My passport not ready for collection. The waiting continues. Just leaving GCC document collection centre.

Please this question is for graduates that have done their interview Attention: Gentiger, for those with MBA, BSC, Diploma in Networking and Professional Certifications from Cisco and Microsoft as highest qualification do the CO’s still ask them to choose their best subjects in O’level or is it based on their professional area?

You are exempted from O'levels. Focus on best courses and final year project. It's not out of place though to read up your best O'level course just in case.

You have no problem. Since Bsc is your highest qualification you are very good to go.

pls i have something troubling me...i sent some of our marriage pics and certificates together with the forms to KCC and i was wondering if i will see them again blc i noticed that it was not necessary. gentiger or any1 please respond to me.

Was it the original or photocopies you sent? The best bet is that they will return it in your bundle pack to the embassy shortly before your interview. In the main time, certify as true copies all the original credentials you sent to KCC so that you don't get stranded. But really, you weren't meant to send any documents to KCC. It's clearly stated in the instructions.

A reply from ustraveldocs.com says my passport nor ready for collection.

For those of you who have gotten your passports after successful visa interview, did you have to track it? The lady at GSS said immigrant visas are not tracked. What's your take on this?

This is my interview experience, I got to the embassy in Ghana around 6:30am and my interview appointment was at 7:30am. I went through the security checks and this is how the interview went:

What's her favourite food etc. LISTEN very carefully: any contradiction with what your wife answered previously may lead to outright disqualification. I know of a copper in my office who faked marriage i.e. Sham marriage. He won the Dv lottery about 3 years ago through an agent who attached him to a married woman whose husband was in the U.S. The man had tried hard without luck to bring his wife to join him. So this copper succeded in deceiving the CO and today he is in the US with this arrangee marriage. I believe he must have divorced this fake wife now for the real husband to take back. The real husband actually paid the coppers flight ticket etc. Now, u may be unlucky to meet a tough CO who will ask u intimate questions like the ones above and that may just sweep u off ur feet. Mr. Beneficiary, Be prepared! Be warned!!

You are a beneficiary, meaning that your qualification is inconsequential. Your wife who is the principal is where the attention will be focused.

I don't know why that family is troubled. The wife has got a good result to showcase. The CO will want to know what she's been doing since she left school. This helps them guage how productive or otherwise she will be in the US. The greater focus should be centered around her I'levels.

Most times we get robbed by the devil and we attribute it to the will of God. Our ignorance is the tool the evil one works with. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Most lottery winners face the CO uninformed. No pre-information. The few I saw denied would have been smiling if they were well tutored by experts in the house.

Seye4God's testimony reveals the debt of ignorance in DV lottery rules. They were ill-informed. Well, all things works together for good they say. I feel sorry it happened the way it did.

For all those going for interview, prepare hard. Undergo private coaching if you have to. Ask questions. An inquisitor never misses the way. A closed lips is a closed destiny. Shine your eyes well well.

Your wife is super qualified to make it through with her O'levels. They will definitely ask what she's been doing since she left High School. This is where super packaging comes in. Find out the professional name for Hair Dresser in the American English code. It could be hair stylist or whatever. That's the piece of cake to sell to the CO. There's no such thing as Tailor but a Designer. Look for the right Word or Phrase to qualify what she does. Come with a catalogue of her previous works. No one can disprove evidence.

That I haven't booked my flight is cos my passport is not yet in my hands. But my itinerary is fixed. Leaving for the UK on the 27th of February to be with my Dad, and depart Heathrow on the 3rd of March to Dallas. Catch me inbetween if you can.

I pray she doesn't insist before the white Angel in Windows 16 that she hasn't got someone in the States. Then the rest people here will learn from her mistake. No visa for you if you got no one in the US. Outright denial if you CAN'T produce one.

It's still the same position. He applied as a single but is now married. He should have updated his profile with KCC. Since he's silent about it, he must pray this does not get known to the CO on the day of his interview.

He played as single and so he going alone. He's got O'Level and works as a baker at the Sweet Sensation Confectionery. Pls what's are his chances of getting the Visa and your advice house base on ;

He must have someone in the US. That could delay his application or lead to outright denial.
If he's your husband, why didn't he include you as a beneficiary? If this gets known to the CO, his visa will be denied. I hope this enlightens you better.

Imcool: I'll advice anyone going for visa pick up to first confirm d status of his/her visa before going in order to avoid going and not receiving it. U can do so by sending an e.mail to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com. Only type ur international passport number as subject and also as d body of the mail, be sure not to write anything else other than d passport number and u'll receive an automatic/instant reply telling you whether ur documents are ready for pick up. That was what i did till i went to collect my visa. U can get more info about this on www.ustraveldocs.com... Best of luck to u all... SHALOM!

I did exactly that. I sent the mail as instructed and got a reply saying 'Picked Up'. But on getting there today they said it's not ready. They even said immigrant visa can't be tracked online. Is GSS document center owned by the US embassy?

I am a lawyer but very much into information technology. I have certifications in Oracle, Microsoft, Cisco and ITIL. I underwent a program in Project Management but yet to write the exam. I took advantage of NIIT yearly scholarships to do some of these programs on weekends. You can be anything you want to be if you aspire.

Spoondar: from a guy i know it took 5 days to get SSN and 18 days to get his GC and what he did is immediately after he arrived in US he filled all the necessary papers to get those things that means he didnt wait for them to send coz we wrote on the DS230 form he did it immediately he got there
