inspired_m:Funny enough, the one who wants to help pay for d car is a Benz lover, so I'm somewhat constrained to go for his choice of Benz C320. I don't want him to have a rethink. I wonder if you have this, and what's the landed cost? Thanks. |
You're the expert man, of course, we can expand the brand and model. I'll gladly welcome your advice and suggestions. Thanks. |
Dear Inspired_man, I guess you're most suited to help me make a decision on which car to go for. I have a budget of not more than 2.5m and I want any of the following car not below 2004, with best performance and least maintenance cost. I want a car that won't spend most of its serving years in the workshop or something like that. So, I want MBenz C320 2005 model, dark blue Lexus (I don't know d difference bw the different trims, I want you to please enlighten me) and Beemer 3 or 5 series. Kindly give delivery prices, or pre-order prices for those not on ground. I'll appreciate your prompt response. |
cool-prop:My bro, what year is this car? And what's the last price, how about N1.5m? |
CGKing: I would have wished to leave it as my last post on this topic but I cannot stand someone swallowing another's campaign of calumny against himself and against his nation. A great nation like Nigeria for that matter. Thanks Spoilt, it's a cheap gimmick, or I say publicity, riding on the back of a people they believe their back is bent. To say the least, King, U surprised me. I put it to you that U don't know what this is all about. When a white man slaps you, people like you will say 'he rubs greatness on me', but when a black man gives U a pat, U say 'it's a dirty slap'. How I wish people in your class will wake up to see you were created to be at par with these white men, and their skin is no more than a variety God created to spice up our world. For how long would you consider a white man a superior being, simply because they have succeeded to make you think they're a God to be worshiped, simply playing on your ignorance of whom you are. Mister, you are more than what you have been brainwashed to think you are. Nobody, by reason of the colour of their eyes or skin, has the right to molest you and rub the rubbish into your heat that you are worth nothing. They are colouring your entire country bad; a country that produced the likes of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Fred Odekhian, Philip Emeangwali, Chinua Achebe, Kanu Nwankwo, and too many to be mentioned can never be said to be producing scammers wholesale. 'Cmmon, break it down, we, in general, are not the worst, but this is a case of 'calling the dog a bad name so we can hang it'. If you swallow this, watch out, the generations after us will not forgive us 'cos we would have destroyed their dignity in the eyes of the world before they are born. The whole world would treat them as pigs as we are allowing them to treat us as half animals now. Remember: No can ride on your back unless it is bent. A word, they say, is enough for the wise. ![]() |
All Nigerians, and indeed all Africans must see what Sony Corporation just did as an eye opener! It exposes the averse Japan, and indeed the entire so-called developed countries have for the countries THEY call 'underdeveloped' or in a modest and modern phrase, 'developing' countries, especially from Africa. They would do anything to keep our industries down, economy bad, our environment unfriendly and degraded, our government unstable and without direction, our people in perpetual poverty and discouraged so that they can spit us out after sucking every goodness that can be derived from us. They take our oil and destroy the environment that gave them the oil, experiment drugs on our people, dump toxins and all forms of auto, electrical and industrial waste in our country. After turning us to scavengers of sorts they turn us back at their embassies as detestable creatures for whom the goodness of this world is not fit. They want to make us, our country and our Government their proverbial laboratory mice. This inhuman trend must be resisted by all, otherwise, it can only get worse. A little blame to them though, greater blame to our leaders who sold us cheap to them for as long as we could remember. During the slave trade era, a brother would sell his own kin and blood to the white men for a material reward. What we see today is no different in principle: people in Government can afford to overlook any havoc the whites do against fellow Africans so the aids and assistance from them don't suffer. I think it's a new and welcome development therefore, to see the people in Government standing up for the country's and her people's image. The re-branding efforts of the honourable Minister of Information and Communications just got a whole new meaning to me. It is a re-branding efforts not only aimed at trying to change the view the whole world has of Nigerians and Nigeria, it is also aimed at stopping the whites from telling us who they want us to think we are, but rather objectively assessing ourselves and projecting our real image to the whole world. To the Honourable Minister: the rebranding effort should see our leaders placing a great value on its citizens, anywhere they are found on the globe. When Nigerians are denied their fundamental human rights, according to the laws of the land they go, Nigerian Government should be seen helping to enforce their rights. When Nigerians are being tried for one crime or the other outside the country, Nigerian Government should explore diplomatic means of making them face the law in their own country, instead of the open shame and disgrace trying them outside the country brings on Nigeria. Like America says: "Never underestimate the power of one". Long live Nigeria. Peace and Unity. |
NLs, I wonder if anyone has noticed that without any notice, MTN has cancelled the special call rates to those on our Friends & Family list. They now charge N53.33k/sec = N32/min for Friends & Family members & non-members alike. To fool unsuspecting subscribers though, dialling *560# will still show ur list of F & F members. That's not all, it's easier for U to remove a member from the list but U are subtly blocked from adding a new number: U'll simply be told 'we're experiencing a network error, please be patient while we fix the problem.' Zain too don't allow U to add a new number to ur F & F list. Though in their case, they still apply d half rate agreed with their subscribers. But the question is why are these pple going from bad to worse? Could we say it's because Mr. Ernest Ndukwe led NCC has been dealing with these capitalists with kid gloves, at the expense of millions of Nigerians? What's going on? |
I happened 2 stumble on this question here and wish to quickly make a contribution. Let's not forget the demons are called dark powers. Doesn't that alone suggest to our minds they like 2 operate unnoticed? How long do some of us live with people in d hood before we begin 2 suspect they're, maybe, armed robbers? 2, 3 decades they may not bother us so long we don't affect their 'buz'in any way. I dare say they've got d primary mission of turning our HEARTS AWAY FRM OUR CREATOR. So, if U don't believe in God's existence and in His sovereignty they've got no serious task with U. If U get unlucly, all a busy-body demon could do 2 U is make ur life in time miserable through some adversities U can't explain. Otherwise, they cud leave you to enjoy d pleasures this life offers. In any case, it's better one isn't born than live his/her borrowed life struggling 2 hold on to the belief that there ain't no God or Satan or demons - Just as human souls are awake 2 ruminate on d activities of d day gone by when d body sleeps, so will d soul stand 2 give a truthful account of d man's life in time when he transits 2 eternity (existence in a sphere not measured in days n nights, no time). Just like sleep isn't capable of stopping d soul frm dreaming, so death would not be d complete end of man, D only unfortunate thing, though is that once a man dies (drops d body) n is awake to d reality he ignored all his life, it would be over, he can not come back to time 2 start swallowing his words or tell people what he's just realising, it would just be wishes no one is able 2 perform. But then, I wonder, why would anyone dare taking such a risk? I don't know if anyone reading this wishes 2 know d infallible Truth, the Anchor of d soul, He who is able 2 guide our souls into all truth, His name is Jesus. Someone tried 2 test d veracity of that claim, U know what? She wrote d book: 'I Dared 2 Call Him Father'. D beauty of knowing one's Creator personally and securing His protection. He still keeps d soul of those who trust him frm d trap of not believing in d existence of God or Satan or demons, n empowers them 2 overcome, till d end. Follow Jesus! |
inspired_m: . Salesmanship skills are sure in ur instincts; U've presented the features of this car with such appeal, colour and glee that it seems I haven't seen them anywhere before. I won't tell U what that did to meBut now that U've whet my appetite for this baby, I can't wait anymore to have the feel. Pls, bring it on, give me the pix and car fax report. , 'Can't wait. We'll talk about the price later. |
inspired_m:While I wait, I need to tell U this: User reviews I've read show that 2002 Jetta from Germany is preferred over Mexican on account of reliability. I therefore share this drift and would also want GLX trim |
@ Inspired_M On a lighter mood, I don't mind all the titles U have on this Nairaland. In fact, at a point in time, after a warrior has been through many battles, the Afobajes would undoubtedly consider him for a title as a recognition for his immense contributions to the welfare of the people of the 'land. Kudos! I have not word for the character slayers, they always abound; I don't expect U to give them much of ur time, as U recently did, from now going forward, 'because it was a distraction from the thread. ![]() Now, back to business, '2000 Jetta' marked '1999'; are U sure it's dutable, and |
@ Inspired_man: How about pre-2004 Jetta, not below 2000. I just need U 2 stay with me till I arrive at my choice. Maybe if I tell U I'm using a 1990 Jetta, which performance & low mtce cost I love so much, U'll know where I'm coming from. I hv preference 4 Jetta! |
inspired_m:. @ Inspired_m Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry for not following up on time. I'm indeed pleased with the Jetta, but I have a budget of something hovering around N1m (+/- N.1). So, if U have quote for, maybe, 2003 or 2002 model of Jetta or Honda baby boy 2000, same colour black and possibly leather seat, I would appreciate. Budget of N1m +/- N.1 mind you. |
To Inspired_m, I also want you to please send me details and a quote for the 2004 Jetta. I'm at geniusbami@yahoo.com. Thanks. |
enokoko:This car "Volkswagen Jetta VR6 (auto) registered", definitely sounds to be within my 'options'. Could you please place the pictures for me to see? Or you can send the pix to my box: geniusbami@yahoo.com. Thanks. |
Thanks, Ezecar, but I need something within my 'options'. |
I own a 1990 Jetta Executive, which takes me to the office and everywhere everyday. It's relly reliable, but due to age of the car, I wish to give it some rest. I've been searching the Auto section and seriously checking specs, pics and features of different cars on the Auto section of this forum. After a long search, my mind now is narrowing down on 2 options: ![]() 1) Jetta 2000(GLX), 2002 (GLX or GLX VR6) or 2003 (GLX VR6) 2) Honda Accord (Bulldog) 1997 EX V6. Whichever available, I want it to be neat, leather seat, Alloy ream and Port-Cleared. The inspired men et al of this forum should pick up the challenge. U can reach me on geniusbami@yahoo.com. Thanks. ![]() |
bolutito:Bolutito, Can U send me pictures of this car, if it's still available? I'm interested. U can reach me on 080 2860 2111 or 080 3722 8411. geniusbami@yahoo.com Thanks. |
I wish to have a Beemer car, but I want to be sure, I'm tiptoeing, just because I have a general opinion that Beemers are usually problematic. Notwithstanding, some folks who have driven it before say it's worth the while to drive a beemer in a lifetime. So, I want to give it a try. My research on MSN Autos show that 2002 3-Series model is very reliable. I would like to have the full pix including the full back view, and the rest. I would prefer leather seat, auto drive. Also, what's your quote? Also, I would need a 1997 Honda Accord EX V6 Leather seat, auto drive. Full pix and quote. Thanks. |
I have a remedy for boredom; I recharge my phone and talk to a talkmate for as long as N3,000 credit can carry me. Then go for break, then go discuss some business ideas with collagues in the office, b/4 U know it, it's time to go home. |
Who wants some love? I have it in abundance, but I've got no one to give it to since the love of my life evaporated into another man's hands. I have love to give, plenty of it. If you can take it without money ('because I don't have that one) then we are MFEO. |
Whether U Can keep ur ex as friend is both personal and relative. From personal experience, if you haven´t corrupted yourselves, both of you would be free, bold and confident around each other. She would even be a testimony to your chastity with your wife. I took my wife to my ex´s introduction and wedding ceremonies and her parents´ and siblings´ comportment around me reassured my wife it had been a platonic relationship. She thus trust me more. So, like I said, it´s a both personal and relative issue. |
Wonder if there can be a solution, but I believe I'm not alone in this predicament. Here it goes: I have a sony ericsson k700i. It gives a lot of problems to charge in that I have to tilt up or down and painstakingly keep it in that position to charge, otherwise, it would remain as I leave it. Any time I try to listen to the FM radio, it behaves like a kid trying to fiddle with it because, every second it goes on and off. That one began with one of the two ear pieces failing. I'm in love with sony ericsson, but I fear higher sony ericsson phones might have the same problems of charging and earphone ports. Anyone have a solution or a similar opinion is welcome to contribute. |
With due respect, our dear proponent for "A Place For Thirty-Somethings" must have had an extremely boring day, otherwise, he should have seen this blog as a place to really unwind. My dear people in Nairaland, is is not correct to think that the more you associate with the young the younger you would be at heart, and the more you feel more comfortable in the midst of people with old school ideas, the quicker grey hair grows on you head. I'll soon be 34 myself, but I enjoy this site more and more. I more like a 22-year old when it comes to plaing ![]() |
I have two issues to put forward. 1. Vmobile has denied rolling out GPRS services, except Vmms. They told a friend, who wanted to be hooked up because I am, he cannot be hooked up yet because no one else has. And by the way, it was not possible for me to be browsing on my phone, they said. 2. I was able to actually enjoy browsing on my phone 24/7 until December 25, when I misplaced my sim card. I did Sim Swap, and since then, I've never been able to use the GPRS services. I send 'wapgprs' to 184, no way. I suppose they have successfully disabled my line. Useful suggestions are welcome. |
