Why are you people insulting yourselves?.

I HAVE LIVED AMONGST IGBOS, YORUBA, AND HAUSA. I can vehemently tell you that they are all the same. Stop deceiving yourselves.

Politicians will just be playing their tune and you people will be dancing to it. SHAME.

This is the reason why Nigeria is where it is. It's not just the leaders but also the nature of the followers.

Bro sincerely speaking if you go through my comments on here you’d see that it has nothing to do with tribalism but base on how it played out. Musa was club-less during the Afcon qualifying round and he was still allowed to play despite the coach saying he wasn’t going to play but to boost the squad moral. So it has nothing to do with tribalism.
Ok no probs.... I get your point. The guy deserve it sha.

I don't need to go through your comments. Your reply alone has vindicated you.

Unmerited. Quota system at work. He’s being played at the expense of better players just to have him get 100 caps and surpass Yobo and Enyeama who got it when they were still playing at the highest level. His substitution cost us the game in Lagos.
Tribalism don do you strong thing..... Abeg take am easy. Even Yobo and co will be happy for Musa.

Do these people look like real men of God?
These are youths that got tired of being jobless and decided to open a business centre and call it a church.

The only way they could make money and thrive their business is by organizing programmes with odd themes that will encourage youths who are curious to visit their business centre and see what is going on there.

The unfortunate thing is that some of them are fetish and once you visit their business enterprise out of curiosity, you will not be able to free yourself from their captivity.

I have a friend who has such business centre in Lagos, the last time I heard from him his business is thriving so well.

You have good perception... these are the guys that sleep with almost all the females in their congregation...

*. 2 Timothy 3:6 "KJV: For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, "

*. 1 Timothy 1:7 "KJV: Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm ."
How should real men of God look like? People like you might meet Jesus and say no....this is not Jesus. You see, the Pharisees and Sadducees who criticized Jesus were not that different.

If both of you really believe in God, then pray for humility.

Did you even know the meaning of the word Cubana?.

PS: I'm not in support of these men...but we Christians should avoid been too hypocritical and embrace humility.

I just registered on 1x bet today.... Reading through this thread makes me wanna abandon the site already considering the many complaints.

What would you advise?
I have been using 1xbet for a long time now. I have only had issues with them once. Currently, they are the best compared to other betting websites available for Nigerians. Their app is easier to use. endeavour to download it for a better experience. If you do not like them, you can also try out betking... a bit weaker in terms of features compared to 1Xbet but they are among the top-rated in Nigeria.

Please be as candid with me as possible.

Is learning web design a waste of my time.

Twice i've embarked on the process of learning it, and twice i've been discouraged saying 'everyone' knows web design and so the competition has driven the price of the market down.

That i should learn programming instead as it is more challenging.

Pls help me.
Forget what most of the guys here are saying. Web Design alone is useless especially n Nigeria.

If your aim is to design website alone without learning about the functioning aspect, then forget it (Nigeria). An ordinary WordPress website designers would be better than you.

Not everyone has a bank account...das fact.

There are lots of tyrants in government. But a sane government cannot force everyone to open a bank account against their wish.

NIN is an upgrade of National ID card

Five questions to answer five
Bros u no get joy @all.

First and foremost... I'm no justifying injustice.

I still stand firmly in my opinion that every sane country should capture it's citizens (NIN in our case). It's a way of differentiating between the Wolfs and sheep. And also a way of determining good sheep's from Bad ones.

Europe and other fast growing countries wouldn't be where there are today if anyone can just stroll in and out randomly without data capture.

Don't misinterprete me as someone supporting evil. I know this country has it's up and down (mostly down). But that doesn't mean we should condem even good developments.

bareal:
So you mean BVN cannot be synchronised across board? Tell me the difference?
Without getting towards the technical side of things, here is a simple explanation:

Bank verification number (BVN) and National Identification number (NIN) are not the same.

BVN as the name surgest is for those that are operating bank account(s). Don't forget that many people do not have a bank account.

Note: I'm not saying they are doing the right thing or synchronization of data is impossible. I'm saying NIN should be mandatory. Every sane country has done the equivalent of NIN

There are lots of Nigerian projects that are older than me that are still uncompleted. Yet year in year out they allocation money and other resources to this projects. WTF!

Sanctioning thses companies is the way to go. If they operate in other countries, they will quickly abide by the rules. But since na Nigeria......they will keep dragging their feet.

Y the desperation on part of govt for NIN? It's definitely not for d benefit of Nigerians. What are they pursuing?
It is for the benefit of Nigerians. Don't just kick against something just because others are doing so .
A country without a well manage database of it's citizens is a breeding ground for crime.

Argentina won 3.1 , but messi failed to score or provide an assist despite subbing all offensive players and leaving him for the whole duration
The fastest way of getting broke is by developing the attitude of arguing over successful people.

I like Messi more than Ronaldo...but that's just a personal preference. But you will never c me arguing about any of them or doing some rigorous comparison.

ProgrammingRe: Why Leaving Nigeria Must Be Your Utmost Priority As A Programmer by GENES11S:
tensazangetsu20:
Oh yes that's why I tell people all the time to learn coding. Infact I have told gerrard59 that when God blesses me the only thing I will do for my homeland is opening a very huge IT centre with a ton of computers for my kinsmen to learn programming. Before I became a programmer I was a mechanic o. I was a mechanic and an auto parts trader with my engineering degree. No job anywhere. I went to volunteer at a mechanic workshop and learnt to fix cars. Left there and went back to ladipo. I was struggling day in day out yet no single Kobo. To even see a 100k in a month was like a huge amount after all expenses were done. It was hell. Even with all the skills I had. I knew digital marketing, how to fix cars yet nothing o. it was a very top guy in the Nigerian tech industry that told me to quit everything I was doing and learn coding. It wasn't easy but everyday I thank God I took that man's advise.

Infact the greatest thing that can lift Nigeria out of poverty now is programming but the greatest hindrance is a laptop and laptops aren't getting cheaper. the laptop I used to learn coding I got it for 75k the same laptop is being sold for at least 140k just in the span of a year.
Calm down bro. We have all been here.

First of all, contrary to what people say, computer programming is not for everyone. Not everyone can live the lifestyle of a computer programmer.

Secondly, the country is messed up but not everything is the government fault. Most Nigerians should share the blame equally with the government. Nigerians are the ones promoting this stuffs. .....Once upon a time, many international payment gateways allow Nigerians to make transactions. What happened, Nigerians started their fraudulent activities as usual leading to Nigeria being blacklisted from the these platform. Now is it the government that did this? No, it is the so-called Nigerians.

I'm not saying the government should be exempted from the blame. Government in Nigeria since when I was born till now has been a total FAILURE. THEY ARE DRIVING NIGERIA IN REVERSE GEAR.

My advice to computer programmers in Nigeria

1. Make sure you get work before before traveling abroad. You can be in Nigeria and search for tech related work abroad.

2. Another way is to entrol for an educative program abroad if you have the money. While schooling you can also showcase your skills and search for work.

3. Stay and help Nigeria overcome: This can be a sucide mission but sometimes the answer isn't always running away. The common misconception about computer programming is that it is all about coding. The truth is computer programming is all about problem solving.
So what, if the world shuts us out. Who says we can not make it on our own. We just need to find a balance.. away to make money while heping people to also achieve their goals.

Africa is the second largest continent in the world...think programmers...think.

As a developer and a football punter, I decided to write a free app to help other punters. The app was a success. But to my surprise, some monikers here on nairaland were using the app to scam people. They claim it's their app, they collect money from people and then send them the app via WhatsApp for them to download and install.

I was so angry when I knew this...I just disabled the app immediately.

The major problem is most Nigerians are too lazy and gullible. They bury their noses in social media and fake news. Some of them don't even know how to simply search for apps, download and install. This make them easy prey for much knowledgeable scammers
