Yes you are right ....it's easier to fund it from here but the issue is that the money is in Nigeria ,and getting the money across to Cyprus would me buying Euro from black matter which is usually more (€1 = 650 or 670) and going by this, definitely, would run the money short . That's the reason I'm looking for a possible way to do it from naija which I believe would be cheaper ( 465 naira = 1€
Okay I used to know about filling Form A at the bank, but I don't know if that's still the most common method. Research about Form A.
Travel › Re: Is It Necessary To Use Agent For Visa Processing/procurement? by GeneralDae: 6:12pm On Dec 05, 2021
wonder233:
Use an agent.
You may be genuine, but the visa system doesn't care about that. It is an impersonal automated process that needs to see certain requirements met for approval to be granted. These agents know exactly what those requirements are and have the templates that meet those requirements perfectly. It has little to do with you researching and adhering to what is on those countries visa websites. It is about meeting it the way they want you to meet it which isn't stated on their websites.
It's not as complicated as you think, really. Everything (including the way they want it) is usually on the Internet. Forums like Nairaland Travel section even have more details if you search the threads for key words or ask specific questions. You'll save yourself lots of money given to agents.

Don't expect Ghana to be on this ranking because anytime NPP is in Power they ridiculously close down Ghanaian businesses especially those that are doing well in the system...

Just less than 5 years they have successfully closed down over 5 strong Ghanaian Banks all in the name of Politics.. As for the smaller Banks they just swept them under the wheel just like that.
But my Ghanaian friend told me NPP is the best thing since sliced bread in Ghana. What party do you endorse for Ghana?

Hello guys, I'm in Cyprus and have got admitted to study in Germany but I have issues funding the so called German block account . Since I am away from the country and couldnt reach directly to banks in Nigeria, my bro has been helpful but no positive outcome . Each time he goes to a bank in Nigeria he's told different stuff. This Is my major problem as I need this block account to apply for Visa . Please, has anyone funded this account recently or has idea on how to go about it ?
You must not necessarily fund your blocked account from Nigeria. If you've opened the account, you should be able to fund it from Cyprus.

No. Nigeria as a whole is not developed in terms of infrastructure except some parts of Lagos, Abuja, and a few other places.
Tell me the truth, does that picture look nice to you? If it does, then you guys really have a problem and Naija has a long way to go.

Some ignoramus said Lagos was built by all Nigerians. Even if we ignore this blatant lie (PDP though OBJ dealt with lagos. Lagos today was nothing before 1999), what about ibadan and Oyo generally? Today, oyo has a bigger igr and definitely gdp than all south east states combined. Who developed Oyo?
So to you this is development? I am from Edo state ( not Igbo, Hausa, or Yoruba) and there is nothing spectacular about this pix.

Son,it's closer to all African countries. It's even easier to get feedback since we have people from SA in this thread. That's y I chose to use SA as a benchmark!
Now,since u claim to have a quarter of SA GDP, do u have a quarter of what they have o ground?
SA...40,000 MW. But u have what? A quarter of 40,000..Is it 2,000?
GDP is not the most important measure of an economy though, although it shows the output of goods and services in a nation. Therefore it makes sense that all populated countries have a GDP higher than they sometimes would have had. Also resources play a huge role. For instance, Angola and Equatorial Guinea have oil, but this is almost all of what the economies of these countries depend on. Angola have always had a higher GDP than Tanzania, but cities in Angola may be not so developed as cities in Tanzania except probably Luanda.

Nigeria has population, together with good Telecom and Banking sectors and is the tenth largest oil producing nation in the world. She practices non mechanised farming to an extent but still makes amongst the largest numbers in some agricultural produce. Even with all her perceived insecurities, Nigeria is amongst the top three nations with the most FDI's in Africa within the last 10 years ( the others are Egypt and South Africa). So while I agree with you that GDP should show in infrastructure, this isn't always the case like we see especially with Equatorial Guinea and many countries where Oil has been the dominant source of Government revenue for years.
Tanzania though is doing well and has the potential to overtake Kenya in GDP.

Please...highly educated...even the Indians or Asian struggle to get such reputation. Nigeria or Ghana or Kenya - that was just a report to expose the paradox.

Now the reality. How many of american or europeans will accept to be operated by Nigerians smiley

Reality - based on my own experience - almost every American or Europe has visited MORROCO. It like Spain/Morroco.

Next is either Egypt or Kenya or South Africa. Lately Tanzania is competing with Kenya.

The rest are nonsense.

Black americans - Ghana is their Mecca.
Of course Indians are also known as highly educated immigrants and they do not struggle at all to get that reputation.

Dont lie to yourself - go to any park or red street worldwide - you will find a nigeria selling drugs. Nigeria has as good reputation as a slut. Academic exercise that find a few legal doctors doesn't translate to real life
Not just doctors, highly educated in all spheres. You see only prostitutes and drugs because that is all you are interested in. I am not arguing sentiments here but facts. I know of videos of interviews of Turkish citizens and another different video of American citizens, when asked to list 5 African countries they knew, many struggled to name even 3 and none mentioned Kenya or even Ghana. But guess what, they all mentioned Nigeria and South Africa followed by other random African countries they knew or struggled to remember. This is just an example.

However that is Turkey and of course the Americans who were spoken to in the second video were more or less college guys/girls who cared mostly about hiphop. In Europe though, every European I know knows Kenya and Tanzania and they want to travel there for wildlife tourism.

So for average UK or US dude...Nigeria is either a drug dealer or a prostitute or a criminal...and they are on their total senses near them
You may be right if you are speaking about Nigerians in South Africa, Ghana, and maybe Malaysia ( mostly illegal in the country). But in the U.S and U.K, Nigerians are known for their education and success and then almost equally for the Nigerian princes.

Nonsense. Morroco. Egypt. South Africa. Kenya. People want or have visited them. Countries they know...Nigeria and Somalia you can add to the list..just for notoriety..one for drugs and all evils...the other for wars.

Every black American will know Ghana - it's their ancestry. The whites or Asian NOPE...never heard of it.
Nigerians are the most educated black immigrants in the U.S and U.K.

Zombie. It's not that I'm bothered by this popularity thing. The facts are, Kenya is the most famous country in Africa. Forget about those random niggroes roaming around the streets of New York answering YouTubers. What is ghana even known for? What is Senegal known for?

About Nigeria ( negativity), Egypt, and South Africa, Yes. you're absolutely spot on. You only forgot Kenya. cool.
Kenya and Tanzania are some of the most famous countries only for safari especially in Europe to my knowledge. At the moment, Ghana is getting all the hype as one of the most peaceful countries in Africa, it's becoming a more popular country by the day especially in the eyes of African Americans and a lot of Nigerians because most people believe it's peaceful. Egypt is still the most well known nation in Africa based on the pyramids and the bible followed by South Africa/Nigeria (almost a tie).

I'll rate the popularity of African countries this way:
Egypt ( based on Pyramid and bible stories)
Nigeria ( well traveled, highly educated immigrants, as well as the Nigerian princes unfortunately. Afrobeats is growing steadily though).
South Africa ( Mandela, Apartheid, hosted world cup).
Kenya (safari, athletes)
Ghana ( rising steadily as a peaceful country for business in Africa, promoted mainly on YouTube)
Ethiopia (history).

There you have it. These are the 6 most popular countries in Africa from my extensive unbiased research.

I think the best thing you need to educate people here on what happened during the Struggle for liberation in South Africa especially during the days before and after Mandela. From what I see on this forum a lot of people do not know the struggle which South Africans went through especially in areas like Soweto and a lot of high-density areas in South Africa the killing the violence. I experienced it first hand. I think one of you guys must try to educate people hear about the struggle against apartheid in South Africa. It is difficult for me to explain because by that time I did not know all areas of South Africa but where I stayed in Soweto I experience the brutality the teargas the gunshot the killings
Oga rest. grin

Thanks brother

But can I easily move from there to another country cause some countries it's difficult to move to another country
The problem with this mindset is that before you relocate to another country from Romania or wherever to get a long term visa, you have to become financially stable or at least better off in a way to relocate except again you get the Work Visa or Student Visa of that your dream country.
Travel › Re: European Countries To Travel To And The Best Method Of Traveling by GeneralDae: 6:38pm On Dec 01, 2021
adeakin:
nairalanders keep asking same set of questions. You can only move through study visa or work visa. Since you are talking about scholarships it shows you dont have money. No European country is easy to get pr self, for uk and germany you will need 7m to 10m to go as student. For work visa if you are not a nurse, doctor, tech person or auditor no one send you.so hustle to get your money up. Some agents can run low skilled work visa to places like poland and other shitty Eastern European countries. Most will scam you and pr is not certain after.
For Germany though, if one has a relative in Germany or one who could sign a sponsorship letter then it becomes very easy. The sponsor must be working and possibly earning a certain amount. However the visa process here may not be as easy as that of blocked account.

My intrest is in Agro so help me jah.
If your interest is in Agro and you know what you are doing/ what you want, and you are able to find some good connects here and there, I think Nigeria would favour you more.

In my opinion, except for a possibly better security, abroad should only be considered by people who are mostly young ( say below 35) and are going for greener pastures to better their state in Nigeria, either through University or a direct job offer.

If you are doing well in Nigeria or you know the agric business and how to profit from it in Naija, then I don't really see why you'll need abroad except for holidays.

I think your post would speak more to Africans who are already financially stable/independent and just want to settle in and/or invest in other African countries. At the moment, the majority of African youths are seeking greener pastures usually in the form of jobs and permanent residence/citizenship of a strong/popular economy that would give them the freedom in future to travel the world and eventually settle in places like Rwanda.
Note that today even across African countries, European passports are even more respected than African passports.
