You reap what you sow. Na we say na wetin we want be dis. Tire not, people, we have four more years to weather the storm. |
Missy89: Maybe he got deployed?Hey! What's your own (Ki n' tie)? We said we don't want big grammar again, that who we want is Oshoko. Period! Lolz ![]() |
Signed up for cs50 and two other courses early this year. Have since stopped though. Still hoping to continue and complete the courses before the year runs out sha. For those interested in Intro. to Comp. Sci. I (cs50), you'll love (the approach of) the lecturer -- David J. Malan. |
Nice move. And on the wall of the hospital should be a plaque with the names of the health workers that fell to Ebola in Lagos on it. |
macof: The guy abi na girl, said nothing good comes out of polygamy when the father came out of polygamy |

Gooners, how market? |
Russia is there, China is there, Brazil is there... Must it always be the West? The Nigerian military should better start training its wards in the use of non-West military gadgets and machines, if they haven't already. And the harassment and brutality that civilians suffer, on daily basis, in the hands of military personnels must stop! |
Let them continue o, make we dey watch something. Eeeis, madam, carry ur big behind commot make I see tv screen watch nolly-ghallywood mojo, una dey obstruct ma fiew! |
You want a system where the ministers are accountable to the people and not to an Oga at the Top, the parliamentary system is the way to go. You want a system that allows for more transparency and accountability, the parliamentary system is the way to go. You want a system where policies are hotly debated in public by policy makers, the parliamentary system is the way to go. ... |
Money has changed hands. |
Another day, another jet story. |
So disturbing! This has been happening for years and we are all very aware (and for those like me, we are scared). For those trying to divert the attention from the issue on ground, it is when you are an innocent victim that you'll know. Every time I hear that the police killed armed robbers or that the SSS arrested and detained someone for days, or even weeks, I'm usually disturbed. It's soooo unlawful! No policeman has the right to execute a fellow human being in this country. It's wrong, and whenever such happens, the culprit should be made for account for his/her crime(s). Same goes for our military (wo)men, abusing and harassing the rest in the society just because you wear a uniform and you carry a gun is wrong! People have to respect the law. They should. Stop the torturing and killing of others in the society just because you suspect them of something. Only the courts have the jurisdiction to sentence someone to die (and I'm hoping that in the not too distant future, we too will abolish the death penalty). Stop torturing suspected criminals to extract confessions. Torture is just wrong. I've been abused -- though not too harshly (because I "cooperated" on time) -- by the police before and I know just how dehumanising it is. It's time we said "enough is enough!" |
Good for them. Not too long ago, the Swiss too voted against increasing the minimum wage in their country. In Naija, dat one no fit happen! |
Thieves everywhere--in churches, in public offices, in markets... |
Ours is a government that does more barking than biting--FIFA, NMA, etc. If not, what'll give the Egyptians the audacity to treat this issue with such disgusting levity. First it was the Egypt Air boss here in Naija, and now their ambassador. Suspend the airline for a while, take them to court, penalize them... and the next time they see a Nigerian, they'll bow like the Koreans do when they greet. |
There is no way Oritsejafor's jet will be used for such transaction and he won't be in the know. Even preachers, and their cronies, lie publicly nowadays. O ma se o! |
Crazy, Alive. |
Boiz are not smiling. |
MarvellousGod: Thought Wole Soyinka said he isn't interested in politics? ? Yet he's always in the middle of all political crisis, Rivers state crisis he dey, etc.. Even bashes the First lady publicly. . He should change his ways jare and behave like a prof he isHe's a moral authority, "everyone" expects him to talk, to comment. And come to think of it, he's the only one left standing. |
2cato: Though common sense which is not always common with the mad OL' profesor No terrorist group will ever mention their sponsors or their benefactorsIf you have the least sense you'd know that the moral justification was there for the founding of Pyrate's Confraternity when the white-haired wizard, as a youth, created it. It was a master-servant relationship then, and the oppressed must rise up! So Wole led the "fight!" As for your contemporary cults, what do those ones know? Omode o m'ogun, o n pe l'efo! |
He was a great man in/during a very bad time. May peace rest upon his soul! He served his country. |
SonOfEl: keep laughing....at your ignorance. Dodo. *shakes head in mockery*Don't you know that intelligent comments by olofos like you elicits lafta ni? Those with their eyes open know that TFA got accepted because, inter alia, it told a story that sought not to incriminate, only to explain. Compare it to Ngugi's Weep Not, Child for example. WNC pointed accusing fingers directly, same as Sizwe Banzi Is Dead, The Trials of Dedan Kimathi, Mine Boy, On Trial for my Country, etc--later books all of them though. TFA is a fine book though. Arrow of God is my favourite of Achebe's. Lol. |
SonOfEl: otondo, if u must know, tfa depicted the real africa, it wasn't eurocentric, got it?Hohohoho... *laughing in Kiswahili* |
The South South should be a Norway in Africa. That's if their leaders change their ways sha. |
@OP - That your GF is rude o. You should have gone ahead to to the wedding party with your sister sitting right beside you, on the front seat, leaving your GF protesting on the roadside. To hell with such relationship! * * * But then again maybe your GF and your sister are friends, and the beef is the normal one (girl)friends have. In that case, you did the right thing! |
Good for him! But even I wouldn't vote for him. When it was convenient for him, he hid the SOLA in his name from the general public. Now that he feels he needs it, he suddenly remembers that he has OLUSOLA as one of his names. It looks dubious somehow! This isn't about tribe, it is simply politics! |
FOLYKAZE: Oga pls dont be dodggy abeg. You danced around the concept ni jare, without hitting the nail on the head. It's the same every time you "attack" an atheist for his/her unbelief. And that necessitated my tagging and asking you. Vagueness is not (always) clarity. |
