Security issues chasing people from agriculture yet some are still making it big. There are always more than one side to a story. The truth is Nigeria is where you can make it big in agriculture. Snail farming, Rice production, and what have you. |
Soffyh:What do you mean by better life for your children? Even if you and your descendants stay abroad for 50 generations as citizens doing well, you are still African and you all would still likely not be seen as one originally belonging to their land or respected as such. |
If you are an Agric expert you can make good money in Nigeria though, you don't really need abroad. But if you must travel by all means, have you looked into the express entry for Canada? |
Udapod:If there are no jobs, the only thing that should take one there should be for maybe better security in my opinion. |
shezpwiti:I don't know where people get the notion that old people don't code or one can be too old to code. Is this perception from Hollywood that shows us young nerds and geeks hacking away at a very young age? If you want to start something, start. You don't need our validation to make you decide if you're too old or not. So if we say yes you are too old to code, what then? Does it mean you'll then abandon your desire to learn web development? If you do that, one can assume you were only looking for an excuse not to begin your web development journey in the first place. |
umunnagree:Apply to this job, and search for many other similar jobs of your choice on Glassdor, linkedin, and indeed. Civil Engineer Level I https://www.glassdoor.com/partner/jobListing.htm?pos=104&ao=1136043&s=58&guid=0000017d4e5deb8684b8a8ed053d2239&src=GD_JOB_AD&t=SR&uido=DC9E31675DD88FB77F855F01B2C76482&ugo=4de8fb19-3a55-4a3b-9c6f-a675d5056a9d&cs=1_ad4830f1&cb=1637697330750&jobListingId=1007351498306&jrtk=3-0-1fl75rqtcu58n801-1fl75rqtou1f8800-faa7047a38ce8673- As for your agent, tell him you can only begin the process when you get the contract to take to the embassy and you can confirm the job contract. If he accepts then no problem. If he can deliver you the job contract from the company and you confirm it, then you can take him more seriously, you would also have to get the visa from the embassy as well. I'll advise to see if you can string your agent along without paying anything upfront first, then use the information you get from your agent in your search online as well. If your agent delivers a job contract in the process, then you begin to take him seriously but the visa is the ultimate. Remember you can do this thing yourself, you only need to know where and how to apply for construction jobs in Germany (that require only English) and write a good CV detailing your experience in construction. Construction and civil engineering is hot cake everywhere, but you may not easily get permanent contracts though like many other professions. |
JapaProfessor:How is Sweden, Spain, and Italy cheap to migrate to? |
umunnagree:If you have experience in Civil engineering, you can apply to jobs in Germany directly and you may get either a blue card or work permit. Without a little work experience, I don't know how you would go about it. The only way I know in that case would be to apply for a 6 months job search visa, where you have to show proof of finance for all 6 months. But that route even may still not work out if you have no work experience and you may likely be denied that visa. School is still the easiest way for those without experience. I don't know if there's a work visa for menial jobs, that I am not sure of and highly doubt, else that would have been your best bet. You can research on that though. Did you ask your agent for the name of the company and job he was talking about? What was his response? |
airsaylongcome:This should be the optimal code: num1=float (input ('Enter first number:') num2=float (input ('Enter second number:') num3=float (input('Enter third number:') a=[num1, num2, num3] print (max(a)) Answer Enter first number: 4 Enter second number: 5 Enter third number: 2 5.0 |
airsaylongcome:I get your point now. However, the way the code was written by giving condition to num 1 with respect to num 2 and num 3, if we fail to also give similar conditions to num 2 and num 3 ( being explicit enough), we may not get the desired outcome. Thinking about it now, I think a better way would be to make a list of num1, num 2, and num 3, and then find the maximum. I'll try that to see if that is possible. |
airsaylongcome:There's a need to also check if num 2>=num1, because that's a possibility. num 1 could be >= num 2, but it could also happen that num 2 is rather >= num 1. You definitely have to account for all possibilities. |
umunnagree:Scam. Even if that is true for the benefit of doubt, a German Employer would not give you the job automatically, you would need at least a series of virtual/ online interviews. If you don't do these interviews directly with the so called company and get a job contract from them, you cannot get a work visa no matter the agent or middle man working for you. That is how it is in Germany, so better save yourself from getting scammed. |
umunnagree:It is most likely a scam. Tell him you would pay only after you see the job contract from the company and use it to get visa. Don't pay without this process, if you don't want to be scammed. You should also know what company it is and what area you are going to work in. Note that in Germany, it is rare for a company to just select you without an interview process. Your agent should give you the name of the company and the name of the job, then post it here for us. If you ask me, I'll say everything looks suspicious to me. So just find out these things and make sure to give us the feedback before you do anything else. If he doesn't give you all these information, run without looking back. |
airsaylongcome:I don't see anything wrong with the code though. It looks perfect and Pythonic enough ( the one way of doing it) to me. I may be wrong though. |
umunnagree:That doesn't sound real, beware of these agents. What you should do is this: Ask the agent how he/she is gonna go about this. You don't get work visa to Germany with 2.7 million naira, rather you get work visa to Germany by getting a job contract directly from a company, so how would the agent grant you this work contract? If you ask me, I'll say the agent has to give you the details of the process and how he/she would go about it and then you Google it out before going along, else you'll likely get scammed. What is your occupation/field? |
Would you go through the Blue Card/ Work Visa route? If you get the job from Nigeria already without needing German then you've solved half of your perceived problem especially if you would work in places like Berlin. Eventually you would have to learn German to perhaps assume more responsibilities or get to certain heights, but getting a good job initially without German especially in the Tech field is very possible. After getting a job ( especially a blue card visa job), bringing in your wife on reunion visa wouldn't be that much of a problem. |
seunoni34:21 months to be very precise. |
Fiestafetta:C2 German---Not too different from a native speaker C1 German--- Proficient in language up to business/professional level B2 German---Advanced and good enough for academics B1 German---Average A2 German---Basic but not beginner A1 German---Ground level, basic beginner |
I don't know if this is good or bad, but Nigeria has a culture that worships money. This love of money and the need to show that we are big is worrisome to me for reasons I really can't figure out properly at the moment. Everybody in Nigeria seem to want to make it so they can flaunt it to the world that they've made it. |
Fiestafetta:For the healthcare sector, I believe the first step is to have at least a B2/C1 level of German before you can get jobs. C1 German would be better. |
What are the local government chairmen doing? |
Schemerkhiz:Wahala |
Why not just download Anaconda? |
BascoVanVeli:Exactly. The likes of Oparanozie, Orji, and Chikwelu were at their peak in women's football while at the U20 falconets category. This excuse of too young to play for the falcons is not a strong one in my opinion. |
lordally:Oga rest nah. Na now you wake up? thread of since yesterday when elders don table with kola and gin na you still dey worry me put? |
egbabiekperemo1:Oga when u read that post u see say I disagree with am again? Nah people like una dey fail exam when una nor suppose fail. |
fowlyansh181:Country nor good na d people inside spoil am and na reflection of the people inside. |
Dreytonisback:Hope your street nor mean crime sha bekos all those crimes they cast everybody even men wen suppose ball in later. |
tensazangetsu20:Yeah I think Nigeria has more jobs than any other subsaharan African nation except Southafrica despite Nigeria's somewhat unstable state. This is very disappointing. Africa is really far behind Europe and I am sure the continent as a whole doesn't even come close to several states in America. |
Cashsteady:I never knew Africa was so bad in terms of job openings because Poland in Europe cannot be considered a rich country in any way, but from the data, I was shocked to see they even have more job openings on LinkedIn than even South Africa. I think Africa has to seriously do better. BTW l'll plea that we do not go tribal on this thread, because although I'm neither Igbo or Yoruba, apart from a few highbrow areas of lagos and to some extent Abuja, there is nothing worth visiting in any state I have been to in Nigeria. |
Princedapace:Okay bro I feel you. |
Princedapace:But your starting a business anywhere would still be to make profit nah, abi? Lol, Nigeria would never go to war. Nor be today we start to dey hear that one. |
