Nairaland GeneralRe: Soldiers Harass Civilians For Putting On Camouflage by gbrown(m): 5:33pm On Nov 18, 2013
Bros u get luck, i bought this army coloured bag for #5000 in kano, i bought the bag for the sole purpose of carrying excess load due to d nature of my job, i visited lagos, obalende area to be precise, suddenly i heard calls from different directions, it all happened so fast, one army officer asked if i was a force man, when i told him i wasn't, he registered one nafdac approved slap on my face, they kicked and punched me repeatedly, i heard one shouting, shoot am for yansh, bloody civilian, one of them rescued me by pulling me inside nipost office at obalende, i bought a new Ghana must go bag, emptied the contents of my army bag and made my exit via the back gate.
It,s so funny, when u consider the fact that lots of people wear full army uniforms in Senegal and go about thier daily chores, and there is no harassment from any quarter
I have quoted you bro.

From LIGHT to DARKNESS? I’m still laughing in Mandarin + Spanish!

*********************************************************************************************************

Alhamdulillah Robeel Alameen to hear this beautiful news. I'm just happy, may Almighty Allah shines His Nur (light) on them and give them more sustenance. I'm just too happy, over happy self. What a great news! One of the best news of this New Year 1435AH.

I pray Almighty Allah guide us and the rest to the straight path, Aameen and at the same time open the heart of the unbelievers, lift the veil covering their eyes, let them see that ISLAM is a perfect religion and it's a religion of peace.

NB: PLEASE DISREGARD ANY NEWS SAYING THAT THEY WERE PAID SOME MONEY, WE CONFIRMED THAT THE MONEY WAS GIVING ON THEIR BEHALF BUT IT WENT TO CHARITY.

You can't spell ISLAM without the word ALMS. By default a Muslim should be CHARITABLE!

Love everyone, including non-Muslims, I live with my Christian block mates and my Hindu landlord, Ma Shaa’Allahu there is PERFECT PEACE! Absolute PEACE!

In history ISLAM never spread by sword or by forcing people. People entered the fold of ISLAM because they are guided. Whoever God has guided nobody can misguide, nothing can misguide him/her not even Human being or Jinn. And whoever gets the opposite should know that the opposite can never put him/her on the right path.

Ma’Salam!!

the second one happened to me in kano, cos of boko haram, security has been stepped up in most churches, one Sunday morning i dressed up and went to church, the overzealous usher allowed those he recognized to walk in without searching, from a distance he beamed his search on me, he asked me all manner of questions, ordered me to empty my pockets, when i was in d process of bringing out my organiser he stepped back as if i was bringing out a bomb, at this time onlookers had thier eyes focused on me, i really felt embarrassed,i turned back and left, when a pastor asked what was amiss, i overheard a female usher shouting, abeg make he dey go.

FoodRe: 5 Weird Animals Nigerians Eat by gbrown(m): 5:22pm On Oct 10, 2013
oselenkejoor: We all know our brothers from China enjoy devouring the Agama lizard and to us that's crazily weird. But as they say, another man's food is another man's poison. Personally i believe every animal is meant for human consumption. Here's a list of 5 weird animals i believe Nigerians eat, you could add yours... here we go!

1. Dogs: (Serzly this is absolutely outta this world). Contrary to popular belief that only the Calabars eat dogs, i can authoritatively tell you that the Ondos and Oguns enjoy this four-footed thing also.
2. Snakes: Confession time grin I've tasted this back in secondary school days and i tell you its the sweetest thing on planet earth, especially when
its well roasted and meticulously salted.
3. Cats: Of course, people eat cats. grin surprised? Dont be tongue!
4. Ducks: Now this is official, it tastes just like ram meat! A piece of the meat is a mouth-fill! and its nice in stew cheesy Go try it out. Pepeye dun bi
kilode cool
5. Insects: When i say insect i do not mean mosquitoes or housefly ooo.grin Some insects are good foods. There is this kind of insect we used to eat back then in boarding house. Whenever it rained, they swarm around and we did put a bowl of water which they fall into and from der we did judgement on the tiny thingies tongue
Now add yours to the list. O sad did i forget to tell you that lions too are good delicacies, oya go hunt one and enjoy tongue grin
bros u ain't seen nothing yet, i do a lot of travelling, i,ve come across a lot of people in Nigeria who feast on animals that will make u throw up.
(1) do u know that benue people eat frogs, rats and vulture, the vulture meat i saw with my eyes at zaki biam and katsina ala, deliciously prepared as chicken suya, if you doubt me goitre to the aforementioned places
(2)in gombe state the tangale people of katungo town eat dogs, the kagoro brothers in kaduna south also eat dogs
(3) in yobo state, the iguana is a favourite perpersoup delicacy
Science/TechnologyGlobacom And Delayed Payments by gbrown(op): 7:04pm On Sep 14, 2013
Some years back globacom entered the gsm market in nigeria, admist fanfare laced with extatic peagentry, credit should go to globacom who made per second billing possible.
I,m a bts installer, freelancing fot virtually all gsm providers nationwide, all service providers have different modes of payments, oftentimes payments are made upon completion of jobs, atimes it ranges from two weeks and not exceeding three months.
What baffles most of us, is that our own indigeneous globacom, has a pechant for owing contractors money for work done ranging from 1yr to 2yrs, i,m somewhat confused, considering the person of chief mike adenuga who is busy doling out mouth watering endosement deals to actor and musicians,
my question is this,we who are engaged in hardware installation for chief mike adenuga,s globacom are we less important? We have our hamilies to take care of, this wicked pratice has to stop, is chief mike adenuga aware of this wicked pratice in globacom? Pls someone should reach out to chief mike adenuga, i,ve said my piece i dont care if they blaclist me from working on globacom sites, this nonsense has to stop.
PoliticsRe: Ciroman Keffi’s Abuja Residence Raided By SSS & Military Police by gbrown(m): 6:58pm On Jun 08, 2013
Pvt. Parts:
If you have ever been to Kano before, you will find that your fellow "Nigerian" from Kano holds more respect for Sahelians than you even if these Sahelians are not sharing the same Nationality as you are with them.

I won't be surprised if the Chadians are actually relatives of the late Hassan Agwai Mohammed aka Ciroman Keffi and I don't mean by marriage only.

Most of these northerner politicians are actually either from Niger, Cameroon, Chad or as far flung away as Sudan.

There was once a call by some northern governors during the time of OBJ for monetary assistance in constructing a road network in Niger Republic. The reason they cited was that they have family links over in that country.

One Nigeria my foot!
my brotherman, i totally agree with you, if you ever have any altercation with anyone from chad, niger, northern cameroun and Sudan, if you are in kano,be sure to incure the wrath of your northern Moslem brothers, i,ve experienced it severally.
Pls the JTF and SSS should pls raid the Yemen consulate at hotoro GRA kano, the characters i see coming out of the place are suicide bombers, remember Yemen is the same country where the illfated kano bomber was trained,of what economic benefit is Yemen consular office to Nigeria?
Science/TechnologyRe: Cost Of Different Sources Of Electricity In Nigeria by gbrown(m): 6:34pm On Apr 09, 2013
Barcholder: That IS the start up cost of Solar Power. There is only one cost of solar, and that is the start up cost. Once purchased, there are no additional running costs and they last for at least 25 years. They CANNOT break down, as there are no moving parts (the ONLY reason it will cease to work is because the people who installed it were morons). There is nothing to break down. Once installed, they continue to convert sunlight into electricity. It's actually a very simple technology, and is used extensively around the world.
bros, solar panels offer a cheap source of electricity, but you really need to understand how it works
underlisted are rules you adhere to if you want ur panels to last long
*periodic cleaning of panels dusty panels will not function very well
*never place ur dry cell batteries under panels, excess heat can destroy batteries
*solar panels dont work with stuff like pressing iron, electric kettles, it,s gonna destroy ur panels
*solar panels only work when there is plenty of sunshine
*solar panels only work during daytime, panels can work with deep cycled batteries

On behalf of millions of soccer loving niugerians we all collectively say a big thank you to GOD almighty for the long awaited exit of a certain Joseph yobo from our super eagles, the said yobo has been a burden to soccer loving nigerians since 1999, so this worthless yobo thinks we have forgotten how he concealed his injury so he could make it to d mundial in south Africa 2010, yobo dont expect any sympathy from me, since you decided not to leave years back disgrace is d only option left, did you just say you are on top of your game? Hahahahahaha i laugh in pidgin English, make unah see yobo wey everton drive from England.

ba7man: What a nerve....The terrorists that carried out the Bus bombing are still in Kano. Can't communities organize a quick house to house search with JTF backing and smoke them out?? They're obviously very comfortable in Kano and Borno.
bro i,ll give it to u straight, both the sultan, emir,s and d entire muslems up north are in support of the activities of boko, they live side by side in d same communities, they worship in d same mosque, brotherman, only the muslems up north can weed out boko, brother, i,ve lived in kano, kaduna, gombe,,borno, jigawa ,niger and sokoto, i understand d setup, a muslem will never betray a fellow muslem,

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Vandalise Their Embassy In Senegal (Video) by gbrown(m): 12:02pm On Mar 06, 2013
OgidiBoy: Very good, I don't condole violence but Nigerian embassy workers are the most lazy incompetent bunch of people. The Embassy workers here in the

States are just as bad. There is so much you can push a person before he pushes back.

I trust my Igbo brothers,we no pushovers.
this is a very welcome development, all nigerian embassies should be shut down it,s a waste of taxpayers money, embassies can never help you once outside d shores of this country, while still residing in Senegal working as a expatriate, the lady nigerian ambassador went behind us to tell our senegalise employee to be careful with us cos according to her nigerian are not to be trusted, as u read this piece,my senegalise patron still owe me $6,500 unpaid, i hope those guys dealt with that female ambassador?

Abi na him light skin mixed race-ness dey trip una?

So many of you sound like stup.id, inferiorized slaves here.

Here is a guy who routinely goes on twitter to insult your national icons, your FA, your team, your players, in effect rubbishing the whole country with zero respect, and you still come out with this creepy slave shiit of ''oh but he's only telling the truth you knowwww....?''

PATHETIC, BRAINLESS, STUPI.D DOLTS the lot of you. (SPIT)
oh boy nah wah for u,are u sure u are ok? Did u miss ur medication today? Can't u just make ur point without raining insults on people? what exactly are u babbling about? Osaze raised an issue, question, is osaze right or wrong? Fact is osaze has scored crucial goals for Nigeria, in comparison to others he has shown more commitment, d vast majority of nigerians never gave keshi a chance, now everyone is singing his praise, bros i also was against keshi,i,m not afraid to admit it, pls always try to look at things objectively not subjectively, your ranting is meaningless to me.

ekemit: i dnt tink dia is anytin wrong in what osaze said he is jst misinterpreted
finally a sane comment, thank u very much my brother, i just wonder why majority of nigerians tend to join d bandwagon, almost everyone is pouring invectives on osaze without taking time to read and comprehend what he wrote, osaze is d only super eagles player i respect, his passion and zeal for d national team is commendable, at d last afcon tournament in south Africa, osaze would not have wasted those chances that came the way of moses, ideye and musa in d finals

12large1: Haruna lukman. Sunday MBA can pop up and score goals but he has so far put up a ghost performance he should be a back up for haruna

Sidney sam. Hands down will walk into our starting 11

Joel obi. Onazi is a good player but Joel is a better version of onazi

Sone aluko. Another good player will add depth to bench

Leon balogun. A great rightback still confused about Ambrose if he can perform like he did at nc then no but if not Leon balogun. Over our best 11 should be

Enyeama

Ambrose
Egueke
Oboabona
Echijile

Mikel
Joel
Haruna

Sidney sam
Emmanuel emenike
Victor Moses

This team is as good as eagles of 1994 take it to the bank even our second 11 is strong

Balogun
Omeruo
Yobo
Taiwo

Onazi
Ogude
MBA/Nosa

Aluko
