When you try to start the car (when hot), it stalls, quietens, then stalls again and then may refuse to start until you wait for several minutes and try again. Don't know how else to describe it. This only happens when hot.

Experienced brothers what could be the cause? The car starts normally when engine is cool, but when you drive around for some time and then put off the engine, if you try to start it back almost immediately it drags slowly and refuses to start one hand .

Also, the acceleration is poor when trying to ascend a hilly road. Sounds like it's struggling (like exhaust leakage kinda sound), but it's not the exhaust.

I'll appreciate any expert advice on this before I take it to the mechanic, to avoid rip-off.

2 things please:

1. My 2003 highlander v6 awd starts up in the morning with a very low idling rpm, it even goes off at times. It eventually gets to the normal rpm after driving for a while.

How do I resolve this?

2. How do I confirm if the catalytic converter is still in place ?

I have a Honda baby boy V6. The inner cylinders are leaking out power or air. Even if you remove the three socket plug, the engine will not go off which means that the entire inner cylinder is not working. The mechanic said the valves are bend and bad. He has granded another valves but yet the sound is not normal. Now, he suggest I change the engine. The car start one hand, the engine not smoking.
Gurus in the house, what do you suggest.

I have an Honda Civic 2005 manual transmission. I have not any problem with it until recently, while driving and after few miles, the car abruptly loses power and stops. All efforts to restart immediately always prove abortive.The first time this issue occurred, I called a road side mechanic, he couldn't get it done and after some minutes it start all by itself. Few days after i drove about a couple of block and when I have to slow down or stop, the car stops running again. It may do this 1 or 2 times until I get to my destination. I will just leave the car sits for like 10 to 15 minutes sometimes hours and then it will start again. This may not occur again for days but then all of a sudden, the same thing happens. No engine lights come on and both my mechanic and rewire said they cannot replicate the problem and cannot figure out what is wrong as the battery, ignition, kick, alternator, few pump and nuzzle have all been diagnosed and are all good.
I am now frustrated after this occurring the 5th time and cannot be diagnosed, please help!
