RomanceRe: Getting Married To A White Man: Ladies Opinion by genieluv(f): 4:16pm On Sep 16, 2016
Hmmm, nice thread.

SpicyJosBabe:
Some Advantages i think are associated with marriage to a white man over a Nigerian man grin..... am i right or wrong?
1) No fear on anticipation of Mother-in-law related issues. ;DWhite mother in laws have no time for stalking or analyzing their son's wives characters. They respect their son's choice and never expect you to conform to their standards, they try to get along with you.
2) White families are very supportive and non sentimental, they usually accept the choices of their relative believing their person knows what's best for himself. In summary, their families are extremely nice and non judgemental to you the wife on the average.
3)White men respect and support women and women's feelings, ideas and choices more on the average than black men do.
4) White men are very much career oriented and never lazy, hardly broke and financially empowered.
5) Free Visa/green card and a better national Identity/country to associate with to escape Nigeria's numerous problems. grin
5) Giving birth to beautiful and lovely biracial children.
Your analysis is not out of place. You are quite correct dear.
Personally, i dont know why i have this strange feeling when am with white people. I am skeptical on the issue of interracial marriage. However i do admire it when i see it, especially when the couples match each other like this couple.

That biracial child really looks so adorable. Am in love kiss

My dear, don't mind that guy, some people just have no direction and purpose in whatever they do, what a jobless dude.
And i wish your friend a happy married life, they look good together.
Thank you, i really commend your efforts OP, continue, you have many fans here.

Here is a former coursemate of mine, she is Igala from Kogi and she found love in Rivers state. It was really funny seeing her in Rivers traditional attire grin grin

who said marriages between members of different tribes don't happen? i know of more than a few inter-ethnic marital unions myself.....so what are you saying?
i'm all in support of her effort to showcase Nigeria's unity in cultural diversity.
what i don't get is the false notions & stereotypic n0nsense she keeps throwing around.
if she wants to do something, she might as well try to do it right.
I have been an ardent follower of OP's thread and for me i'd say all her threads have been very good and perfect.
Besides, if someone is making a mistake, is trolling the best way to make the person realize her mistake?
Pls act like the educated person that you are!

you come across as someone who has been an Aso ebi girl one too many times......which makes you too old for me.
now that we have that out of the way..... i should also reiterate that i'm not trolling.
try creating a thread in the culture or fashion section and see if i turn up there.
i'm more active here and as simple logic will dictate, most threads created in this section wander into my line of vision.

and sadly,i don't have a sister. tongue
IamLeger or whatever you call yourself, can't u be civilised for once? This was exactly how you trolled on OP's thread on the beauty of Jos girls and now u are here.
Former Senator of Kogi state, Hassan Kadiri is married to an Igbo woman. Can u dispute that?

This is also a friend of mine, she is from Benue and married to an Akwa Ibom man

RomanceRe: Southern/Northern Nigerian intermarriages by genieluv(f):
Interesting thread by OP smiley

But i think most of the northern/southern inter regional marriages in Nigeria occur between the South and the Middlebelt part of the north. Core northernerns do not seem to marry southernerns a lot except for maybe yoruba muslims.

the Christians are just too foolish for my liking. my mum was offended by an Alfa selling meat when my mum confronted him he said shebi she's a Christian na, she should forgive him.
Christians are so stupid you slap one cheek they run to God for revenge. let them tell us how the nation of Israel survives in Middle East. maybe by praying to ancient wall or building weapons of mass destruction.

am not religious but I find it absurd when a large number of humans who have instinct to fight and survive became so weak due to whatever knowledge. it's crap
May God help us o. Its just sad. This was the way islam overran the middle east and northern africa and islamized all the christian converts and today the few christians left there are slaves. If not for the crusaders who stopped islamic incursion into Europe, Europe would have been islamized. Even at that they have not stopped, they are now using immigration and high birthrates to multiply in Europe, before you know it, these European countries will now become 50/50.

These people are always strategizing and foolish christians keep on taking them for granted.

Tell me how this changes my earlier point.
Ife and Lagos are two different places. One is very cosmppolitan while the other is core yoruba land and more homogenous.

Ofcourse, a maternal side is relevant. That would be upsetting and a lie if I said it didn't. She has both Igbo and Yoruba roots. I don't deny that.
But when it comes to traditional and historical relevance, the paternal side takes the cake. The fact thatshe grew up in lagos does not change much.
She is not different from the thousands of Igbo children that grew up in lagos and ate amala and ewedu.
I don't want to talk about where she got beauty from again. ALright, her Yoruba mother gave her the beauty. Satisfied Now?
She did not grow up in Lagos, but in Ife where her father is a lecturer and her mother is a principal.

lol.
Beauty is deeply genetic. A Kenyan with all the money cannot be beautiful as most brazillian women. And most brazillians are poor too.
Yorubas can be beautiful no doubt, but are not my definition for black beauty in Nigeria. besides, igbos are not all light. Atlaest 40-50 % of igbos are dark.
I still maintain my stance. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. So many Brazillians have black roots and genes, they are mostly biracials and multi racials, try comparing them with their fellow biracial and multi racial countries, even in Africa, take Cape verde for instance.

Besides, i never said igbos are all light, i said they have more light skinned beauties (in respect to the comparison with yorubas).

play your card to your advantage no matter what. politics my friend. if edo were Muslim majority they'll do same just like in northern Nigeria and people like you will do nothing about it.

in politics whatever tool you have use it. ideologies squash ideologies. to keep a balance there must be continuous fight.

tell me one Muslim majority state with a Christian governor? I'll tell you 5 Christian dominated states with Muslim governors.

enough with the liberal nonsense. sometimes one should be a bigot to be safe.
My brother, i dey feel you.
The problem with we christians is over education. We claim to be so enlightened but we are not smart, that is why the muslims dominate us in everything because of their wisdom, they will not seperate religion from politics no matter what and this is why many states in Nigeria with christian majority or equal populations continue to be ruled by muslims.
Nasarawa and Adamawa states have more christians but muslims keep on ruling them. Kogi and Kaduna are 50/50 but muslims keep on ruling them.

But Africans are paternal, so it is the father that determines where a child belongs to. The surname a child bears.
Stella Oduah's children for example, or yemi alade can never be called Igbo people in the real sense of the word. Their fathers are not Igbo , and hence can not be qualified for certain chieftaincy titles in igboland.
I don't want to argue agin on where she got her beauty from, that is childish. She is just as beautiful as any average Igbo girl out there. That is all. And Igbo genetics from her father has a lot to do with that.
Most African cultures are paternal, yes, but that does not mean the mother's side is completely irrelevant or should be thrown away
This girl had her upbringing in yoruba land, speaks more of yoruba language, had eaten more of yoruba food and interracted more with yoruba people and that has gone a long extent to determine her personality.

She is also as good looking as the average yoruba girls out there too. No body is saying that the father's genes had nothing to with her looks but the picture of the lady and her mother speaks more volume. You can juxtapose a picture of her and her igbo father for the whole world to see and appreciate her igbo genes in order to butress your claims.

Beauty is not exclusive to any tribe as an individual, true. But some demographics tend to be more beautiful on average than others.
The brazillians are more beautiful on average than say Kenyans. The igbos are more beautiful on average than say, the yorubas.
Get a bit of comprehension before quoting me.
Pls this is false! If Kenyans were enjoying the kind of money the Brazillians are enjoying, they would have looked as beautiful, beside it is out of place to compare the beauty of whites and biracials to blacks, they are all beautiful in their own way.

Yoruba girls have more of dark skinned true african beauty with a voluptious body size to complement it whereas igbo girls have more of fair skinned beauties, many men prefer the former than the latter, so people are beautiful in their own ways!

Yemi alade may be of an Igbo mother. But she is not eligible for this kind of Igbo chieftaincy title because her father is not Igbo which may be right or wrong according to your ideology. That is the difference between her and Unoaku.
Even the name shows us who is Igbo and who is not.
So what about her middle name Temitope? U people do not see that abi?
She got her beauty from her yoruba mother and that is all that matters.

But her father is Igbo and she would always be nwada. Who knows her Afonja mother?? So if e pain you go and die. What would always be on her certificate of Origin is Igbo. #EOD!
See this one, what if she ends up marrying a yoruba man from her mother's side? Children are so much influenced more by their mothers when it comes to marriage.
