I'm using a 1996 Toyota Camry ( Orobo). I recently noticed the fuel consumption has increased. Using 5000-7000k fuel in 2days ( I drive between Mokola and Old Ife Road, Ibadan.) I don't know if you're familiar with this axis Sir.


I gave it to my Rewire, he said its the fuel guage that is miscalculating, I have spent close to 8k on the fuel gauge alone and the problem is still there. . I don't even know what next to do.


Problem 2:
My AC gas hardly last 2weeks. I have chnaged almost all the pipes/holes of the AC. Still the problem keep showing..


I know You gonna telll me to go Scan the car first,I don't know where i can do that in Ibadan, I'll appreciate if Nairalanders can recommend a trusted one for me here..

Some of us use synthetic oil, so we will not change oil when oil life gets to zero at 2000miles with engine oil still very neat.. We will reset the oil life and continue till 4-5k miles

On a funny note.

So I rebuilt a 13B rotary engine for a Mazda truck I was messing with and after I put it all together and installed the engine in the car, I noticed an O ring that was left over.

So these were the days before internet (yeah I'm a dinosaur) . I went to a local speed shop adn showed them the O ring. One guy recognized it as an important oil passage ring and the car will not build pressure without it.

I called the mail order place where I bought the rebuilt kit (I think it was JC Whitnney) and they pulled some gasket kits, some had one O ring, some had 2 O rings,

So guess what I had to do?

Yep, the O ring was installed already.

Oh the joys of engine rebuilds. Now I'm spoiled as I just have a video camera going while I'm working on cars so I can review if I did a step.

So many car-owners are bloody liars.
I once paid comittment fee for a Nigerian used car, and it was a nightmare of troubles. From day1 to the last day of rental.

Personally, I prefer tokunbo cars but, they are not easy to come by.

Some car owners started with tokunbo cars too, but the cars depreciated too rapid and became "dead".
Others have their cars still waxing strong, but very few though.

My advice to you, as a newbie, borrow money and pay commitment fee for a reliable car, but ensure you have a tight agreement with the car owner, in event you are given a dead car in disguise.

Also, I noticed the engine light indicates P1135 and P1155.qyne because of the leak..

Any adcicw now seal the leak a s fix the is sensors

Thanks boss....water pump is fix but later the car stop jerking and refuse to start that why I later toll it, all I notice is when on motion, the car refuse to move, it look like I press break when I accelerate and later some light when off, horn too

It's not easy at all after some weeks small work on uber....and the moment village ppl want to collect d money back, yesterday going to Ibadan, few minutes to ogere(middle toll gate) check engine light come up on dashboard, for the first time since am using d car,park at ogere to check it, I notice no water again in d radiator, buy pure water to top it na so water dey link from water pump chai which kind village ppl be this all this kazzem Don come out to help but I no talk anything, after 1hrs, all toll vehicle asking 25k to Lagos or Ibadan,latet I settle for one kazzem to check make I comot, change d water pump,spent 8k this around 7:30 pm, journey Continue, when get to quarry the car stop again at middle of bush, first radio light went off, car jerking and full light too not seem full, and the car did not start, not bat3 issue, later later I use 15k toll it to Ibadan toll gate again.... That worst of my journey so far..... All money just go like that....it not easy to be a man....God bless our hustle,
