As expected. Irokoism my foot! Bunch of jokes all of them. |
Was going to bash the woman when I saw the headline, but having seen the content, she is forgiven. Sawyer screwed up though. He was desperate, he lied, and now he keeps murdering, even in death. As the Yorubas will say, "he who lies, steals." Still, may they all rest in peace! |
Impunity. |
Imagine there's a Cameroonian invasion of Nigeria and our Armed Forces are there sitting on their asses claiming they are on strike. |
I'm with you on this @OP. If you haven't already, read Anwar Sheikh's Islam: The Arab Imperialism. http://www.islam-watch.org/anwarsheikh/Islam-Arab-Imperialism.htm |
Mine was: "Did you collect rice during the campaign for the guber polls in your state (Ekiti)?" Told her the rice was meant for party members, and I ain't one. |
16. |
May peace rest upon his soul. |
You'd be suprised to learn that some of those conductors croaking Oo-shod!, 'Balende-See-Hem-Ess ... on Lagos roads are graduates. Some are even more qualified, academically, than you are. Me I no dey talk when passengers dey yab either the driver or the conductor for anything o, we all are victims of the various societal ills that abound around us! |
Who cares what masquerade dances at one festival in Durban? Iya Mulikat, abeg do quick carry my milk & maltina come jare, I no go tey sleep tonight. Oogun eje buruku! |
macof: You can imagine, So in ur town you have two languages?Man, you haven't been to Akoko? Each street in each town has its own distinct language. |
It's nice to see people finally talking about this. Every time, in mainstream media, all you ever hear of are cases where women are depicted as the victims and the males as the villains. Yes, discrimination against women exists but equal attention must be paid to cases where men are the victims of abuse by women in relationships. We are not slaves. Feminism is good, but feminism with empathy is better. You'll even find that some who claim to be feminists are misandrists hiding under the feminism cloak. |
Submitted! Not my finest application though. |
Osun: Ipinle Omoluabi!!! |
Space booked.* |
Isn't this the same APGA that claims it will win the guber polls in Lagos next year? Will comedies never cease! |
Politicians! I've heard stories about Oyinlola's (famous) way with words, especially the Yoruba language. |
Trendy247: TRUE LOVE IS WHEN U KNOW SHE'S GOT EBOLA, AND U STILL ALLOW HER HUG AND KISS UEven Romeo wouldn't attempt that. Lolz |
Anyone who reads historical fictions like Colleen McCullough's Rome series will have a clear idea of just why North Africa has the composition, population-wise, it has today: Turks, Arabs, Greeks, Blacks, etc. It's more or less a melting point, though, in recent times, religion (Islam) has made it more conservative. As for the more-developed-than-the-rest-of-Africa line, I hiss. |
CyberWolf: let them produce two of their notorious members that went missing exactly the same day those two kids were kidnapped..Biodun Jeyifo says the evident poverty in the Niger-Delta region triggered the insurgency in the area. Therefore, BJ knows something about NDi. Makes sense? |
Cyberwolf - "Hamaz political bureau chief, Khaled Mashaal, denied Monday that his organisation was responsible for the abduction. Mashaal told Al-Jazeera that Hamas had no information about the missing teens ...." www.israelhayom.com/site/newsletter_article.php?id=18369 |
CyberWolf: who shot the first rocket..Israel or Hamas?....who first kidnapped 3 children and killed them...Israel or Hamas?..are Hamas keeping quiet while Israel fire rockets?..Are you here to howl or to make concrete contribution? Hamas kidnapped three kids? When? I must have missed it! And why did Hamas start firing rockets in the first place? |
@Descartes - The said Netanyahu who keeps babbling about terrorism is himself a terrorist. Himself and some other right wing politicians in his cabinet, that is. I learnt recently that in the 1990s, as the leader of the opposition in Israel, he was found addressing rallies under a banner that reads "death to Arabs". His recent absurd outbursts and/or speeches also lends credence to that view. www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jul/31/american-media-israel-bias-netanyahu |
@Descartes - You wonder why 1.8 million people will democratically elect Hamas to be their govt? Now here's one: since 1967, 40% of males in Palestine have seen the inside of an Israeli jail. As soon as the Israelis feel provoked, they invade the West Bank and/or Gaza and start arresting Palestinians. The on-going war started on July 8, the IDF has killed more than 1600 Palestininians, most of the civilians, over 400 of them children, more than a dozen families have been completely obliterated.... |
Descartes: You suppose to see a clinical psychologist asap.Like I said, young man, take your time to look into the timeline of events. What immediate events triggered Hamas' assault? You don't invade another people's territory and start arresting (and imprisoning) them in their hundreds and expect them to do nothing. They are human beings for chrissakes! |
Was thinking I'm late to the party and was about to spread my e-mat, but sadly, perennial e-civil war fighters have turned the thread into another Awolowo vs Igbo Biafrans e-fight. People tend to forget that whatever decision is attributed to Awolowo today was debated on and ratified by a military cum civilian council which had Gowon, Danjuma, Mohammed, Obasanjo, Ali, Clark, Enahoro, et al on board. Awo, no matter how larger than life you want to project him, was a civilian in a military regime. |
Omexonomy: but hamas started it all why the insult are you Yoruba?Try and take a look into the timeline of events before you post your next gibberish. And what has civilians got to do with an armed group? Mr Zaqout was killed by an Israeli airstrike in his home....He wasn't out somewhere launching rockets into Israel. Where's your common sense? Where's your humanity? |
As expected. Bravo, Ms. Okagbare! |
