know. They would not help you grow.
They sack their staff every day. My acc officer in Diamond was sacked by UBA for not bringing money. She is celebrated in Diamond bank today. An excellent banker. Very supportive.
UBA should just repent. They pilfer accounts with charges too much just like Access bank lately according to my friend.

TINAPA project was well conceived outside the regular Nigerian political parochialism. the sate was expected to provide primary infrastructure which it did under Donald Duke and passionately so.
FG under OBJ was expected to provide the necessary regulations and legislations to get it fired up.....FG did not.
What was FG supposed to do in details (which OBJ gave Duke his words even publicly but insincerely).

1) Sponsor an executive bill to declare TINAPA duty free for imports of manufacturing inputs.
2) Dredge Calabar River to allow for heavy berths.
3) Join the Eastern Rail network to Calabar and other parts of Nigeria where Tinapa would serve.

These was later seen as a hammer blow to the South West economy.
The my northern brothers were scared to further empower the East and South South.

On the university, we need more ppl yo invest in education but should be made affordable to many... the missionaries schools were affordable to many.
