Lastly, your parent's (mom in particular) reservation indirectly beclouded your thought and you suggesting you put the wedding on hold gave him the opportunity to think through the entire thing. Perhaps, you guys were going on a fast lane and that statement made him think and also, have conversation with his folks who might have felt with this much troubles from external influences before the wedding, he should just save his head.

Like the Yorubas will say, "Oju to ma ba ni kale, kin ti a ti owuro se pin" implying, whatever would last long doesn't stress you from inception. You both are lucky in your ways and you both should see it as each party is right with his/her decision.

As someone who has schooled both in the US and Canada, I will tell you Canada is the place you can do it.

For example, if you are able to get the oil field servicing work many people do in the summer, you make so much that you can use to pay the tuition for the next semester. During regular semester, you might be able to get a job on campus where you can work as much hours that does not affect your studies to help you live your life.

Fortunately, the case with Akwa Ibom sshould be viewed, addressed and handled very differently.

For your memories, Obi was the Governor of Anambra when Godswill Akpabio was the Governor of Akwa Ibom.

Obi's wife is from Akwa Ibom, just like Akpabio's wife is from Anambra.

Peter Obi was far less performing compared to Akapbio when they both were governors (2007-2015)

Akpabio was so transformative that he extended his developmental projects to neighbouring States like Cross River, Abịa, etc.

I wonder if Obi did the same.


Akpabio embarked upon at least 3 major projects in Anambra, because the wife was from there, (go and verify), whereas, Peter Obi did non in Akwa Ibom.
