OP, the fact that you refer to her as JOBLESS insinuates to me that you may be mean to her with your words. I don't like men that describe their partners negatively because your reaction to her will also reek of negativity. Also, aren't you being a hypocrite? You have come to a forum of strangers to express yourself but you don't want your wife to do the same with her trusted people? SMH... huh

You should speak to her to let her know that you don't like this however you cannot take away her source of vent outlet. we all need to vent, therefore you should be prepared to suggest an alternative and this can either be you - you must be open and ready to listen to her without judgement, you'd have your own time too where you can vent to her or have a good and respected counsellor.

Remember that both of you are on a learning journey, you should patiently teach her your ways and be tolerant with her and you will get to mould her to your perfection, eventually. It takes time and patience and you will get your happiness. Nothing good comes easy!
It's a faceless forum thus, the people involved are not known to us. It is better sometimes than telling your siblings your partner's shortcomings.
FamilyRe: My Wife Bad Mouth Me A Lot To Her Parents And Siblings, What Should I Do? by GboyegaD(m): 11:14pm On Oct 20, 2022
I just read your post and I have this advice for you.

Sit your wife down and let her know the repercussion of her act. Make her realize no one loves her more than herself and the consequence of her actions is that it might break your home. Make her see reasons that should that happen, no one will resort to her family members to ask them what role they played in breaking her home rather, the world will see you both as immature.

Lastly, make her understand you both are not perfect however, you both need to work on how to get each other's back. She should be mindful of the information she gives to her family members because she isn't making a mockery of you but herself particularly if the siblings pass the information across to their spouse or friends.

You guys should stop all this useless cheap and nonsense propaganda. I repeat with all evidence on ground. Nobody was killed at Lekki Toll Gate on 20/10/2020. You guys are pathetic liars. Nigerian Army was only there to unit Nigeriana and make them celebrate the protest. Even self they gave few Nigerians ride and the gun shot heard were just knockouts that useless Nigerians confused themselves. If any Nigerian is seen at the gate may they shoot the person to death. Useless youths.
Wouldn't it be better you keep quiet than spew this thrash? If Sanwo-Olu admitted lives were lost who are you to say no life was lost? In all of this to trend, may you not experience the loss the family of the victims suffered before your eyes of understanding are opened.

He wasn't doing so intentionally, and when he's in that state, all caution will be thrown to the wind.. it doesn't matter who was watching, kids or the neighbors...
It's a cry for help..for those who actually admits that they really need help..
It is well. I just feel one learns to make some conscious efforts not to make same mistakes over and over as one gets older.

Na so my bro, especially the northern Muslims. They tell you that family planning is a sin!
It happens in all religions. I knew a man growing up who was heading the prayer unit of the church. 5 years into marriage, he had 4 kids. The pastor advised him on the need to watch it since he was funded by the church and his wife wasn't working. The man left the church for another ministry and to date, I find it appalling that someone chooses to be unreasonable in the name of Genesis 1 vs 28.

My dear, this country is just disorganized with disorganized & selfish set of people. They want everything to favour only them, rather than everyone. Sometimes I regret being a Nigerian because of the biased mentality of most Nigerians. Religion, enthnicity/tribe have really eaten deep into us, & that's why we are where we are today, no progress at all.
I just want to enjoy my country & be proud of it for once, we've really suffered alot in this country. Some people are just so use to suffering that they don't care about the welfare of the country, they do whatever pleases them not minding the outcome.
The things that get me worried are statements like the one Atiku made about the North needing a Northern person to rule and not an Ibo or Yoruba man and the Southerners are the ones defending it. If Ayu said he will step down should a Northerner win the PDP primaries and he has chosen not to and people are blaming Wike and the other four governors for insisting Ayu steps down, I find it amusing.

That Tinubu decided to pick a Muslim for electoral purposes and the Christians are cool with it is also another story. We talk about equity and I wonder if we understand what it means. He makes jokes about the church all the time and in his defense, we are reminded Remi is a Pastor. To make matters worse, the Christians are the ones defending him.

Overall, I feel we all are educated but lack an understanding of the basic principles that guide life. In the end, Yoruba will say "Bi a ba ta ara ile eni l'opo, to ba di owon, a oni ri ra" which means when you ridicule your family, where they should be valued, they will be mocked. This is the situation of the South.

As for me, the most important thing I love about Peter Obi's leadership is all about cutting cost of governance. He knows how to cut cost of governance, & his type is very essential now because, Nigeria is really in a huge debt. We are collapsing as a country, & I'm surprise some people are pretending not to notice it, the country is not working, yet people are campaigning for APC/PDP. some people are just not sensible, they are just after their selfish self & family, they're just so tribalistic & religious in their decisions, they're not considerate at all, they don't care about the common man at all, hence themselves, family, & friends are rich they don't care about you. Just look at the situation of our country, yet people will still be campaigning for PDP/APC. Incase you don't know, in Dubai, the government pays their citizen, whether they're working not, they're being paid monthly; I think about 400k a month, each citizen of Dubai earn nothing less than 400k from the government, and some people will come here & be shouting APC/PDP. Some people no just get shame/conscience at all, make una dey deceive una self for this country, na when una go wake up oneday see una selves as slaves na dat time una eye go clear. Quote me; anybody who's supporting Tinubu/Atiku is very wicked, that person doesn't mean well for this country. That person wants to remain in darkness & perpetual suffering, that person doesn't want to move forward, & I reject such person.

Iam moving forward.
Many of us live for the now and the N10k to N20k they will make this season is more important to them than what holds for their future.

His open endorsement of Gov Sanwoolu is pure anti-party activity that PDP just have to deal with...

Atiku Won’t Apologise For ‘Yoruba, Igbo President’ Comment - Chidoka.

A former Minister of Aviation Osita Chidoka says Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won’t apologise over his Yoruba and Igbo president comment.
The former vice president had in a recent gathering advised northerners to vote for someone from the region in next year’s general election.

What the average Northerner needs is somebody who’s from the North and also understands that part of the country and has been able to build bridges across the country,” the PDP presidential candidate said.
This is what the Northerner needs. It doesn’t need a Yoruba or Igbo candidate. I stand before you as a pan-Nigerian of northern origin.

No Apologies!

The comment had generated heated debates and condemnations from several quarters but Chidoka maintained that Atiku does not need to apologize for the remark.

“I think we need to move beyond these political gimmicks and political gimmickry that goes on when people say one thing, we turn it the other way round and we use it for political ends. The point he is making is a very clear point – that we need a Nigerian president, somebody that would unify the country, will understand the issues, and be able to solve them.

So, I don’t think that it is a statement that warrants any apologies or discussions. It is for Vice President Atiku to continue to explain himself to the public. We still have four months in the campaign so he needs to go out and explain his agenda that he is a Nigerian president that is desirous of making sure that all parts of Nigeria feel wanted in Nigeria, and feel united.
He needs to unify the country to be able to propose the difficult solutions that must be applied to make this economy and the country work again.

The PDP chieftain described the debates generated by Atiku’s comment as “unfortunate”.
Why should he? Haven't we sold our self worth? Don't you see the South fighting themselves to support the North?

Until we stop the ass licking, they will keep taking us for granted.

I pity that company, this single act will turn the other workers loyalty to the company away and you know what that means.

Better look for a way to advice the board or try and discuss with them on how to follow @prof2007 suggestions.
That is what they are trying to avoid so that he can be seen as the bad person. Once they use him, it is left for them to set him up and fire him.

BabaCommander:
It's only someone with the full facts of what's on the ground that would know the best way and timing to do this.

This really should not be a problem, except the reason to fire him is not productivity related.
I always wonder where these managers that seeks advise online from.

You can load the old tuckey with more responsibilities he can't handle,...just make him know he's not valuable anymore. He will be the one ti go by himself.

There are many ways ..as a diplomat in HRM...

It's a big task actually but one need to be bold and direct since the order is from the top management...you will have to deliver your message.

Call a round table meeting with few others..so it won't look like only one person is involved....
Start your conversation like you are praising him for all that he has done for the company BUT..then Deliver your actual message and please let he or she knows that it's from the top....

prof2007:
Hiring and firing are realities of corporate life.

Nonetheless, those companies and managers that understand the importance of human resources will always endeavour to treat their workers with dignity, courtesy and consideration, even when they have to let them go.

Thus, the manager or supervisor who has been given the assignment to fire this long-serving worker should endeavour to do the following:

1. Convince management to give some time/funds to prepare the staff for the disengagement e.g. by arranging a pre-retirement course for the staff.

2. Ensure that the staff is given a letter of disengagement that highlights the worker's positive contributions during his years of service, and that expresses appreciation for same.

3. Convince management to provide a disengagement package (golden handshake) for the staff, in addition to his normal disengagement package.

4. If possible, arrange a send-forth outing for the staff.

Of course, the above only applies if the staff was a loyal and diligent staff who is not being disengaged for a serious offence!
Don't be overzealous ooo. Why did they manage him for that many years? You did not hire him, he's likely been with them before you were born so why can't management fire him?

All these steps na inexperience they cause an and that is what they are leveraging on.

Someone has been directed to fire an employee who has been with the company for more than 40 years. The order is from top management and this person is wondering how to do this. Is there any procedure for the summary disengagement of someone in their 60s who seems to have spent all their working life in the company?
The person should not let them use him. To management can fire him/her if they so wish. It is obvious the firing is unjust and they are only trying to pin it on this overzealous staff.
If they could manage him for 40 years and you inherited the staff that way, let the staff be. Don't be used as a tool for destruction to reap the staff of his benefits.
