Let's hope the next Ooni of Ife will not be the type whose "born again-ness" will be announced to the public while he's still on the throne. The same goes for the other obas and baales, irrespective of the class of their crown. Our culture is far richer than something to be subjected to such BS. If you can't identify with the tradition, don't bother to contest for the throne. Shikena!

See the thrash this stupid man is spewing on behalf of his boss o. Little wonder why every tom, dick and harry now deems it fit to insult the people of Ekiti. Fayose and his ilks should continue, nothing goes for nothing. He's forgotten that when his immunity expires, PMB will still be the one in power. You reap what you sow.

MadCow1:
All I saw was;

Ekiti State assembly Approve 19.6 billion Naira Loan for a Mad Man...

Meanwhile, what is Ekiti States Internally generated revenue like currently?

How many decades will it take Ekiti to make 19 billion without Federal Government Alocation from proceeds of Niger Delta oil.

If all Ekiti people sell 1 kidney each, can it generate that type of money?

19.6 billion to buy more rice and share for Ekiti people wey hunger kill.. No jobs created, no economic policy made.. just borrow and chop.

Ekiti is a liability to the Nigerian state.. Give Ekiti state to Cameroon and bring back our Bakassi Penninsula.
You must be silly for this stupid rant of yours! Ekiti may be resource-challenged, but it isn't poor. The poverty rate, the illiteracy rate and the HIV prevalence in Ekiti State is one of the lowest in the country. The state makes N600m through IGR monthly and there's still room for improvement. Before you open your gutter of a mouth next time to insult the people of Ekiti, endeavour to deploy what's inside your skull. Mad cow!

A welcome proposition.

In other news, more than two million of our compatriots are in IDP camps. Some of them are served food with shovels on a daily basis. Thousands of the kids have no access to formal education.

There's peacekeeping and there's peacebuilding. When the institutions of positive peace, like education, human dignity, rule of law, respect for human rights, etc are non-existent, how do you hope to sustain peace, if and when the Boko Haram terrorists are finally defeated?

Illegal refinery, destroy! Contraband good, destroy! Seized food items from Boko Haram, destroy! When are we going to put a stop to this culture of destruction? Millions of Nigerians live on less than $2 a day, not to mention the 2.1 million in IDP camps across the country. Our military and paramilitary agencies should stop destroying things, biko, there are law-abiding Nigerians who need them.
PoliticsRe: ISIS Supporters In Nigeria Get Visas From Turkish Embassy –syrian Envoy by Ghost01(m): 8:33am On Sep 05, 2015
He's got some points there. Many of the foreign terrorists who join ISIS do so by entering Syria though Turkey. And seeing as the Turkish government wants the government in Damascus ousted, one can't rule out their being complicit in the whole issue. Same goes for the Saudi authorities.

what is mediocre about this feat. Individuals attain this feat at lesser age abroad. If the lad deserves it, then he should be awarded on a platter of merit and not heirarchial discrimination.
In fact, it's not only abroad. Adebayo Adedeji became a Professor at the then Uniife (now OAU) at the age of 36.

Guyman02:
NLNG lying about the project, initially they claimed it was a joint venture and then later turned around to say they have no interest in it. The former MD who is Igbo man located the project in the Niger Delta and then the Yoruba MD Babs Omotowa decided to relocate it to Lagos.

The Yorubas had effectively used their control of the media in the past to deceive the Niger Deltans that Igbos who were suffering like them and do not own Oil wells like northerners and Yorubas are their enemies, but today the scales have fallen off their eyes to realise that a good road in Port Harcourt benefits the man in Enugu and a sea port in Onitsha benefits the man in Ikot Ekpene.
You guys keep saying the Yorubas control the media, ignorantly. Daar Communications (AIT + Ray Power) is owned by Dokpesi from Edo. Silverbird is owned by Murray-Bruce from Bayelsa. The Sun is owned by Uzor Kalu from Abia. The Guardian is owned by the Ibrus from Delta. Leadership is published by Nda-Isaiah. The Daily Trust is not controlled by Yorubas. So how do you substantiate your claim?

Is this did suppose 2 b gud news?what nw happen to those graduate in the state? Does dat mean he's encouraging illiteracy in his state?
This is exactly the issue. The last statistics released by the NBS shows that the state has a 94% enrollment rate in primary school education. What happened to the remaining 6%? In a state like Ekiti, that statistics alone should've made the state declare a state of emergency in the educational sector. But no, the governor was busy buying ponmo and pepper in the market. And now, this! What message is he trying to pass across?
