I believe the idea was a way to add flavour to a bland vegetable, to make it easier to eat and reap the nutritional benefits.

The idea of the steak in my opinion is to make it similar to regular steak.

As the plantain wey I get for house never ripe finish, wetin man go do?

I cut and blend with water, then sieve making sure I squeeze out almost all the water.
Put in non stick pot and start turning. As I turn, it gets softer.
Depending on the quantity, I can add 2 teaspoonful of ground oat or more and keep on turning. It may still be a little soft when I put it down but thickens as it cool down.

Oat is among the best binders one can get.

That's what I use for bitter leaf soup(strictly Quakers) and it's like 100% igbo cocoyam for soup.

Would give it a shot again l

Beans and bread topped with butter.

Cauliflower is veggie I don't play with.
Have been using that to do my poundo since Jan.
Sometimes I mix with white cabbage

How do you do it? I tried it one time but the stress was much and it wasn't as strong as I would like it.

I used cheese cloth to sieve the water and added psyllium husk.

Salmon must seem like fine dining, eh? I read someone make reference to Pacific salmon earlier and then inthecloudsky for her continuous salmon feasts.

I can't find fresh or even iced salmon where I am, only canned ones.

Check out Asian stores. They carry more fish varieties than others. This is my observation.

Recipe abeg... I love trying new things

Ingredients:
Bacon,
Potatoes,
Onions,
Garlic,
Butter,
Flour,
Whipping Cream,
Sour Cream,
Broth,
Cheese.

Render bacon to extract the oil, reduce the oil in half and add unsalted butter. Once the butter is melted, and your dice onions and garlic, thereafter, add flour to make a rue.

Add your broth to the rue and use your whisk or wooden spoon to ensure there are no pumps from the flour. Add your diced potatoes and allow it to cook. Then add your whipping cream, sour cream, rendered bacon, and cheese. Allow to cook and your soup is ready.

Dinner:

Pounded yam and white soup.

Rarely maybe because we try not to do things that will hurt the other.
