just an observation... where was this agitation when Jonathan was there and why didn't he pass in into law if he so feel the move is quite right and beneficial.... like i always say most powerful people from every tribe would never allow these. YOU Only see these agitation from people who are not able to eat their own share of the government. All these statesmen meet regularly on the state of the nation and take everything you read in the newspaper with a pinch of salt. There is more to what the eyes can see. |

Funny how you see most people jump to reply and just type anything that comes to their mind. reading through the post for those agitating for secession i guess most are not old enough to understand the politics of some people who claim to be representing their so called interest. take a look at South Sudan then u would understand better. The singular reason why SS and SE cannot form a united nation of their own is the OIL... Give me a good reason why we all think the SS would now change their mind and go with SE for biafra when they did not earlier. WISE up people YOU are what u make of urself if u are waiting for republic of biafra before u make good use of your life ten u can as well wait till Eternity. |

Though I ve my reasons to say so, but can you help me with the little history of the aworis and eguns Though this tribes re the main owner of lagos and I do see them as incomplete yorubas who have mingled andrelates with yorubas to be one.. You could Google to get the origin of those people from Wikipedia.. Like I told him Abuja is North but the main indgenes are Gbagi/Gbayi people but that dosent mean we should use unguarded statements like itz no-man's land |

Rayhut: Mr man, Lagos is No Man Land, it not a Yoruba own, Lagos is the former capital of Nigeria, developed by the Federal government of Nigeria and belong to all Nigerians even during the regional government in Nigeria, Lagos is not part of western region, Yoruba's and Igbo are all migrants in Lagos, the real indigenous people in Lagos are the Egun ,Aworis that migrated from Benin republic and Ijaws, so go back to Osun or Ogun or Oyo or Ekiti or Ondo and developed your state so Lagos is an Island standing on its own and don't have its indigene. Such a myopic statement, guess Abuja is also a no-man's land. Try as much to be objective when talking its helps the brain develop better. |

4bobo: My question is why can't Jonathan encourage these militants to join army, navy and airforce instead of giving them money to buy weapons. I am sure he is going to spend less. But because of their evil agendas, they kept on weakening military and equipping terrorist. It will go a long way to destroy this country sooner or later. It will go beyond pdp and apc when, God fobid, all hell are let loose. This people will run away with their families living me and you to face the consequences. Let us learn from civil war era. With due respect to ojukwu, we heard that he went to exile and still later came back to align politically with some people that frustrated his efforts. But what of those millions that died on his behalf? Just like some empty brains that are happy about creations of many universities by this administration. Very soon the employer of labours will be demanding for only first class graduates with masters, less than 24 years of age, because the competition will be unbearably high. Instead to fix power and massively invest in technical schools and training centers, for all in all ramifications so that people can be self dependent, we are building structures and universities and depending on Asian countries for useless and substandard products . CHINA GAVE US BILLIONS OF DOLLARS LOAN TO BUILD RAILWAY AND WE STILL GAVE THE CONTRACTS TO CHINESE COMPANIES? THINK PEOPLE. For most populous black nation, we don't know our strength at all. That's why we will always be a slave to China. Those u are wise will understand me better. You just got it spot on... but most people blinded by the small change the government is giving them would keep shouting the administration is working yet it has empowered more miscreant than the intellectual. |

Flets: How do we avoid the impending dangers to Nigeria’s economy and existence under a Buhari presidency? We must need to face reality as there is no magic in governance. Extremely hard times lies ahead for this country if Buhari ever emerges victorious.
How do you explain to a Niger Deltan that despite GEJ's achievements in almost all sectors, roads, bridges, railways, agriculture, automobile, alamajiri schools, new universities, fertilizer and ghost worker scam elimination, freedom of press, FOI, free and fair elections, power sector. .........etc, he is still booted out.
What will stop the creeks from going haywire again? Buhari will send the troops to the creeks and together they will set the oil facilities ablaze. OBJ's use of JTF force could not help as no Oil producing company will risk producing crude and killing staff in a volatile region. GEJ under Yaradua had to get down to the creeks to to talk to these boys and effect the amnesty program because they found him as a representation in government.
It will be impossible to convince a ND minority albeit a militant that their own was not persecuted out of office. And that will be the theme of their new struggle. The long term solution to this mess is implementing the Confab report and enthroning true federalism.
A lot of opportunities are springing up around Africa and the IOCs are already geared towards investing in these newer and saner climes than invest in an unstable Niger delta . And while these troubles persists, the oil producing companies will simply withdraw their personnel from the volatile region and all foreign investments will seize in all sectors.
Unfortunately, even if the Nigerian troops kill 90% of the militants, it will take just one militant, a dynamite and just one strategic location along the multi- kilometer trunk lines to continue to wreck havoc to the Nigerian economy.
Fast forward to 2019, if we remain one country and without a civil war,, we will be an economic wreck with no allocations and salaries, no capital projects, no hope with dollar exchanging for 400 naira and we are worse off than we were in 2015.
Cos the truth is that without crude proceeds for now, Nigeria is finished.
And then, we'll be screaming another 'Change' because we would have learnt a bitter lesson in the hands of the Fulanis, Tinubu and Saraki. And then we will ask.... Why were we this silly?
And before you quote me, make sure you outline in clear terms how you or Buhari will avert this obvious calamity staring us in the face Only last week, they creek boys seem to have resumed activities by kidnapping at Yoho facility operated by Exxonmobil and have shut in 80KBD already. Are we ready for this for the next 4 years?
The entire world stands to benefit from a crisis in the Niger delta. Its not a coincidence that USA who abandoned us at the height of bokoharam is busy shouting for change in govt . Crises in the ND will reduce supply of crude to the Oil market and that would drive up the price of crude for producing countries.... But at Nigeria's expense.
Is Buhari is any way a better Democratic president than GEJ? Is this risk worth it?
Nigerians.... Be Warned!!! Guy this sermon will not help the time too short to start this... most people have already decided and if this administration have done so well like u said they wont need so much stress to get re-elected go to the streets and hear people complain. so my bro just park one side |
