President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Lauretta Onochie, has condemned the viral video that surfaced online recently, which captured moments a young boy begged his mum to calm down when he was about to be punished for an offense. Onochie disapproving of the actions of the boy’s mother, said she was deeply affected by her actions and that watching the video would be traumatizing for children. She stated that if Nigeria was like the United Kingdom, the boy’s mother would have been charged and would also have lost the custody of the child. She wrote; "The calm down video, is a clear case of child abuse. That was not discipline. TIMES HAVE CHANGED 2020 Many Nigerian adults today, are suffering from the effects of similar abuse when they were children. In the UK, the child would be in care, his mother charged." http://community.vanguardngr.com/forum/topics/mummy-calm-down-video-is-a-clear-case-of-child-abuse-the-mother

A woman in a viral video on YouTube identified as Ehizogie Ogbebor has been tipped to be richer than the trio of the popular Nigerian Hip Hop artistes Wizkid and Davido, and the richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote combined. According to Vocal media, Ogbebor was born on 15th June 1985 in Benin City, Edo state. Reportedly, when she was six years old, she attended an end-of-year cultural dance at the palace of the Oba of Benin where the Oba walked up to her with a couple of chiefs and declared that her head was meant for a crown. Ogbebor was married earlier in her life to a man with who she had two children. However, that marriage didn't succeed and ten years after, she got married to another man named Kenneth Bramor, a Warri based billionaire and oil magnate. Although this new marriage to Kenneth Bramor produced two children: a boy and a girl, and although it was attended by Nigeria's elite including senators like Senator Dino Melaye, the marriage didn't last up to a year. In fact, after 8 months, Ogbebor walked out and the reasons she gave about leaving shocked the world. In a revealing interview, Ogbebor claimed that her ex-husband was a cultist who tried to use their six-month old daugher for rituals! She went on to say that her husband was not alone, and that there were eleven other cultists who worked with him. According to her, she made a deal with this cult and one of the terms of the deal is that he will need to keep recycling women. This is why, she says, he has been engaged to six other women, and has ten children out of their wedlock. http://community.vanguardngr.com/forum/topics/meet-nigerian-woman-claimed-to-be-richer-than-dangote-two-others

AROGBONLO ISRAEL reports... Tell us little about yourself My name is Favour Oluma. I am Idoma by tribe from Agatu local government of Benue state. I was born on the 11th of March 2000 and was brought up in Gwagwalada, Abuja. I graduated from Federal Government Girl’s College, Keana, Nassarawa. Am currently in my third year studying Soil Science and Land Management in Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger state. Am the first female child in my family. I have four elder brothers and a younger sister. I lost my mum in the year 2012 and lost my dad June 2020. Life hasn’t been easy since the death of my mom (cries). Our deepest condolences on the irreplaceable loss of your parents. What inspired you into this line of business? My biggest inspiration has been my aunt who made me realises that, I have the ability to great imagination and that if I can imagine any great thing, I can achieve it. If I can dream it, I can become it because our hearts have no limits. So, how did you summon the courage? I managed to summon courage anytime I think of the responsibilities I have. What actually motivated your passion for entrepreneurship? I started this business because I have always had a strong passion to do great things and challenging things. We heard the popular American rapper Meek Mill gave you verbal support recently. How true is the news? It’s very true. He actually retweeted my works. Tell us more about your conversation with him We didn’t have any conversation per se. I tried sending a message but his DM is not opening. However, my expectation from him is that he helps me financially. I feel him helping financially will go a very long way because I just started the business few months ago I don’t even have a workshop yet. Still working from home. What are your challenges in the business? I’ve had a lot of challenges and one of them is the fact that so many people told me it’s something I can’t do, it’s a man’s job but I managed to do my first project because I had passion and believed myself. I just derive joy while working. My second challenge is financial constraint. I’ve been working from home because I don’t really have a place for my workshop and that’s really inconvenience for me and my family. I really have a lot of designs to explore but don’t have the funds to do translate them into reality. Where do you see your business in the next five years from now? In the next five years, I see my brand well known and I see myself empowering the youths and contributing to the national development of my country (Nigeria). What advice would you give female folk who consider going into this line of business? My encouragement to other young girls and women is that, whatever your hands find doing, make the best out of it. Don't you dare put your life in a box! Don't you dare decide to settle for mediocrity! Don't you dare give up on your dreams! Don't you dare give up on your life!

In this interview with Vanguard, Egoaguagwu Agnes Maduafokwa who emerged the best candidate having scored a total of 365/400 in the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) shared her thoughts on what inspired her recent feat, among some personal traits that contributed to her success story. AROGBONLO ISRAEL reports... Excerpts May we meet you, please I am Egoaguagwu Agnes Maduafokwa. I am 16 years old. A student of Louisville Girls High School, Ijebu-Itele in Ogun State. I scored a total of 365/400 in the just concluded UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination). I am from Ihiala in Anambra State. I intend to further my study in Industrial and Production engineering. Tell us about your educational background I did my Primary education at Greater Scholars International School, Ajah, Lagos. Have always been doing well right from Primary school. I bagged a lot of awards in Mathematics, Sciences, and English Language. I also performed in many competitions like Maths Olympiad with a keen on Art. When I got to Junior Secondary school in Louisville Girls High School, Ijebu-Itele, Ogun, my performance declined compared to what I had in Primary school days because, there was a lot of competition there (Louisville), hence, I wasn't topping the class as I used to in my former school. In my Junior WAEC, I got a C-grade in one of my papers and distinctions in my other subjects, and I wasn't really proud with the result. So, I felt the need to do better in Senior school. When I got to Senior school, I initially joined Social Science class for a week because, I felt that was what I wanted to do since I performed well in all the classes but at a point, I wasn't really understanding what was being taught and I needed to change to Science class because that's like a passion for me. In the Science class, I understand what's taught better and also comfortable there because that's my real passion. Right from my Sss 1, I started getting awards. Got first position in Geography, Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics while bagging 3rd position in the entire Sss 1 set. In Sss 2, I got awards for 10 subjects out of 11 subjects and 2nd position overall. Then I wrote my GCE (General Certificate of Education) at the beginning of Sss 3 and I got distinctions in all my papers, that is, two Bs and six As. Also, I am currently studying tediously towards getting As in all my WAEC papers. Following your recent feat in JAMB as the candidate with the highest score. What's the secret behind your success? There isn't any secret behind the score I got per se. Like every other students, I wrote this exam in my school (Louisville). We had a study group where we (Interviewee in company of friends) practice past questions for the UTME. Two days after our mock exams was the JAMB. So, it's a very tight schedule but I started reading early, which gave me a huge advantage. I started reading since the last Christmas break (December, 2019) and usually meet my teachers anytime I had problem with any of the subject I read. They ( the teachers) always help me anytime I meet them. I attended all my classes and gave myself a very high target for the exam. My watchword is always: "Aim above the mark to hit the mark". Another thing I do is praying really hard and trusting God because you can't really do anything without God. This victory was because of God. http://community.vanguardngr.com/forum/topics/my-mother-is-my-role-model-candidate-with-the-highest-score-in
