Tell your friend you may have to leave him in the apt and move to another at the end of the lease as you are not comfortable with the prayers of his girlfriend. If he thinks he still wants to be roommates with you, he will find a way to make her understand you are not comfortable and she needs to reduce the volume of prayers. |

Why not God delivered her? I know God has a different name and meaning to each of us however, what I don't understand why people would say it is the God of a particular person that heard them as though they do not have direct access to God themselves as well. |

safarigirl: Somebody enrolled her child in a daycare and the child died. It was all over the internet just two months ago The child was 3 months old.
Guess who got blamed?
See ehn, it is very easy to criticise people when you are not in their shoes. When you guys start having kids, you will know that expectations are different from reality Madam, please stop generalizing. Some of us are fathers already and we know reality. |

safarigirl: Just one question
Who will stay with the kids while they are not in school?
Which parent will leave their job and have to stay at home with these kids? They can enroll them in daycare or day homes. |
Education › Re: Why Parents Should Stop Enrolling Their Child To School Too Early. by GboyegaD(m): 12:12pm On Apr 02, 2022 |
I am amused at how parents enroll 1 year old kids in school. They now avoid daycare and day homes where the kids could interact with other kids and learn some social skills that is a requisite for life. |

nnekaike: The ikale's prepare theirs with MARUGBO leaves only, eaten with correct pupuru or pounded yam. It is their main/ native food.
The Edo's prepare their own with bitterleaf, scentleaf and uziza(optional).
If you want to enjoy any of these soups more try using Banga juice as your base instead of palmoil. Thanks for the clarification. |

amorprincesa: It depends the part of Edo your mom is from. I cook it maybe once in 2months. But it is a normal soup for the Binis. Perhaps my mom's family don't just see it as a normal soup. She's a Bini woman to the core. Like I said, because the Ikale people around me growing up made it more was why I reached my conclusion of it been an Ondo soup. |

descarado: I never heard ondo people make this soup. It's good to know. I love it. Maybe, they are nebors. folake4u: I don't know if Ondo people eat the soup. I just know it's more common with Edo folks.
Probably. I know it more around Ikale people. Sometimes, it could be the circle of influence we have around us. |

folake4u: The soup make sense oh.
It's an Edo native soup. Is it Edo or Ondo people. My mom is Edo and the only time I see them cook it was for special occasions. The Ikale people that I knew growing up will cook it on a normal day so it makes me feel it is more attributed to them than the Edo. |

Had a lecturer who complained I don't come to his office. He saw me after I had submitted my project one afternoon and wouldn't accept my simple greetings. I eventually greeted him in Yoruba but with a smirk on my face and he responded.
Each time I remember the incident, I laugh because I wouldn't respond to such greetings i.e. one that I know is not from a genuine heart.
Funny thing is he taught me 4 courses and I made no A in any of his courses which is still amusing till date. There's no lecturer that taught me two courses that I don't make at least an A. |

I think I get tired of chicken easily, I'll always prefer turkey because of it's oil or fats, but I'm stuck with eating chicken because live turkeys are expensive and I don't like the imported frozen ones I would say the same of chicken in stew however, for the air fried ones, I love them. Easy to make and are fresh. You make them when you want to eat them. |

lefemmechoclat: I kniw but he did win. What is a child support? Max 3k a month? He got citizenship off me, a 6ok mansion ,helped his parents because i helped get him there. I have lost. I could have remained singleand he could habe gone on and married a Nigerian who wont have to guess what he is saying is the truth or not. Now im stick with 4 kids and he can just go on. All cus i was used as a stepping stone. Im going for everythingi can. I would suggest you choose not to see it that way. He might not have thought about it that way and he was only following what he thought was the way to go. The very reason why I'm suggesting counseling so that you can let out your pain and begin to find way to free and ease your pains and begin to find ways to trust him again. Don't feed that thought that he used you. Before you came here, that wasn't your thought thus, don't let the things you read on here make you feel used because many supported his ideas. Truth is they don't know your pains, they wouldn't share your pains, and neither would they understand the plights of your children. |

lefemmechoclat: I am..im divorcing him getting my portion and moving on. quote author=KanwuliaExtra post=111402728]
You will need to find ways to continue ALONE. He is not planning to retire and grow old with you.
When he was making his plans, you should have been making yours. There is no “we” in a TYPICAL Nigerian marriage.
You will need to continue without him. Please, if possible, don't go this route. You both should seek counseling first and see if things can be worked out. Like I said, he's wicked, no doubt however, his thoughts could have attended from the thoughts some of the men on this thread are displaying. Let's for the sake of your marriage think about it as ignorance. Find a middle ground that works for both parties and where he's a major contributor to the family. As it is right now, he's at the losing end since he will have to pay child support but being the money, the children need both parents. |
