gallivant:
This post has too much racial undertones to be taken seriously.
What racial undertones? Two white youtubers visited Nigeria in a space of three months and one of the first places they were eager to visit was Makoko. They both went to see the old city side of Ibadan as well. Isn't that scary?

I understand why they may have gone to Ibadan ( probably due to the train connection) but why is Makoko always one of their first places to film?

the JSE hit record highs, our economy grew more than expected in the first 2 quarters of this year, 4 out of SAs 8 metros including all of the Gauteng metros are run by the DA, ANC under 50%......my bru SAs is only going to get better from now on grin grin grin

Besides.... No Kenya in 2050
The JSE has always been by far the largest in Africa, the gap between JSE and second place Nigerian Stock Exchange is huge. I think your Economy is probably bigger than what's on paper but I know there are many problems bedevilling your economy though.

Ibadan is not only the brown roofs you see in all these white tourists' videos. Ibadan is the largest city in West Africa by size and it is definitely not made of only those areas these white youtubers love visiting.

Tourists should not be so interested in slums except they have an agenda. Why the poverty porn when it comes to Africa? And here you are proud that Kibera is widely visited.

When white tourists visit Italy they don't show the rugged side, they go to the beach and fun areas yet there is poverty and suffering in Italy. Almost every tourists or people who visit the U.S would want to see Newyork first but when it comes to Africa the things that interest them the most are either animals or slums.

Did he visit Kibera and other nearby slums in Kenya like Mathare? He was so delighted to visit makoko on his first trip. That got me thinking. Why do foreigners travel to Nigeria and the first thing on their mind is makoko and only the very low income areas of the South West comparatively? I have seen two Oyinbo tourists do thesame thing this year.

These white guys in particular love slums actually. If he visits Kenya, he would be so proud to find the largest slum in Africa. Watch all his videos, the poorest or local areas seem to interest him the most even in his Brazil video. He has been in Lagos but so far has never shown us what life is like in the Islands.
What happened to Uyo and Abuja and other lovely sites one can randomly find for tourists on the Internet? Anyway it's his money, his trip, but it's useless to use him as an example. Infact pray he doesn't visit Kenya, he would likely do multiple videos on Kibera.

And be allowed to become threats to the vaccinated? If they believe in their doctrine, it should be personal and not grow into public spaces.
But how can the unvaccinated be threat to the vaccinated, seeing that even the vaccinated can spread the disease? Also if you are worried about hospitalization, then the unvaccinated can only be threats to themselves in that aspect since the vaccinated would not be easily hospitalized.

Well I don't care if Dangote benefits from Government as long as he has ideas and creates more projects. Infact if he is the type of Billionaire with big ideas then Government should support his type even more than they are doing.

Innoson for instance might soon be given the monopoly to manufacture/assemble cars running on gases and this would help the Government. Remember Obasanjo was committed to Dangote then because of the zeal he had for new cement manufacturing projects rather than just mere imports.

In places like the U.S, Germany, and the likes, Government is also always solidly behind the Apples, Microsoft,Big pharmas, and the Volkswagens of this world.

Kenya is 50m. Nigeria is 200m. The difference is 4 times. If you ate maize like we do - you'd be satisfied ( let me go with your answer of 3 million) with 10M tonnes. You would have to eat maize a lot.

Obviously we know you eat cassava, yams and other such tubers as your staple food.

Now what I know from my little research - your maize production is pretty useless - and animal feeds have to import maize (poultry and pigs - because dairy is dead) ...that would be largest market for your maize production.

Cascade through your entire agricluture like I have done - and it's obvious - OVERCOOKED.

So overcooked your claim to be world BEST 5 AGRI COUNTRY grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Very funny. Countries like US, CHina, India, Canada, Brazil and Russia grin grin those are HUGE COUNTRIES WITH HUGE FARMING.

See you're jumping around like a toad during day time ( Nigerian writer - Chinua Achebe - Things fall apart smiley ).

Your import about 5 million metric tonnes.

You do not eat maize as staple food.

10M metric tonnes is a lot of maize..

Kenya produces about 40M bags - and we have shortfall of about 5m bags...very little...and we eat a lot of maize...a lot of maize...in metric tonnes I think it's nearly 5m or about.

Now explain to me where all that Maize in Nigeria go to? 15m metric tonnes per capita - is a lot of maize.
Oga you produce 3 million not 5 million tons ( or you give me the data or website supporting that). As for Nigeria, we always have a lot of mouths to feed of course. Come on man, we are over 200 million people. Most of the maize in Nigeria is used for poultry farming actually.

Why does Nigeria import Maize. You dont even eat Maize like we do. Let even assume Maize was your staple...you ate it daily like Kenya..for 4 times our population...you'd be satisfied with 20 million metric tonnes.

You see COOKING STATS require some brains.

Now you claim to produce 33 million metric tonnes...and still you import maybe 5 metric tonnes smiley smiley smiley

What are you doing with all that Maize smiley
Actually even if we grant 11 million tons (which I can agree to), Kenya doesn't come close at all with only 3 million tons. So why the noise?

No it produced 11m - twice kenyan - which is not possible with your rudimentary agricluture.
Well I am not here to argue but here is the source of my data.

Maize production in Africa was around 75 million tons in 2018, representing 7.5% of world maize production. Maize occupies approximately 24% of farmland in Africa and the average yield stagnates at around 2 tons/hectare/year. The largest African producer is Nigeria with over 33 million tons, followed by South Africa, Egypt, and Ethiopia. Africa imports 28% of its required maize grain from countries outside the continent as most of the maize production in Africa is done under rain-fed conditions.

Very much doubt it. Show me where the Maize is stored smiley

You see in Kenya we have very serious stats on Maize. We have formalized Maize market. Gov buys like 4 million bag in the strategic maize reserves. Maize milled by big millers is accounted for. Most farmers buy certified seeds and fertilized. Gov has very strong agricultural extension services who report on farm land.

We do serious data collection on maize as it staple food - and we keep strategic maize reserves - to ensure maize prizes never rises.

Start here https://www.ncpb.co.ke/

Everywhere in Maize growing regions in Kenya you will find such Maize stores.
Nigeria is the largest producer of maize in Africa with about 33 million tonnes ( would have to check again if it's more), of which Kaduna produces 22% (7.6 million tonnes).
Does Kenya produce more than 5 million tonnes on average?
