You're the one to make your research. He benefits from import waivers and the likes. Keep living in denial. Corrupt governments made him rich
I doubt this because Government cannot do everything for him. If he was so dependent on Government, I don't think he would have sustained his company as the largest Nigerian conglomerate in Africa. Have you listened to Dangote talk? He knows every detail of all his businesses. Government support cannot do that for you.

Lollittaa:
if you understand how much grip the fulani-hausa hegemony has on Nigeria's resources, you'd know that this man is no genius, rather a man who has benefitted from government largesse. Nigeria made Dangote rich.
Most of the billionaires you see today, with the exception of cosmas Maduka and a few others were made rich by the corruption in the country today, including Dangote. Even the alakija woman who recently turned pastor can't explain her tailor-to-billionaire status past "grace". Most of them can't. Not even Dangote.
So all the other billionaires who were made by the corruption of the Government (going by your false arguement) what have they done with the money? At least Dangote has built industries across African nations employing many.

Nigeria Superfalcons drops 3 places in New FIFA Ranking...

Why whyhuh
I'm wondering why we keep going down. This is the lowest ranking the Superfalcons have attained.
Well deserved though. Remember FIFA president himself watched the Aisha Buhari cup opener against Mali coupled with losses to lower ranked teams such as Ghana and South Africa.

Maybe it's the first time you hear of Ramaphosa, that's why you'll blindly argue he's not the leading covid vaccines voice on the global stage for Africa.

Just because you're proactive on Covid it doesn't mean you won't get affected by it - in fact it can be argued SA had the strictest lockdown in Africa (soldiers on the streets, no alcohol and cigarettes, closed borders, etc) and yet other factors were at play here that need critical thinking. Even Western countries are leading the covid fight and yet have massive infection rates still, including among their own presidential aides.

Nothing stops Ramaphosa from touring because he's got top notch doctors monitoring his health all the time and that's why they detected it early that his aides were covid+. Same applies for the other African leaders he's meeting, so they're safe.
grin I'm sure you know nairaland by now. The Nigerians on this forum like trouble pass garri.

They will Castigate a Lady for Having Sex,Yet still Pressures their Girlfriends and Fiancée's to Sleep with them and if they refuses, they will Come to Naira land to demonize them.
I wonder why people believe it's always a man who uses a lady when it comes to sex or it's always to the man's pleasure alone and the lady's loss, so only ladies should feel ashamed after sex as if women don't crave for sex too.

Its so unfortunate that successful women makes you all sad.
It's the African mentality. A successful woman should be free to dream big as well. If you marry a man earning 60k, same man with his ego might feel intimidated by you. If however, you marry such a man, it's not bad. But since you have decided not to, I truly don't see anything wrong with that as well.

Thank you. I am not planning to ask him if he thinks we can get married or if he wants to get married to me. No, that's too early.

I only want to ask him where he sees himself in a year or two. If he sees himself getting married to whoever by then.
Yeah of course you can ask him that.

I wanted to link you up with my cousin, very handsome guy, tall and single, from Asaba(igbo speaking part of delta state) . Thing is, because of his job, he doesn't have time to socialize, that's why he's single. But you already said you can date some who earn less because I think he earn 120k. Anyway I support you not settling for less.
I think it's better she doesn't settle for less. At least something in the range of 300k and above would be okay.

Then define your relationship. You said something like the guy has all the power and your can't talk to him. How can u be earning 450k and still have low self-confidence?

Yeah the guy may be 'richer' but you are not doing badly yourself. We shouldn't be the one telling u to dump him. You should be the one asking us if you should give the guy a chance and our answer would have been a Big Fat No.

Grow some balls, babe. You are doing well. No man should take u for a ride, unless u want to be ridden. grin

25k hotel will move me? 25k hotel? Did you hear yourself.

Well, These post just make me see that men are really depressed and society is not fair to you all.

If a woman wants a stable man- it's gold digging.

But if a man marries a white lady or rich woman - he is smart and sharp.

It's such a pity.

I have proudly dated men earning less. I have started from scratch. But there are stages in life.

Why do men avoid marriage when they aren't financially stable? because it makes no sense in an ideal world.

Women should strive. Men too.

Everyone hustle.
Exactly.

Lol for Nigeria it's always cooked stats, yet when thesame Nigerian data tells you that 70% of Nigerians are living below 1 dollar per day and Nigerians on ground tell you it's false data, you do not believe us, you rather go with the Nigerian data there without questions. How do you know? You can't just be saying things you don't know. How many Nigerians live in Vietnam? How many of them are into crime? How many are genuine businessmen? I suggest you do so keep research instead of assuming.
In Vietnam, we know that many Nigerians are into teaching (though not all may get that opportunity). However, in many of the other countries you mentioned, there are several stories of drug trafficking, yahoo, and the likes especially from many who claim to have made it there very fast and yet cannot disclose their line of business to you.

You said people are doing well, my question from the beginning is what job are they doing to make it?
The reason is many of these people who make you believe they are making it, may be into stuff likes Drug pushing or yahoo. So it's good to always be sure of what they are doing before you claim here they are doing well.

an expat in central europe earns that much.
What country in central Europe and what expat? what is the job of this expat? 800 Euros in 2 days is 12000 Euros monthly or 144000 Euros yearly. If we assume its' the gross salary, it is possible but it's not a common salary in so called central Europe the way you put it. If you mean 144000 Euros net yearly then that's even more rare in Europe.

No it's not. Nah this mentality be the problem. So many Nigerians have this poor mentality of making money at all cost in contrast to creating value. You just want to make money, for what purpose? Buy Gucci, ferrari, houses, cars, oppress, then what?
This mentality has made yahoo yahoo no big deal to the youths alongside drug trafficking and has soiled the Nigerian name abroad causing problems for other Nigerians and those wen won japa.

Where is the money in Nigeria when so many go to bed hungry ? You must be well connected or politician if you cannot see the poverty around Nigeria.
Many go to bed hungry yet we have many who can buy their own lands and build their own houses. Some have thriving businesses with their own home and cars yet abandon all to go abroad where they do menial jobs.
Listen, the problem with Nigerian economy is that there is no access to constant electricity and pipeborne water, which is available to all (including the very poor) in most of Europe and U.S.
Aside that, we have Nigerian middle class/ high middle class who can afford to build their homes and even send their children to school abroad with school fees as high as 10 -20 million naira.
How many oyibo high middle class fit boast of 20 million naira for their account to pay at once?

Any Nigerian parent that allow their under 18 year olds to visit Nairaland is committing child abuse. Nairaland may as well be a platform for Nazi white supremacists hellbent on reversing Nigerians' general self confident attitudes.

I am even possibly understating the extent; since, actually, i have in the past due to research joined many White supremacists sites. Let me inform any reasonable Nigerian reading this that the vitriol, shear hatred and terrible, terrible negative aspersions cast at the black race with the intention of diminishing, demoralizing and ruining the minds of black people so that they may never again raise their heads or feel that they are capable of achieving personal success or collective parity with the rest of humanity does not match in damage anything on Niraland visited upon Nigerians here daily. What a terrible place for young Nigerian minds Niraland is.

Big, big shame on the black world for this!
It's surprising to me because one thing the world is beginning to admire Nigeria for right now is Afrobeats and here we have Nairalanders castigating it, some only in a bid to sound sophisticated or foreign.
