Crime › Re: John Ocheme Shoots Inah Ubi, A Police Inspector Dead In Lagos by ghettochild(m): 4:50pm On Sep 16, 2021 |
othermen: 1/1/2011 -Police officer Ben shot a trader while trying to extort some street urchins. After firing indiscriminately, he fled the scene.
1/1/2011 -Dr Rita was upstairs in the hospital trying to draft her application for migration to Canada when the trader was brought in by some passerby. The tired nurses kept demanding for a police report. Dr Rita could wave the need for a report and do a first aid which could save the traders life, but she was more passionate about her application and instructed the nurses to insist on a police report before any admission was made. The passerby threatened to abandon the trader, but the hospital security officials screamed at him and almost assaulted him. The passerby regretted his involvement in all of it and promised never to do such assist again in his life. Soon, he drove to the hospital in the next neighbourhood, where the nurses insisted on a deposit, they did knowing the trader has lost a lot of blood and would not survive the hour.
1/2/2011- Several blogs picked up the story and reported the shooting, the story was on trend all through the morning and it seemed everyone on twitter were piqued by the event. The police PRO, CSP Kazeem promised an investigation. It will be the 1,989 pending investigation of civilian casualties in such extrajudicial killing.
1/2/2011- In the evening, the family of the trader had to pay to get her out of the morgue. There were witnesses to her murder but the police insisted on an autopsy but they also wanted the trader to be buried along with her story, so the police secretly facilitated the release of her body and burial… all was soon quiet. Salewa, an undergraduate in U.I couldn’t care less; Abraham in unilag was more interested in the champions league game; Kazeem, a civil servant was not even aware; unemployed Seun was more interested in what the trader sold and if he can explore such.
1/3/2011- Only two news channel reported on the trader briefly while Bobrisky calling himself a sugar mummy trended.
1/4/2021- Dr Rita flew back to Nigeria with her son after several years abroad. The son wanted to see how Lagos looked like. He linked up with some old pals. They were stopped on the highway by the police, who demanded to check through his phone but he insisted and refused. The police assaulted him and as he defended himself, the police soon shot him. Dr Rita’s son was rushed to an hospital on the mainland, and he was rejected due to want of a police report. He soon died.
1/5/2021- CSP Kazeem retired only 7 months ago. His son had pictures of his father’s pistol on his phone and that was enough evidence to get him killed by the police.
And in the end, all of those that were indifferent to the trader’s death suffered similar fate as did, the trader. This should made into a movie and titled "Karma": The Nigerian Vice |

Family › Re: My Mum's Constant Insult Is Driving Me Crazy, It Is Time To Move Out? by ghettochild(m): 3:57pm On Sep 14, 2021 |
Juliusdaughter: Let me just start somewhere Growing up as an introvert was difficult cos I guess my mum didn't understand my quite personality, she talks about how I am not 'sharp' how I am not fashionable and whatever else she cannot really relate to. I am in my mid 20s now and she still insults me when she is in the mood. It's funny how I am the only child she insults so much, I am her first born. I left my former work place due to Corona last year and I've been home since. I have trained as a tailor tho I don't have a shop or customer base yet.
She insulted me tonight again for cooking dinner late, she said why should I finish cooking dinner by past 7? Called me names and all that. Its been over a year that she went to the market last because I now do that, I make breakfast and dinner, I don't keep late night, I barely go out, yet she finds reason to talk me down.
She has started to insult my fiancé now too, she says he is poor and cannot take care of me, what has he achieved for himself? And the reason she isn't much against us is because she doesn't know if he will have money tomorrow. He isn't even jobless, it's just unfortunate that government don't pay their workers on time.
I don't have a single emotional connection with her, I have tried and I have failed. I think it's time to move out of the house and start my tailoring business. I don't have the finance to rent a shop and a house separately, so I want to rent a room and parlor and make it both my living and work space. Is this a good move? I cannot function properly in this house anymore. How do I build my customer base from working in the house? Go to a market place n attach with someone if u have a machine... Start small |

TMKsouth: U guys like dissing the north but you're just as bad. I remember reading that the south has a birthrate double the size of SA. In SA we have 2 to 3 kids on average, southern Nigeria 4 to 6 and the north a bit more than that. That's actually not the issue here..... and I want to tell u why our birthrate d Is more than yours.... It just population difference.. And we dont have teenage pregnancies as much as it is here in South Africa. These kids have sex like there's no tomorrow.... So if providing condoms will help reduced the pregnancy rate.... It fine.. But another problem I see that's been going on is that boys dont like to use condoms..... hence these teenage girls go for pregnancy prevention injections. |

Ammishaddai: A vaccine that hasn't undergone the standard 5-year clinical trial is what you want to inject into your body for the sake of keeping your job ? It is well. Enjoy . Dont u think if they had waited for the so called 5 year period u mentions.. They'd have been more deaths than what has been recorded... and the vaccine is the reason people are back at the stadiums across europe |

James4358: Hello my nairaland family. I'll make this post short & precise... I buried my dad around april this year.
Am the only available child, as my elder brother relocated abroad in january & has refused to make contact. I took a loan to sponsor my bro's trip abroad, & also took another loan from my bank to partly sponsor the burial as all the family burden rested on my shoulders..
Last month, my dad appeared in a dream telling me to hurry up in paying a vow he made in church of abt 50k before he died. I was warming up to pay the vow this month's ending as am stil servicing the loans i got from my bank.
He appeared last week to remind me but yesterday night's own came with severe flocking. Am stil feeling the pains from the cain he used at my back & joints..
How do i contain him before month end when i'll be bouyant to pay the vow.
Am afraid he may return with more beatings,. & am jst 30yrs old, & wouldnt want to have any part of my body deformed as a result.
Your suggestions wil be greatly appreciated! Go cele church.. hare Which kain father b that... Why put the responsibility on u.? Na u make d vow for church. He shd enter bank n take money then come drop it for u on the table in the house then u go pay? When he comes to you...abeg face am and tell him to provide d money then u will go pay... Buy 777 incense...on am... Ur papa no go come for dream again |

Softboy001: ....life has been difficult to say the least, ever since I moved to lagos after finishing my nysc in March, I thought hoped things will be better but it only became... Well let's leave that. I just want advice, that's why I am here.am currently squatting with my elder brother and his fiance in a room and palor self con. They are getting married by December. I have alot of burden to them, they don't need to tell me I know. But what will a man do. I forgot to add am 27 years old. I studied mechanical engineering (HND). My hands are really tied right now. I left a crazy job(30k/months) that I was using to sustain my self. Don't judge me, am not lazy. I left because of security reasons. Plus It was a slave kind of work. Presently am hooked. I don't know where and what to do. I currently don't have up to 5k in my account self. As I no gree do yahoo aka jazz. Na wetin my eyes dey see be this.
...any way my gist is getting to long. There is an man that has always been a father to me. He helped me through school. I really thank him. As in he has done alot. The man just like me for no reason.and has been helping me since I was young. Anyway he called me and then after explaining to him how things has been for him.
He called again after a month. He said he has a deal for me.
The deal is that, he wants to sponsor me to go to canada. I forgot to add, he stays in Austria. Him and his family. So the deal is about 2.5 million naira, so he said he going to work everything for me that includes international passport, visa, airplane ticket, accommodation and also the package includes work also. but the deal is that. He will pay about. 850k. To get me there first. Then when am there and have started working I'll pay 1.8 million to the agency $4k.
So that's the deal. The 850k he is just using that to help me.actually he himself he paying 650k to the agency and giving me 200k as pocket money. Then when I get there I can work and give the agency the remaining 1.85 million.
So please guys, what to do you think. My fears is going to a country I don't know anyone at all, there is so much risk involved canada far o and will I be able to pay up the money. I don't want to owe gbese that I can't pay back.
What do you guys think? Should I go ahead? Or remain in naija?
I have so much fears, that's why am scared of going, what if I go broke?
I have from now till Monday to decide, the processing is starting on Monday Take the offer bro... You cant see anyone who will help u just like that, even family members.. Within 1 year u r done paying up that money.... And maybe this man actually wants to test you.. Just agree... sign documents.... And make sure u pay back within the stipulated time.. If I see such offer... i will jump on it. Anyways i know this man wants to test u. He wants to see how diligent n trustworthy u are.... And once u pay back...he could give back the whole some to u.... Or use it to send another random person to Canada as well.. |
